Block A Standings: (Coming out of the July 23rd Event, Bad Luck Fale, Tetsuya Naito, Hirooki Goto, Kota Ibushi, Zack Sabre Jr. and Hiroshi Tanahashi has four points, Tomohiro Ishii and Togi Makabe has two points, Yuji Nagata has yet to score a point in the tournament )

First Match: Shota Umino & Kota Ibushi vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Togi Makabe 

Ibushi and Umino attacks Taguchi and Makabe before the bell rings. Umino ducks a clothesline from Taguchi. Umino drops Taguchi with a big right hand. Umino goes for a dropkick, but Taguchi holds onto the ropes. Taguchi stomps on Umino’s chest. Ibushi and Makabe are brawling at the ringside area. Taguchi dropkicks Umino for a two count. Taguchi applies a Single Leg Boston Crab then transitions into a STF. Taguchi bodyslams Umino. Taguchi stomps on Umino’s back. Taguchi tags in Makabe. Makabe lands a series of forearm smashes. Makabe bodyslams Umino. Makabe talks smack to Ibushi. Taguchi and Makabe are cutting the ring in half. Taguchi drops Umino with a back elbow strike for a two count. Taguchi tags in Makabe.

Umino repeatedly slaps Makabe in the chest. Umino follows that with a dropkick. Umino drops Makabe with a running haymaker. Umino tags in Ibushi. Ibushi knocks Taguchi off the ring apron. Ibushi and Makabe are trading back and forth shots. Ibushi with a Spinning Heel Kick to the gut of Makabe. Ibushi drops Makabe with a Buzzsaw Kick. Ibushi follows that with a Standing MoonSault for a two count. Ibushi lands more clubbing forearms. Makabe responds with a PowerSlam. Ibushi connects on lighting quick offense. Umino lands a series of running shoulder blocks in the corner. Umino follows that with a Hip Toss for a two count.

Umino goes for a Boston Crab, but Taguchi crawls to the bottom rope to create separation. Umino plants Taguchi with a SpineBuster. Umino locks in the Boston Crab, but Makabe comes into and starts kicking Umino in the face. Ibushi drops Makabe with a Missile Dropkick. Ibushi follows that with a SlingShot CrossBody Block to the outside. Taguchi connects with a Flying Leg Lariat for a two count. Taguchi goes for a running knee strike, but Umino counters with a school boy roll up for a two count. Umino follows that with a inside cradle for another two count. Taguchi locks in the Ankle Lock which forces Umino to tap out. After the match, Makabe and Ibushi continues to brawl on the outside.

Second Match: Yoshi Hashi & Tomohiro Ishii vs. Katsuya Kitamura & Tomoyuki Oka 

Ishii and Oka will start things off. Collar and elbow tie up. Ishii backs Oka into the ropes. Oka lands a series of rapid forearm strikes. Now we have ourself a forearm exchange in the middle of the ring. Ishii lands a clubbing blow to the back of Oka. After another forearm exchange, Oka is left staggering. Ishii repeatedly kicks Oka in the ribs. Oka HeadButts Ishii. Ishii responds with a running clothesline. Ishii sends Oka to the corner. Oka drops Ishii with a running shoulder block. Ishii and Hashi are double teaming Oka in the corner. Ishii talks smack to the referee Hashi kicks Oka in the back. Hashi lands a big knife edge chop. Hashi with a snap mare takeover into a rear chin lock. Ishii and Oka starts brawling with each other after Oka attacks Ishii who was standing on the ring apron.

Ishii repeatedly kicks Oka in the head. Hashi places Oka on the top rope. Hashi connects with a Basement Dropkick to the back for a two count. Hashi goes for a running back elbow strike, but Oka counters with the Body Avalanche in the corner. Oka follows that with a belly to belly suplex. Ishii attacks Oka in the back before he can make the tag to Kitamura. Oka drops Ishii with a shoulder block. Oka tags in Kitamura. Kitamura lands a series of running shoulder blocks. Kitamu goes for the Corner Clothesline, but Hashi counters with a Big Boot. Kitamura connects with a vertical suplex. Kitamura follows that with a Gut Wrench Suplex for a two count.

