– Michael Cole breaks down the bracket for the World Heavyweight Championship Number One Contenders Tournament featuring some of the best luchadors from Raw, SmackDown and AAA. The winner will get a World Heavyweight Championship Match against Roman Reigns on September 14th from Mexico City, Mexico.

Jey says that it doesn’t matter, because he’s going to get this dub tonight, and bring Solo back to The OTC, personally, something Jacob’s ass couldn’t do. YEET! Jacob said that he did his thing last week. The only way Solo is coming back to the family is if Jey gets that dub tonight, with his punk ass.

– WWE announced today that there’s going to be another European Tour heading into the 2027 Royal Rumble. Starting with SmackDown on January 15th from Brussels, Belgium. January 18th Raw will be from Glasgow, Scotland. SmackDown invades Manchester, England on January 22nd. Raw for the first time ever will be live from Dublin, Ireland on January 25th.

– Byron Saxton had a backstage interview with The Vision. Logan Paul says that there’s no bad blood with The Alpha Academy, they’re beneath them and they’re losers. The only bad blood with Alpha Academy is Otis’ blood pressure. Maxxine Dupri says that she knows Akira Tozawa better than anyone, that’s why he doesn’t stand a chance against her bad-boy, the hottest, most jacked, talented, tenacious superstar in the WWE, Austin Theory. Theory tells Byron that he’s going to kick Tozawa’s ass tonight, because he deserves it. What does Theory deserve? Well, he has Maxxine and they walk away. Bron Breakker looks completely despondent. Byron asked Bron if he wanted to say something. What does Byron think about Oba Femi? He likes him. Is he the future? That’s what Brock Lesnar said at SummerSlam, Byron responded. Bron says that Byron sounds a lot like Paul Heyman and walks away.

Second Match: Austin Theory w/The Vision vs. Akira Tozawa

– Cathy Kelley had a backstage interview with Rey Mysterio. What stood out to him during PENTA’s match with Laredo Kid? Rey says that Penta and Laredo had a banger of a match, and he knows that when Raw returns to Mexico City, Roman Reigns is going to have his hands full. Dragon Lee joins the conversation. Lee expresses his gratitude to Rey for allowing him to compete in this Number One Contenders Tournament. Rey says that Lee doesn’t have to thank him, he earned this spot. Dominik Mysterio barges in. Rey has a tournament with all the luchadors, yet he doesn’t have The King Of The Luchadores in the tournament? Rey says that Dom didn’t need another handout, that’s how he became a jackass in the first place. Lee tells Dom to show respect to his father. Lee is gonna go have a conversation with Adam Pearce. Lee challenges Dom to a match and he wants to prove why he’s the fake King Of The Luchadores. Dom accepts Lee’s challenge. Dom is going to show Lee why he’s The Greatest Mysterio Of All-Time.

Becky Lynch, Stephanie Vaquer, Liv Morgan Segment 

Stephanie Vaquer: Hola, WWE Universe. I’m so happy to be here. I really missed this ring. I missed every Monday Night Raw. And I missed you guys. Thank you for all your support. But most of all, I really miss seeing Liv and Judgment Day get scared every single time they see me coming. You may have the numbers game, but you will never destroy me. I’m going to take out The Judgment Day, one by one. Raquel, I beat you up a thousand times, and I can do it again and again. Roxanne Perez, you are a dead woman. And Liv. Liv Morgan, I know you’re scared and you should be, because we both know that title belongs to me.

– Becky Lynch makes her way down to the ring.

Becky Lynch: The Man has come around to Norfolk, Virginia. Hola, senorita, how are you doing?

Stephanie Vaquer: What do you want?

Becky Lynch: What do I want, that’s what that means, what do I want? What do I want, oh, that’s a good question. I don’t want a lot. I probably want the same thing that you want, I want to beat the ever-loving piss out of Liv Morgan, for different reasons. You have a score to settle, I just don’t like the dope. And she’s taking that title on a fast-track time machine back to the Mid 2000’s and I have worked too hard, for too long to watch that happen. But you, I don’t know too much about you, I think you like to keep it that way, you’re a bit of an enigma, very mysterious. But what I do know about you is that you have made a big, big impact on Raw in the very short time that you’ve been up here, I do know that. And I do know that is especially impressive, considering you seem to be gone more often than you’re here.

Hey, you’ve had a run of bad luck, happens to the best of us, it’s okay. And I can’t figure out if you’re this bad ass, that just rushes back before you’re ready, because you want to fight or your body gives up, so that your mind doesn’t have to. But what I do know is that title doesn’t need any more bad luck. And I don’t consider myself particularly lucky, but I do consider myself particularly good. So, you can settle your score with Liv Morgan, you can beat the crap out of her, you can get your revenge, I’ll sit there and I will cheer you on, and I will eat popcorn while you do it. But when it comes to championship matches, that’s my domain. You don’t deserve that title, that title deserves me.

