Cody Rhodes: So, Charleston, West Virginia, oh, what do you want to talk about? I know what I want to talk about. I want to talk about Crown Jewel, I want to talk about Randy Orton, I want to talk about Last Man Standing. It is my first time competing in a Last Man Standing Match, but the concept is simple, it’s simple, but it’s barbaric. There’s no pinfalls, there’s no submissions, there’s no disqualifications, you have to incapacitate your opponent, you have to put him down until he cannot answer the count of ten. Now, I want to do something different tonight, I want to do something with my time out here, perhaps a bit unexpected, I would like to apologize. I would like to apologize, because Randy Orton has five children, Randy Orton has a wonderful wife, Randy Orton has fans in every single arena across the globe. And I want to apologize for having to keep my promise, I want to apologize, I want to say sorry in front of God and the whole world for having to change his complexion as he’s changed mine, for having to change how Randy Orton sees and how he is seeing.
I don’t want to leave a cob, but please take a look at this photo. Believe it or not, I won that match. At WrestleMania, in the main event, it should’ve been a milestone moment. Now, you see that, that was the barbarism I was referring to. Now, Randy Orton knows this, there are receipts in pro wrestling, but then there’s receipts and then there’s taking somebody to the cleaners. There’s receipts and then there’s bankrupting somebody. Randy Orton, you have punted dozens of WWE Superstars, some of them are no longer living. I want you to know that every single one of them is loaded up, right here in this foot, and it zings across your oversized damn skull. And I haven’t minced words, and I will continue to not mince words, it’s very clear, the implications of whoever is the Last Man Standing. And whether the champion be Trick Williams or our current WWE Champion Sami Zayn, it’s clear, whoever the Last Man Standing is will likely be the number one contender. And the Last Man Standing will be the only man punting, and that is me. Charleston, West Virginia, have a great night, good night.

But you know, I do have to say, that after watching you the last couple of weeks, I’ve come to realized that our journeys to this moment are more alike than I think we’ve ever realized. I think when you and I started in WWE, no one really expected much from either of us. But through hard work and determination, we both rose to the top of our divisions, and are standing here WWE Women’s Champions. But, but, but, but, there is a very clear distinction between you and I, Chelsea, and that is that I am a real champion, and you, you are a joke, Chelsea, you are useless, you add absolutely nothing to this women’s division. And if I’m being quite honest, if you got fired for a third time, nobody here would even notice. You have been a very, very, very lucky girl, but at Crown Jewel, your luck is gonna run out, because I promise you, I’m going to eat you alive.

– Cathy Kelley had a backstage interview with Sami Zayn. It’s no question that Sami has very vocal about disdain for Trick Williams, so does he have any words before his title defense tonight? From the moment Sami recaptured the WWE Championship, he’s dealt with an immeasurable amount of disrespect, from all the way to the top to all the way to the bottom. The first week Sami won the title, Nick Aldis said let’s see if you can make it past nine days this time. Roman Reigns doesn’t think I’m going to make it to Crown Jewel with this championship. And now Danhausen of all people is giving his opinions. Nobody seems to think that Sami is going to hold the title long. Do you really think that Sami, after all the sacrifices, he’s made to get this title is going to lose it to Trick Williams and his big mouth? Everything good about Trick Williams you can buy at a store, but you can’t buy what Sami Zayn has, the grit, the resilience, and the survival skills. Sami has earned everything. He’s the most versatile WWE Superstar of all-time; he’s most adaptable professional wrestler of all-time, he’s one of the all-time greats, there will never be another Sami Zayn. He’s not gonna wait till he’s retired to get the respect that he deserves, he’s taking it and it starts tonight. Sami says that he’s going to beat Trick Williams tonight, and then he’ll see Roman Reigns on the other side.
– Coming out of the commercial break, Cathy Kelley had a backstage interview with Blake Monroe. What are her eyes set on after concluding her rivalry with Giulia last week? Now that unsavory incident with Giulia is beside her, it’s time to refocus on what she came to SmackDown to do. It’s clear to anyone with eyes or common sense, Blake Monroe is world championship material, and quite frankly, Chelsea Green is choking the under pressure, and here she is ready to step into the spotlight. Paige joins the conversation. Just because Blake won one match, it doesn’t make her championship material. Blake admits to being a huge fan of Paige or she was a decade ago. Blake has some advice for Paige, don’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong. Paige has some advice for Blake as well, and that’s to watch her mouth, and she walks away.

Trick is getting tired of Sami Zayn acting like he’s a brand-new man just because he has the WWE Championship. Newsflash, because you have a title around your waist doesn’t give you magical powers. Trick has already beat Sami twice, and nothing has changed. You can put a wig on a pig, but you’re still nothing but a pig with a wig on. Not only does Trick plan to walk out with his United States Championship, but he’ll have the WWE Championship around his waist, and from there he’s gonna head to Monday Night Raw, and we’ll see two action figures, two grown men going face-to-face, as “The Anointed One” Trick Williams meets “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns, let’s talk about it. You know how many times Priest has got a shot at that title? Zero, but that’s what he gets for wasting his time with R-Truth. Truth took himself out, so he’s no longer Priest’s issue, now he has to focus on these clowns who call themselves champions. If Nick Aldis doesn’t make this right, Priest is gonna start stacking bodies in front of his office until he gets what belongs to him. Fraxiom joins the conversation. They want revenge for Priest attacking them last week. Frazer says that one of them will be facing Priest in a match and he’ll feel the same pain R-Truth is going through. Priest is in a different head space now. Priest turned his back on Truth, and he enjoyed it, just imagine what he would do to Fraxiom.
