AJ Styles, Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon In-Ring Segment:
Welcome to Smackdown Live, the House that AJ Styles built. Styles showed the world that he’s the workhorse of WWE. Tonight, he is reinstating the US Title Open Challenge and it starts, right now. Kevin Owens immediately comes out to interrupt Styles. What happened on Sunday, history repeated itself and a McMahon screwed a legendary Canadian out of a title. Styles can’t take any credit for the victory because Owens was screwed over. Shane McMahon joins the conversation. Shane reminded Owens that he would called the match right down the middle.
AJ Styles just won fair and square. Fair and Square? We’re talking about a man who survived a helicopter crash, jumped off Hell in a Cell, but he can’t get into position after getting grazed by a 450 splash? Shane McMahon is the reason why AJ Styles is the United States Champion. Shane and Owens are arguing about footage that’s on the titantron.
Shane saw Styles foot placed on the bottom rope, so his decision is final. Styles wants Owens to shut up. AJ Styles doesn’t like the truth. Styles calls Owens a whiny ass bitch If Owens wants a match tonight, he will give it to him. Shane makes the match official. That’s not enough. Owens got screwed by an official referee a few weeks ago and on Sunday. Owens wants to pick his own referee. This will be Kevin Owens last shot at the US Title.

– Kevin Owens is talking to Sami Zayn in the backstage area. They’ve been fighting each other for 15 years. Owens needs someone he can trust to be the referee and Zayn is the only one who fits that label. Zayn watched Owens DVD and it brought back a lot of history. There are times when they forgot what they were fighting about. Since Zayn came to SmackDown Live, he hasn’t done much. Tonight, Zayn can do something that counts. Zayn should think about it.
