Stone informed Waller that Mason Rook is going to be out of action for the foreseeable future. However, Waller will still be defending his WWE NXT Championship tonight in an Open Challenge. Anybody from the NXT Roster can accept this challenge.

– We see Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno chatting up with The Wagner Brothers in the backstage area. Moreno says that Dar is getting ahead of himself talking about the Finals of the Dusty Cup. They got their Lucha practice against Los Americanos last week. Fraxiom joins the conversation. Nathan Frazer points out that he was the one who convinced Dar to start tagging with Moreno. Frazer says that, after they get past DarkState tonight, they’re going straight through Dar and Moreno the same way they did in their last match. Axiom says that it would be a pleasure to face The Wagner Brothers in the finals of The Dusty Cup. The Vanity Project joins the conversation. They’re the number one seed because, duh, they’re the NXT Tag Team Champions. Jackson Drake says Vanity Project are going to face The Wagner Brothers in the finals, Champions versus Champions, if they’re somehow able to last that long in this tournament. Wagner Brothers calls VP a bunch of pendejos after they walked away.

Myles Borne Promo 

Everything I said two weeks ago, right here to Tavion, I meant it. I mean, I had no master plan to stick it to T. But when I apologized, it clicked. Damn it, I was back to being the man that I didn’t want to be, because one half Myles, one half Tavion. But this whole time, I just wanted to be Myles Borne. I was never going to be played for a sucker by Tavion, honestly, it was never going to happen, but I was setting myself up in the position for that. You see, that moment, I thought I could have everything, but then I lost my titles, and I can only think about one man, Ethan Page. He tried to warn me. He told me I needed to have this killer instinct. And he was right about the business, there could only be one face of the brand. Two people can’t be at the top together. They’re could only be one man, one boss, and that’s where I deserve to be. So, I realized that I was doing myself a disservice by just standing still.

So, I had to make a career defining decision, I could either continue to be just one half or I could be the star that I always knew I was. So, the decision was clear, I wrapped that steel around Tavion’s ankle and I stomped it, the same way I did to Ethan Page. And it felt right, better yet, in that moment, I felt like I wasn’t just creating this new version of me that didn’t already exist, no, no, no, I was being the real version of Myles Borne. But what do I get in exchange? You all try to make me feel guilty. But let’s call it for what it really is. You see, the only reason you all liked me is because you felt sorry for me. Aww, I’ll support the deaf kid, I’ll buy his t-shirt. You come to my meet and greet, and you would look me in the eye, and you tell me that I was such a huge inspiration, but really, I was just another way for you to feel better about yourself. I just want another way for you to fill your social justice warrior cup; the same way I was the way for Tavion to become a champion. Because without me, Tavion never wins the one championship he’s ever gotten in this company.

But without Tavion, I would still be standing here as your North American Champion. So, don’t feel sorry for me, I don’t. As a matter of fact, I feel sorry for all of you. You see, I’m the deaf one, and yet I’m the one in the ring and you all are watching me. And yet you were all so surprised when I became the double champion, but it was no shock to me. You see, these shoulders, they were meant to carry that type of weight. You see, I’m not just beating the odds anymore, I’ve flipped them over in my favor. I’m not the underdog, I’m the favorite. So, go ahead, crack your jokes, make fun of the way I talk, say that you can’t understand me, but turn on the closed captioning and read what I have to say or I’ll just show you something you could understand. I’m done being the bigger person. I’m done treating people the way I want to be treated, because it has gotten me nowhere, except surrounded by a bunch of hypocrites. Nah, I’m gonna be the real version of Myles Borne that never breaks. I don’t have to sit here and listen to any of you anymore. But luckily, I know you’re not deaf, so you can hear me real good when I say this. Go to hell.

– We see Robert Stone talking to Lizzy Rain in his office. Lizzy is making her pitch to be Kelani Jordan’s next challenger. Stone says that he’s been distracted all day with the Mason Rook news. He’ll be addressing the future of the NXT Women’s Championship later on tonight. Mini Vikingo and Chazz Hall joins the conversation. Stone mentioned that Vikingo and Hall are teaming together for the first time, because they wanted representation from AAA and EVOLVE. Hall says that Vikingo steals the show on every show he competes in, including this past weekend’s WWE Worlds Collide.