Kitamura and Hashi are trading back and forth knife edge chops. Hashi goes for a cover, but Kitmaura kicks out at the count of two. Hashi locks in the Boston Crab. Oka breaks up the submission attempt. Oka plants Hashi with a SpineBuster. Oka follows that with a Reverse Death Valley Driver to Ishii. Oka lands another Body Avalanche in the corner. Kitamura Spears Hashi for a two count. Kitamura goes for a bodyslam, but Hashi gets back on his feet. Hashi drops Kitamura with a big lariat. Hashi gets Kitamura trapped in the Butterfly Lock which forces him to tap out.

Third Match: Hiromu Takahashi & Tetsuya Naito vs. Hirai Kawato & Yuji Nagata 

Nagata and Naito will start things off. Naito prances around the ring and tags in Takahashi. Naito attacks Nagata from behind. Nagata goes for a Big Boot, but Naito ducks out of the way. Takahashi lands a clubbing forearm to the back of Nagata. Nagata drops Takahashi with a running leg lariat. Nagata tags in Kawato. Nagata and Kawato are lighting up Takahashi’s chest with a series of buzzsaw kicks. Kawato goes for a cover, but Takahashi kicks out at two. Kawato lands a flurry of forearm smashes. Takahashi lands a clubbing axe handle to the back of Kawato’s neck. Takahashi connects with a back bodydrop. Takahashi knocks Nagata off the ring apron. Naito sends Nagata back first into the steel guard rail. Takahashi repeatedly stomps on Kawato’s chest in the corner. Takahashi tags in Naito. Naito bodyslams Kawato. Takahashi and Naito are cutting the ring in half. Takahashi slaps Kawato in the chest for a two count. Takahashi gets Kawato trapped in the Camel Clutch.

After the tag, Naito attacks Nagata who’s standing on the ring apron. Naito is mauling Kawato in the corner. Kawato responds with a Big Boot. Kawato follows that with a dropkick. Kawato tags in Nagata. Nagata with a Big Boot that knocks Takahashi off the ring apron. Nagata lands a series of buzzsaw kicks across the chest of Naito. Nagata connects with the Helluva Kick. Nagata follows that with a Exploder Suplex for a two count. Nagata goes for a vertical suplex, but Naito gets back on his feet. Naito lands a couple of forearm across the jaw of Nagata. Naito drops Nagata with a back elbow strike. Naito follows that with a Basement Dropkick. Naito connects with the SlingShot Dropkick for a two count. Naito lightly kicks Nagata in the head. Naito goes for a German Suplex, but Nagata blocks it.

Naito lands a leaping enziguri. Nagata responds with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Takahashi and Kawato are tagged in. Kawato ducks a clothesline from Takahashi. Kawato connects with a head scissors takeover. Kawato connects with a SpringBoard Missile Dropkick for a two count. Kawato goes for a submission hold, but Takahashi immediately escapes. After a forearm exchange, Takahashi drops Kawato with a stiff lariat. Takahashi locks in the Boston Crab, but Nagata breaks up the submission hold. Naito lands a Basement Dropkick that sends Nagata rolling out of the ring. Kawato tries to fight off Takahashi and Naito, but it was to no avail. Takahashi SuperKicks Kawato for a two count. Naito and Nagata are brawling on the outside. Takahashi gets Kawato back into the Boston Crab. Kawato finally is forced to tap out. After the match, Nagata and Naito engages in a pier six brawl.

Fourth Match: Chase Owens, Yujiro Takahashi and Bad Luck Fale vs. El Desperado, Taichi and Zack Sabre Jr. 