Stephanie Vaquer: Becky, Becky, Becky, respectfully, I don’t care. And listen, get in my way and I will show what La Primera is all about.

– Cathy Kelley had a backstage interview with LA Knight. Saying things got personal between LA Knight and Roman Reigns last week would be a massive understatement. Now that Knight has had a week to process everything, where does he stand? Let me talk to you. He stands in the same place he stood last week, which is Roman Reigns comes out here and says the same boring stuff he always says, like, get to the back of the line, and you didn’t earn it, and talks about his waste of money watch. Knight went ahead and got 10 more Walmart Watches, and they all tell the same time, it’s time for Roman Reigns to figure out if he’s got enough tingle in his loins to face him. True to his word, Roman set up a tournament last week, and LA Knight is going to win it. Cathy reminds Knight that it’s a Luchador Tournament. How convenient, Knight said. Solo Sikoa appears. Solo knows that Knight is dealing with Roman’s business, but did he see what happened to Royce Keys last week? The same thing may happen to Solo tonight, and then they’re going to come after Knight next. Knight says that his alliance with Solo at SummerSlam was just one night only. Solo says that Knight doesn’t get it, it’s not just him fighting Roman Reigns, it’s him against the entire Bloodline. Solo knows that Knight doesn’t need his help, but at least he tried to warn him.

Third Match: Dominik Mysterio vs. Dragon Lee

– Byron Saxton had a backstage interview with Sol Ruca. What are her thoughts on her upcoming tag team match with The Judgment Day? Sol says that she’s been in this Judgment Day Vortex for months, and quite frankly, she’s sick of it. After last week, she has a score to settle with Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. Tonight is all about revenge, and after she beats them, she’s going back for what’s hers, The Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Is it safe to assume that Sol has a tag team partner? Let’s just say that Sol is not the only one that wants revenge on The Judgment Day, so it’s not very hard. Danhausen appears. Danhausen is willing to be her tag team partner for a big discount. Sol says that the spot has been taken and she’s sorry. Danhausen asks Byron Saxton for money. He doesn’t have any. Danhausen walks away in disgust.

– The 40th Annual Royal Rumble will take place in February 2027, from State Farm Stadium in Pheonix, Arizona. State Farm Stadium was the home of WrestleMania 26.

– We see LA Knight talking to Adam Pearce in the back. Pearce is claiming that Knight is wrong about Roman Reigns. Knight continues to call Roman a fraud, a liar, and if he’s not a liar, then he’s a coward. Knight has a Lucha Mask and he can enter his stupid little tournament. Pearce and Rey Mysterio have been preparing tournament for weeks. If Knight wants to be frustrated about Roman Reigns, be frustrated about the tournament. Knight has known Adam Pearce for a long time. He’s giving Knight his word, on the other side of this tournament, Pearce will find a way for Knight to earn that Number One Contenders Spot. Knight tells Pearce to work on that. Knight turns around and sees Jacob Fatu. Jacob says that Knight doesn’t get it, he keeps running his mouth about his family, talking about The OTC, if Roman gave Jacob the green light, he would dog walk his ass. Knight reminds Jacob that his Tribal Chief gave him strict orders to not lay a finger on him, so he’ll need to get a permission slip from his Tribal Daddy. Jacob tells Knight to shut his ass up. Knight says that Jacob is talking to the wrong person, he’s not Jey Uso. Jacob says that he’ll dog walk Knight’s bitch ass, and if you don’t already know, Jacob Fatu is all gas, no brakes with it, YADADAMEAN? FA-TU!

– Coming out of the commercial break, we see Rey Mysterio chatting with PENTA in the back. Rey said that it was very important to start this tournament off with a bang. Chad Gable joins the conversation. Gable said that Penta had an unbelievable performance, as usual, that’s why he’s his favorite. Penta says that Gable is his favorite, too. Penta tells Rey and Gable that he’ll see him later. Gable puts over Rey’s work as General Manager in AAA, and this tournament is going to go down as one of the coolest things we’ve seen in a long time. Gable tells Rey that it would be an honor to defend the Intercontinental Championship against the greatest luchador of all-time. Rey may be the General Manager of AAA, but he still has a lot in the tank, so he would be honored to face Gable in the ring for the Intercontinental Championship. Gable is gonna talk to Adam Pearce to make this match official.

– Sol Ruca and Iyo Sky runs into Lyra Valkyria in the back. Lyra sees why Sol needed Iyo as her tag team partner tonight, she really needed that victory, she’s so happy for her. Lyra can bet that Sol is ready to backflip her way back into her Women’s Intercontinental Championship. But here’s the thing, if Lyra hasn’t been able to recapture that title, what makes Sol think that she can? Is Sol better than Lyra? What has Lyra done to get a title shot. Lyra tells Sol to go ask Bayley. Sol says that she doesn’t skip ahead of anyone for a title match, nor does she get title shot handed to her.
