From Undesirable To Undeniable With Special Guest: Jimmy Havoc

Cody Rhodes: My guest is Jimmy Havoc. One of the first people that AEW recruited and signed and it was on one of the very first episodes of “On The Road To”. Jimmy has an incredible story. At what point in your life or in your career have you felt undesirable?

Jimmy Havoc: I mean if you look at my Twitter feed, it says pretty up to this point. I think divisive is a kind word to say for me. There are a lot of days that I do feel undesirable. Part of me wants to do better for people to like me and part of me wants to carry on doing exactly what i’m doing. I’ve got where I am by being myself, so fuck you. This has been from my entire life to be fair. I don’t go too deep, but dad leave me when I was three years old and that’s sort of set off that train reaction. I never felt quite good enough.

Cody Rhodes: I like how you said divisive because there’s this real beauty in proving people right, people do like you and there’s the age-old beauty in proving people wrong you know. The greatest revenge is to test.

Jimmy Havoc: I’ve always been told because the way I looked and wrestled, I’m never going to make it anywhere. I’m never gonna get signed. Now I am signed!

Cody Rhodes: So we were doing our interview for undesirable not deniable and we got busted by the music. We didn’t want them to stop because that would be rude. What did Jimmy Havoc do to get over that feeling of  being undesirable?

Jimmy Havoc: I started to wrestle the way I wanted to wrestle. I started doing loads of promos. I’ve got a degree in film and I love horror movies. I’ll start analyzing the horror movies promos and stuff and that helped a lot to get me as a character over.

Cody Rhodes: What’s your definition of undeniable?

Jimmy Havoc: I mean the fact that i’m here now, undeniably you know, so I’m good enough. It’s undeniable that I’m here.