Suzuki Gun and Bullet Club are brawling on the outside before the bell rings. Sabre applies an arm-bar. Fale sends Sabre back first into the steel guard rail. Fale starts choking Sabre afront of the steel ring post. Desperado is ramming Owen’s face into the canvas. Owens goes for a Dragon Screw Leg Whip, but Desperado counters with a rake to the eye. After block a big boot, Owens lands a spinning heel kick across the chest of Desperado. Desperado responds with a running uppercut strike. Owens plants Desperado with a Death Valley Driver. Sabre and Fale are tagged in. Sabre goes for the Leaping Kimura Lock, but Fale backs him into the turnbuckles. Sabre ducks a clothesline from Fale. Sabre applies a Sleeper Hold. Sabre goes for a Rolling Crucifix, but Fale blocks it. Fale misses on the Seated Senton. Sabre connects with the PK for a two count.

Fale launches Sabre to the other side of the ring. Fale drops Sabre with a shoulder tackle. Fale tags in Takahashi. Takahashi lands a forearm smashes. Sabre goes for a Big Boot, but Takahashi counters with a leg sweep. Takahashi follows that with a Basement Dropkick. Takahashi goes for a Fisherman’s Buster, but Sabre counters with a leg sweep of his own. Sabre tags in Taichi. Desperado knocks Owens off the ring apron. Desperado plants Takahashi with a Spine Buster. Taichi lands a leg lariat for a two count. Fale and Sabre are brawling on the outside. Taichi lands a series of slaps across the chest of Fale, but to no avail. Fale grabs Taichi by his hair. Fale plants Taichi and Desperado with a Double Back BodyDrop. Owens with a SlingShot DDT to Taichi. Takahashi goes for the cover, but Sabre breaks up the pin attempt. Takahashi plants Taichi with another DDT to pickup the victory.

Fifth Match: Jado & Hirooki Goto vs. David Finlay & Hiroshi Tanahashi 

Tanahashi and Goto engages in a stare off before the bell rings. Jado and Finlay will start things off. Collar and elbow tie up. Jado backs Finlay into the ropes. Jado slaps Finlay in the chest. Jado drives his knee to the gut of Finlay. Jado lands a series of knife edge chops. Finlay responds with a boot to the chest of Jado. Finlay starts uppercutting Jado in the corner. Finlay follows that with a running back elbow strike. Jado is drops to the canvas as Finlay was climbing up to the second rope. Goto knocks Tanahashi off the ring apron. Goto sends Tanahashi shoulder first to the steel ring post. Jado rams Finlay’s face across the top rope. Jado lands a clubbing forearm to the back of Finlay. Jado tags in Goto. Jado and Goto connects with a clothesline. Goto repeatedly stomps on Finlay’s chest. Goto locks in the Single Leg Boston Crab. Finlay crawls to the bottom rope to create separation.

Goto lands a clubbing blow to the back of Finlay. Goto drops Tanahashi with another haymaker. Goto starts slapping Finlay’s chest in the corner. Goto connects with a corner clothesline. Collar and elbow tie up. Kojima applies a side headlock. Kojima goes for a shoulder tackle, but Elgin stands still. Elgin returns the favor which leads us to a stare off in the middle of the ring. Kojima ducks a clothesline from Elgin. Kojima drops Elgin with a shoulder tackle. Kojima kicks Elgin in the back. Kojima follows that with a flurry of strikes across the chest of Elgin. Kojima connects with a neck breaker. Elgin responds with a PowerSlam for a two count. Elgin lands a knife edge chop. Elgin bodyslams Kojima. Elgin with a SlingShot Splash for a two count. Elgin drops Kojima after landing a stiff forearm. Elgin gets Kojima in a fireman’s carry position, but Kojima gets back on his feet. Elgin with a right hand to the jaw of Kojima. Kojima side steps Elgin into the corner. Kojima is lighting up Elgin’s chest with a series of knife edge chops. Kojima follows that with a running forearm strike. Tonga and EVIL engages in a shoving contest before the bell rings. Tonga wants to fight on the outside. We got ourself a pier six brawl. EVIL rakes the eyes of Tonga. Tonga sends EVIL face first to the steel ring post. Tonga goes into a ground and pound attack. Tonga dumps EVIL’s ribs on the steel guard rail. The brawl spills into the crowd. Tonga says the LIJ sucks. Tonga and EVIL continues to fight around the arena. Tonga attacks the referee. Tonga wants EVIL to be continued out. EVIL gets back into the ring at the count of nineteenth. Tonga bodyslams EVIL. Tonga mocks EVIL. Tonga starts slithering around the ring. Tonga HeadButts EVIL. Tonga is mauling EVIL in the corner. Tonga dropkicks EVIL into the turnbuckles. Tonga goes for a Stinger Splash, but EVIL ducks out of the way. EVIL connects with the side walk slam. EVIL clotheslines Tonga over the top rope.

