Tommaso Ciampa & Bron Breakker Segment
Tommaso Ciampa: Listen guys, I’ve got a little I need to get off my chest today. Because as everybody here knows, as an NXT Champion, you are the hunted. Everybody has their eyes on you and that title that you hold above your head. But as NXT Champion, I’m a little different than every man who’s held this title before me. Because, Tommaso Ciampa, he does the hunting. Now, last week, Bron Breakker, you were the hunted. I realize you want to come out here and get some sort of revenge. Your music’s going to come on any second and you’re going to come out and interrupt me. What I’m telling you is, you don’t need to interrupt me. No, no, no, as a man, I want you to come out here because this is something I want to say, face to face. No, no, no, no. You don’t need a microphone. Don’t give him a microphone. I already know what you’re thinking, Bron. Everybody here, we already know what’s going on in your head. I know what you’re going to say.
At War Games, you made a statement, right? I mean, hell, at WarGames, you speared me through a table sitting in that very corner, shattered it to pieces. Then you pressed the champ way up over your head. You spike drove me down to the canvas, pinned my shoulders to the mat. One, two, three. You don’t just want another shot at any NXT Title. No, no, no, no, Bron. You earned another shot at this NXT Title. And you didn’t just earn it on any show. No, you earned it on the big stage. I’m thinking January 4th, New Year’s EVIL, Bron Breakker vs. Tommaso Ciampa part two for the NXT Title. That’s what you’re thinking. I agree with you. You deserve this. Let’s just hope you don’t drown again like you did the first time. I want you to remember that in two weeks at New Year’s EVIL, you’re going to get your second opportunity. Some don’t even get one chance and here you are, Bron, you’re getting two chances. Aren’t you special? Because he earned it. That’s why. And he knows he earned it. But I want you to remember something, Bron. I want you to remember what I told you about jumping in the deep end.
Because at Halloween Havoc, I exposed you for your inexperience. And I’m not just talking about your inexperience in the ring. I’m talking about your inexperience in life, Bron. Because there is no replacement for experience. There’s no replacement for time. You’ve got all the tools. I know it. These people know it. Everybody at home, they see it. You’re super intense. Your strength is for days. But the thing is, you’re not ready to be champion in my NXT. I’m talking about guys like Sami Zayn, KO, Nakamura, Finn Balor, guys like Tommaso Ciampa. All guys who spent a decade before ever getting to WWE. That’s 10 to 20 years perfecting our craft. And you, Bron, what do you have? 10 to 20 matches? I mean, you’re doing great Bron, you are. I just don’t know if you’re ready for all of this. I’m talking about the bright lights. I’m talking about the heavyweight title. The weight of the world on your shoulders. The responsibility.
Bron, it’s too much, too soon. Just look at Halloween Havoc, right? One mistake. One slip off the rope and it’s gone. And I’m sure that’s not going to happen again, Bron. I’m sure there’s no way you would let a mistake like that happen again. In your fantasy world, right? Nothing’s better than January 4th, New Year’s EVIL, Bron Breakker walks out as the new NXT Champion. And you know what he’s going to do if he does it? He’s going to take the title home to dad and the family. And they’re going to be so proud. They’re going to put the title up on the mantle. Everybody’s going to be barking and clapping. Oh, my god, little Bronny, we’re so proud of you. You know the best part, Bronny? You did it by yourself. Bronny, he’s a champion. And then reality hits. And you know what that reality is? It’s staring you in the damn face. That reality is Tommaso Ciampa, he’s the greatest NXT Champion of all-time.
Ciampa slaps Breakker in the face. Breakker grabs Ciampa by his throat. Breakker lifts Ciampa up in the air. Breakker puts Ciampa down on the canvas. Breakker gives Ciampa the NXT Championship.
Bron Breakker: New Year’s EVIL, blood is in the water. This shark is going to eat you alive. See you in two weeks, champ.