– Emily Agard had a backstage interview with Grayson Waller. How is preparing for this Open Challenge? Grayson says that Mason Rook was rightfully the number one contender, but wanting the NXT Title, and doing something about it are two separate things. He saw quit in Mason’s eyes last week, but lucky for him, he won’t have to quit tonight, because the doctors did it for him. Two months ago, Grayson Waller came back to NXT for a reason, and he meant every single word he said about the soft NXT Male Roster. However, he may have lit a fire, he’s starting to see some hunger in these boys, but he guarantees that there’s no man on this roster that’s hungry enough to take this title away from me. Tonight is their chance, they all say they want to be NXT Champion, well, do something about it. Whoever is the first to step up and get in the ring with Grayson Waller gets The Grayson Waller Rub, because at the end of the day, that’s what everyone wants. Stay Real.

Before I answer this open challenge tonight, I’ve got a few things I’ve got get off my chest. I wouldn’t say that Dion lit a fire under me, but that fire has been burning forever. You see, where I come from, I was always taught to never tolerate disrespect. So, Dion, I want you to understand and realize and appreciate the fact you that you got two in me, because by the third, you were picking your jaw up from the floor. But the very next day, I got to go home and drop my little girl off at school. And she ran into that school building, I couldn’t help but smile, because in that moment I realized that I was blessed this life, to know that my daughter never has to worry about going through anything close to what I went through. Getting in school in itself was always a chess game of trying to maneuver through the different gang territories. Hell, on top of that, I didn’t even get to be a kid, because I had to help my teenage mother raise four other siblings.

And yes, Dion, my mother was a drug dealer, but not one day went by that she was ever proud of what she was doing. My mother did what she had to do to make sure that we had a roof over our head, food on our table, and clothes on our back. And I’ll tell you this, I am damn proud of that woman, because never a day was she ever addicted. She never spent a day in jail. That woman has survived things that are unimaginable. But I’m proud of her today, because today she’s the greatest version of herself. And then comes my father. My father had to walk into a Doctor’s Office at 12 years old and have him tell him that, by the time he’s 25, he’s going to be completely blind. 17 years old, I was born. Not one day did he complain. Yeah, he drowned himself in his demons, but on top of all that, he struggled with the most with the fact that he felt like he couldn’t be the father that he wanted to be to me.

But I’m thankful that before he left me, I got to tell him that his presence was the greatest present he ever gave me. And little did I know that years later, I was going to have my own struggles. Little did I know that years later, I was going to have to sit my little girl down and explain to her that her father was a drug addict, alcoholic. But then I checked myself into rehab. And when I came out, I began to climb. These tears are because I’m proud of myself every damn day that I get to live and show my daughter a true living breathing example of using the bottom to climb to the top. Now, Dion, I want you to understand something. My past is my superpower. My past is that flame. You want to start this? I’m the finisher.

– Coming out of the commercial break, Zaria runs into Izzi Dame in the Women’s Locker Room. Izzi says congratulations, champ, then walks away. Zaria has everybody in the locker room staring at her. She has no idea what’s going on. Izzi decorated Zaria’s locker with pictures, and the dress Zaria wore from her high school musical theatre days.

Kelani Jordan, Robert Stone, Reina Volcan Segment 

Kelani Jordan: One of the things I love about being NXT Women’s Champion is that I’m no longer an afterthought. I am the goal of every woman in that locker room. Step in the ring with The Standout and try to take this Women’s Title. I dare you to, but you won’t. Because as I look towards Halloween Havoc, and trying to figure out who my next opponent’s going to be, it’s actually pretty interesting. I mean, last week, Zaria dropped the ball. Kendal’s injured, and no one know when she’s coming back. Wren’s suspended, and as far as I’m concerned, Catalina may be the Reina De Reinas Champion, but she has a long, long, long way to go to be in the same league as Kelani Jordan. And now that I think about it, guys, I’m just that good. Because in a short amount of time, I’ve managed to clear out almost every single contender.

And I’m not going to be a champion that just hands out title matches. I’m not going to be a champion that does Open Challenges, like Grayson Waller’s doing tonight. No, because no one ever handed me anything. Last time I checked, I’m the Standout, not the handout. Wanting something and earning something are two completely different things. And I earned this championship, so I’m not going to put any more pressure on myself. No. So, when a true challenger presents herself, then and only then will I put this title on the line. She’s suspended. Anyways, it doesn’t matter who’s up next, because the results going to remain the same. Doesn’t matter if it’s at Halloween Havoc or in two months, two years. No one is going to do it like Lani.