EVIL irish whips Tonga into the steel guard rail. EVIL wraps a chair around Tonga’s neck. EVIL connects with the Conchairto. EVIL rolls Tonga back into the ring. EVIL connects with a vertical suplex for a two count. EVIL goes for the Banshee Muzzle, but Tonga blocks it. EVIL lands a thrust kick across the midsection of Tonga. Tonga plants EVIL with a Alabama Slam for a two count. Tonga goes for the Samoan Drop, but EVIL gets back on his feet. EVIL escapes out of the Guillotine Choke. EVIL blocks a SuperMan Punch from Tonga. EVIL clotheslines Tonga. EVIL plants Tonga with a SitOut PowerBomb for a two count. EVIL goes for a STO, but Tonga blocks it. Eight Match: (2) Minoru Suzuki w/El Desperado vs. (2) Juice Robinson in a Block B MatchUp in the G1 Climax Tournament 

Suzuki attacks Robinson before the bell rings. Suzuki repeatedly kicks Robinson in the chest. Suzuki sends Robinson crashing into the steel guard rail. Robinson returns the favor by sending Suzuki and Desperado into the steel guard rail. Robinson forearms Suzuki on the outside. Robinson rolls Suzuki back into the ring. Robinson drops Suzuki with a running haymaker. Robinson follows that with a senton splash for a two count. Suzuki goes for a Cross Arm Breaker, but Robinson ducks out of the way. Suzuki locks in a Knee Bar in between the ropes. Suzuki and Robinson starts brawling in the crowd. Suzuki hits Robinson in the back with the steel guard rail. Suzuki has Robinson’s leg trapped under the steel guard rail. Suzuki throws a couple chairs at Robinson.

Desperado attacks Robinson behind the referee’s back. Desperado hits Robinson in the back with a led pipe. Robinson gets back into the ring at the count of nineteenth. Like the bully he is, Suzuki tosses Robinson out of the ring. Suzuki wraps Robinson’s leg around the ringside guard rail to apply more pressure to the knee of Robinson. Robinson crawls back into the ring. Suzuki repeatedly kicks Robinson in the chest. Suzuki starts slapping Robinson in the face. Suzuki and Robinson are trading back and forth shots. Robinson lands a series of jabs. Robinson plants Suzuki with a SpineBuster. Robinson connects with the Cannonball.

Robinson follows that with a belly to back suplex for a two count. Robinson goes for a vertical suplex, but Suzuki gets back on his feet. Suzuki locks in a Heel Hook. Suzuki transitions into an Ankle Lock, but Robinson reaches the bottom rope to create separation. Suzuki repeatedly kicks Robinson in the face. After a chop exchange, Robinson clotheslines Suzuki for a two count. Robinson goes for Pulp Friction, but Suzuki counters with the Sleeper Hold.  Robinson immediately escapes. Suzuki connects on his lighting quick offense. Suzuki drops Robinson with a big forearm strike. Suzuki plants Robinson with the PileDriver to pickup the victory. After the match, Suzuki continues to beatdown Robinson. Suzuki then attacks a Young Lion.

