– We got footage from last week after Myles Borne and Tavion Heights captured the NXT Tag Team Titles. Tavion is glad to finally be a champion in NXT. Lucien Price says that Myles is a real one for sticking his neck out there for Tavion. Bronco Nima says that loyalty means more any title. Tavion says that the NXT Tag Team Division is very underrated and we’re looking at a bunch of dogs. They’re going to be fighting champions and ready to show the entire world what this division has to offer. Tavion is super amped up. Tavion says that they’re not turning any challengers. Romeo Moreno immediately chimes in, and Noam Dar tells him to settle down and to let No Quarter Catch Crew enjoy their night.

– Kendal Grey is getting checked out in the trainer’s room. It’s going to take another week for her right ear to heal.

– Coming out of the commercial break, Emily Agard had a backstage interview with Lizzy Rain and EK Prosper. What made EK want to step in and be Lizzy’s tag team partner? The Men’s Division has to step up, right? That’s exactly what EK is doing. Emily proceeded to ask Lizzy how she was feeling. Kali Armstrong snatches the microphone out of her and starts walking towards the ring.

Kendal Grey, Kali Armstrong, Kelani Jordan Segment

Kali Armstrong: I ain’t playing with y’all. I’m The Difference Maker, I ain’t got to wait for nobody. Oh yeah. Hey, NXT Universe, I’ve got something to say. See, Kendal Grey is going to come out here real soon, but I don’t care about none of that. Because, Kendal, now that you’re done with Lola, I want my title shot.

Kelani Jordan: No, no, no, no, no, absolutely not. This is not happening, no, no, no. Kali, I really don’t care to hear what you’re gonna say, because I already know exactly what you’re gonna say. Let me guess, you think you deserve a chance to go against Kendal for the NXT Women’s Championship, but based on what? Kali, I don’t know if you have amnesia or maybe I need to go get the tapes, but I pinned you in that Triple Threat, whether the ref’s saw it or not. Now, you don’t have to get to the back of the line, but you for damn sure are going to get behind me, because I am the one and only woman who’s next in line for the NXT Women’s Championship, because I never, ever, ever, I was not done.

– Kendal Grey’s music hits. Kendal walks down to the ring with Wren Sinclair. Kendal has a contract in her hand.

Kendal Grey: Oh, Kelani, Kelani, Kelani, you’ve been saying the same thing over and over and over, for months now. And to be honest with you, we are sick and tired of hearing you complain.

Kelani Jordan: Well, Kendal, everything I’ve been saying for the past few months has been true.

Kendal Grey: No, what’s true is that, when you were in The Underground, you got your ass knocked out. But last week, I beat The Queen of The Underground, and I kept this. But hey, I knew you were going to come out here saying the same crap. So, here, I got this from Stone, and this is exactly what you want, a contract for an NXT Women’s Championship Match. No number one contenders, no tournaments, just one-on-one, The Champion versus The Standout, to see who the best woman really is. Pick a time and pick a place.

Wren Sinclair: Kendal, you heard the doctors, you’re not 100% though.

Kendal Grey: I know you’re looking out for me, but it’s not time to hit the brakes, it’s time to step on the gas.

Kali Armstrong: Oh, so we’re talking about, all gas, no brakes, right? How about we talk about when I’m going to get my title shot?

Kendal Grey: Well, you can get yours after Kelani.

Kelani Jordan: Keyword, Kali, after I get mine. So, Kendal, since I get to choose, you’re not cleared this week, maybe we can have a title match next week. But then again, I’m not gonna waste my first ever NXT Women’s Title Match here, with these ungrateful fans in Orlando. So, I’m gonna do it at NXT’s Biggest Show Of The Summer, NXT Heatwave.

Kendal Grey: Perfect, that sounds great to me, right? That sounds great, honestly. Can’t wait. Kelani, at Heatwave, you’re gonna find out that you just can’t keep up with Kendal Grey.

Kali Armstrong: Hey, man, hell nah. I came here for a title shot. I don’t know what the hell y’all got going on out here.

Wren Sinclair: Woah, woah, woah, did you not hear her say, after?

Armstrong drops Grey with a big right hand. Sinclair starts throwing haymakers at Armstrong and Jordan. Armstrong and Jordan gangs up on Sinclair. Jordan stares down Armstrong to close this segment.

– We see Cruz Montana talking to Robert Stone in the back. Cruz gives Stone props for making this match happen. He’s finally going to make Grayson Waller eat his words and earn his first shot at the NXT Championship. Keanu Carver joins the conversation. Keanu is pissed that two guys just walk in and get handed a Number One Contenders Match. Stone tells Keanu that now is not the time to complain. Cruz asks Keanu what’s good? Keanu wishes Cruz good luck in the main event. Keanu pats Cruz on the shoulder and walks away. Keanu is just trying to figure things out in NXT. Stone was impressed with his victory over EK Prosper last week. Keanu tells Stone that he’s got way more coming, he hasn’t seen nothing yet.

Second Match: Saquon Shugars vs. Dion Lennox w/DarkState

Shugars dives over a charging Lennox before the bell rings. Shugars kicks Lennox in the gut. Shugars with a Step Up Enzuigiri for a two count. Shugars is raining down haymakers. Shugars blocks a boot from Lennox. Lennox sends Shugars to the corner. Shugars kicks Lennox in the face. Shugars unloads two knife edge chops. Standing Switch Exchange. – We see Robert Stone having a conversation with Rey Mysterio on his cell phone. With Roman Reigns putting his World Heavyweight Championship on the line in Mexico City, Rey wants to know what’s next for the NXT/AAA Partnership. Stone says that it’s a great idea to have Rey Fenix defending his AAA World Cruiserweight Championship on NXT for the next couple of weeks. Stone pitches his go-to stipulation, a Fatal Four-Way Match to determine the Number One Contender for that title. Rey loves that idea. Rey says that EK Prosper should be in that Fatal Four-Way Match, he sees a lot of potential in him. Stone agrees and Prosper didn’t get to have his opportunity at the AAA Latin American Championship. From AAA, LA Parka will be competing in that match. Rey is putting his trust in Stone to pick the final two participants in that Number One Contenders Fatal Four-Way Match.