Robert Stone: Hey, Kelani, Kelani, please.

Kelani Jordan: Guys, guys, I literally can’t even make this up. Not even the GM can help himself than to interrupt my moment.

Robert Stone: Look, relax, please. You are right about something. You are not going to choose your next opponent. And neither am I. The NXT Women’s Division is going to choose your next opponent, because next week, there’s going to be a 20-Woman Battle Royal, and the winner gets a shot at your NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc. But hey, the battle royal isn’t just going to have NXT Superstars. There’s going to be superstars from Raw, SmackDown, AAA, EVOLVE and even TNA Wrestling. So, hey, you wanted someone to step up? Next week.

Reina Volcan attacks Kelani Jordan from behind. Volcan drops Jordan with an Inside Out Lariat. Volcan with an Elbow Drop. Volcan says that she’s a force of nature, and she’s entering the battle royal to close this segment.

– Coming out of the commercial break, NARAKU is talking to Robert Stone in the back. Naraku says that he’s going to accept Grayson Waller’s Open Challenge and win the NXT Championship. Stone says that Naraku has a distinct opportunity to do so. Saquon Shugars joins the conversation. Saquon says that he’s up next and that title is coming home with him. Stone informs Saquon that his match with Tristan Angels will now be taking place in two weeks. Two weeks, that’s not how you treat your future NXT Champion? Stone didn’t like Saquon having his arm on his shoulder. Next week is a packed show with The Dusty Cup and The 20-Woman Battle Royal, there’s just not enough room to fit that match in. Also, next week, Naraku will be fighting Shiloh Hill. Saquon can’t quite figure out Naraku, he’s like evil, spitting rainbows into people’s faces. Saquon says that Shiloh will be ready for whatever Naraku is cooking to spit in his face. Naraku says we’ll see about that and starts laughing.

Third Match: Fraxiom vs. DarkState In A First Round Match In The 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 

Axiom and Osiris Griffin will start things off. Axiom with clubbing hamstring kicks. Axiom sticks and moves. Axiom with a flurry of double boots out of the corner. Kendal Grey Therapy Session #2 

Therapist: So, Kendal, we left off with you thinking about who you are if you’re not competing. Tell me, what have you been doing during recovery? What’s your life look like outside the ring?

Kendal Grey: What life? I mean, this is my life. I watch it 24/7. I rewatch my matches. I study every mistake. I train. I mean, well, at least I used to.

Therapist: Okay, but what about any hobbies?

Kendal Grey: I’ve tried a couple. I tried playing the guitar, but I broke the string like three times and nearly threw it out the window. I’ve also tried to paint, but that only lasted like 10 minutes until I got bored. Oh, and I tried Duolingo to learn Spanish. Nope, I don’t really know how to speak Spanish anyway. So, I think you understand why I only focus on wrestling.

Therapist: Okay, what about friendships or relationships?

Kendal Grey: I mean, the PC is a little bit crazy. They do say it’s the, you know, like Love Island, but that’s just not where my mind’s at. I mean, ever since I was a young kid, I always told myself in order to achieve abnormal goals, I can’t really live a normal life. And, you know, I always sacrificed those types of things or hanging out with friends. And that’s what I’m doing now. I’m just focusing on getting back in the ring.

Therapist: Look, that work ethic, it’s commendable, it really is. But is that lack of balance what makes you so good or is it also maybe the thing that might be breaking you?

Kendal Grey: I mean, I never really thought about it like that. My whole life, the answer was to work harder. If I wasn’t good enough, train harder. If I lost, train harder. And if I was hurt, I mean, just keep going. And that’s what I’m doing. I mean, it’s kind of scary, because I don’t know how to stop. I mean, my whole life I’ve been trying to prove that I can handle more. I can do more.

Therapist: Right. But then what happens when you put in all this work, but working harder isn’t enough?

Kendal Grey: That’s a good question.

– We see Izzi Dame talking to Robert Stone in his office. Izzi continues to poke fun at Zaria’s theatre background. Stone informs Izzi that she’ll be competing in the 20-Woman Battle Royal next week. Izzi is not surprised, Kelani Jordan needs the competition after all. Stone mentions that Zaria will be in the Battle Royal as well and wishes Izzi good luck.