Ninth Match: (4) Kenny Omega vs. (2) Toru Yano in a Block B MatchUp in the G1 Climax Tournament 

Yano wants Omega to open up his DVD case. Omega gets blinded by a collection of powder. Yano rolls Omega over for a two count. Omega gets the referee in position for the One Winged Angel. Yano low blows Omega. Yano goes for another cover, but Omega kicks out at the count of two. Yano rips off every turnbuckle pad in the ring. Omega can’t find Yano. Yano kicks Omega in the gut. Omega dives over Yano. Yano counters out of the irish whip. Yano lands a back elbow strike. Yano side steps Omega into the expose steel in the corner. Yano grabs Omega by his hair. Yano kicks Omega in the gut. Both men are grabbing their hair. There’s a literal hair exchange going on in the middle of the ring. Yano connects with an atomic drop. Omega drives Yano into the exposed steel.

Omega goes for the V-Trigger, but Yano rolls himself out of the ring. Yano crawls under the rings and grabs a bucket. Yano hits Omega in the head with the bucket. Yano wraps tape around Omega’s legs. Omega returns the favor. Omega applies a side headlock. Omega drops Yano with a shoulder tackle. Omega with a Double Stomp to the chest of Yano. There’a stale mate in the middle of the ring. Omega plants Yano with a Dragon Suplex. Omega rips off the tape. Omega drops Yano with the V-Trigger for a two count. Yano rolls Omega over for a two count. Omega lands sliding V-Trigger that sends Yano crashing to the outside. Yano has his legs trapped on the bottom rope. Omega kicks Yano out of the ring. Yano gets counted out.

Tenth Match: (2) Sanada vs. (4) Kazuchika Okada w/Gedo in a Block B MatchUp in the G1 Climax Tournament 

Sanada with a waist-lock go behind. Okada responds with an arm-bar. Sanada reverses the hold. More chain grappling between both men. Sanada backs Okada into the ropes. Okada pats Sanada on the chest. Okada applies a side headlock. Okada drops Sanada with a shoulder tackle. Sanada leapfrogs over Okada. Okada goes the Rain Maker, but Sanada ducks out of the way. Okada connects with a Big Boot. Sanada side steps Okada into the turnbuckles. Sanada lands a Big Boot in the corner. Sanada dives over Okada. Looks like Sanada tweaked his knee. Sanada attacks Okada from behind. Sanada drops Okada with a SlingShot CrossBody Block to the outside. Sanada sends Okada to the steel guard rail. Sanada rolls Okada back into the ring. Sanada starts choking Okada with his t-shirt. Sanada lands a running back elbow strike in the corner. Sanada connects with a snap vertical suplex. Sanada applies a rear chin lock.

Sanada clotheslines Okada for a two count. Sanada goes back into the rear chin lock. Okada gets back to the vertical base. Sanada backs Okada into the turnbuckles. Sanada goes for the Basement Dropkick, but Okada ducks out of the way. Sanada connects with the Hurricanrana. Sanada gets Okada back into the Paradise Lock. Sanada follows that with the Basement Dropkick for a two count. Okada applies a side head lock. Sanada rakes the eyes of Okada. Okada responds with a FlapJack. Okada and Sanada are trading back and forth shots. Okada plants Sanada with a Reverse NeckBreaker. Okada connects with a Flying Elbow Drop. Okada goes for the Rain Maker, but Sanada blocks it. Sanada gets Okada trapped in Skull In, but Okada reaches towards the ropes to create separation. Okada goes for a dropkick, but Sanada holds onto the ropes. Okada uppercuts Sanada. Sanada leapfrogs over Okada. Sanada dropkicks Okada. Sanada plants Okada with the TKO for a two count. Sanada goes for a MoonSault, but Okada ducks out of the way. Sanada locks in Skull In from the top turnbuckle. Okada plants Sanada with the TombStone. Okada follows that with two consecutive dropkicks. Sanada connects with the TombStone. Sanada gets Okada back into Skull In. Okada places his boot on the bottom rope to create separation. Sanada power slams Okada. Sanada connects with a MoonSault. Sanada goes back to Skull In, but Okada escapes and connects with the Rain Maker. Okada follows that with another Rain Maker. After a quick exchange in the middle of the ring, Okada lands a german suplex. Okada drops Sanada with the Rain Maker to pickup the victory.