– Coming out of the commercial break, Saquon Shugars is refusing any medical attention in the trainer’s room. Grayson Waller appears. Grayson says that Saquon should stop wasting his time running his mouth on social media. He just got ran over by DarkState. Grayson tells Saquon to stop feeling sorry for himself and do something about it. Saquon grabs a steel chair and walks away with his baseball bat in his other hand.

Third Match: Zaria (c) vs. Wren Sinclair For The WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship

Sinclair with The O’Connor Roll for a one count. Sinclair with a matchbox cover for a two count. Zaria with a shoulder block. Zaria applies a hammerlock. – The Vanity Project are venting to Rober Stone in his office. Brad Baylor says that Myles Borne and Tavion Heights are not even a real tag team. Jackson Drake tells Stone that it’s time that he starts acknowledging the fact that The Vanity Project is the best thing going. Grayson Waller can talk about how soft this men’s division is, but he’s sure as hell not talking about The Vanity Project, because Swipe Right would run circles around any tag team in the division, and nobody in the locker room can touch Jackson Drake on his worst day. Myles Borne and Tavion Heights joins the conversation. Ricky Smokes tells No Quarter Catch Crew that they’re running things back tonight. Stone denies that claim. He’s going to give Vanity Project the same opportunity he gave No Quarter Catch Crew. Next week, if Jackson Drake could win his match, then he’ll get a shot at the NXT North American Championship and Swipe Right will get their rematch for the NXT Tag Team Titles. If Jackson Drake Lose, They’ll Lose Everything. Drake says that Vanity Project are going to take home all the gold at the same time at NXT Heatwave. Tavion says that it’s stupid for Myles to wrestle twice on the same night. Stone hasn’t decided when both of those title matches were going to take place. Well, are they fighting champions or not. Myles says that if Jackson Drake wins, he’ll wrestle twice at NXT Heatwave. Jackson Drake’s opponent will be Shiloh Hill.

– Bronco Nima is hyping up Lucien Price before his match with Lexis King. Bronco says that it’s time to eat. Lucien tells Bronco that he’s got this, he’s going to handle business on his own. This is his Plan B.

Fifth Match: Lexis King w/The Birthright vs. Lucien Price

King wants Price to shake his hand. Price gets distracted by Stacks. King slaps Price in the chest. King ducks a clothesline from Price. King with a blistering chop. Price launches King to the corner. King with a double boot. Price chops King out of mid-air. Price talks smack to King. King begs for mercy. Price sends King to the corner. King dives over Price. – We see Robert Stone talking to Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair in his office. Wren wants another shot at Zaria. She was this close to becoming the Women’s North American Championship until Saquon Shugars and DarkState got involved in her match. Stone says that he has to think about it. Wren wants to sweeten the pot. Since Zaria is still obsessed with the Speed Women’s Championship, because Sol Ruca had it, let’s make this match a Title Unification Match. Stone tells Wren and Kendal that they’ll be facing Kelani Jordan and Kali Armstrong in a Tag Team Match. Wren says that Kendal is still not medically cleared. Kendal says that she’ll be fine. They’ll both be walking out of NXT Heatwave with all of the gold. Next week, Kelani and Kali are going to find out what happens when you mess with The WrenQCC.

– Coming out of the commercial break, we see Jaida Parker talking to Thea Hail in the locker room. Jaida proved that she had Thea’s back. NATTIE tried her big one last week, and she ended up a loser. They have The Dungeon’s number. Thea still wants to fight Nattie, she’s tired of her walking around like she owns the place and being mean to everybody. Jaida tells Thea, respectfully, that Nattie is not as easy as she looks. Nattie had Jaida down bad for a while and she doesn’t want the same thing to happen to Thea. Thea says that she feels good right now, and she finally feels like she belongs, and she has Jaida to thank for that. She hasn’t had a friend in a while and it feels good. Jaida wishes Thea the best of luck next week. Jaida tells Thea that she’ll be in her corner. Thea gives Jaida a big hug.

– We see Noam Dar chatting up with Romeo Moreno in the social lounge. Romeo said that Mr. Stone gave him the biggest opportunity of his career, but he can’t take it. He wants Romeo to compete in the Fatal Four-Way Number One Contenders Match For The AAA World Cruiserweight Championship. What’s the problem with that? Romeo says that they’re a team and they’re still figuring things out, and he doesn’t want to abandoned Noam Dar. Dar tells Romeo that he can’t turn down opportunities like this, and he always told him how much he loved The Cruiserweight Classic. Dar says that Romeo is two victories away from becoming Cruiserweight Champion, so get it done, then they can have a fiesta. Tristan Angels joins the conversation. Tristan tells Romeo to curb his enthusiasm, because it doesn’t matter whether he’s in the match or not, Stone selected him to be the fourth and final participant. And while Tristan has never considered himself a Cruiserweight, with this snatch waist, he qualifies, so why not. Tristan says that he’s going to extinguish Rey Fenix’s flame and take that AAA World Cruiserweight Title after he disposes Romeo Moreno, EK Prosper and that ridiculus bag of bones, LA Parka.

Sixth Match: Cruz Montana vs. Grayson Waller In A Number One Contenders Match For The WWE NXT Championship
