Roman Reigns Segment

Roman Reigns: Knoxville, Acknowledge Me! Wiseman, educate these people on how to properly acknowledge me.

Paul Heyman: It will be my pleasure, my Tribal Chief. Ladies and gentlemen, I have acknowledged this man’s greatness since he was just a little boy. And even I am in awe of the greatness that stands before me tonight, because, ladies and gentlemen, your tribal chief takes no sabbath. Your tribal chief ducks no challenger. Your tribal chief defends his title, defends his position as the head of the table, every single day, every single week, every single month, every mega event after every mega event, after every micro moment of everyday. Roman Reigns defends the position of being your Tribal Chief.

And you want to know why? Because The Tribal Chief fears no man, no beast, no demon, but they all fear Roman Reigns. Don’t boo me, you know that is true. Finn Balor fears Roman Reigns. If Finn Balor doesn’t fear Roman Reigns, why does Finn Balor need to tap into his inner demons to challenge The Tribal Chief for the Universal Championship? Brock Lesnar fears Roman Reigns. I have known Brock Lesnar, intimately on a professional basis, even more than his own family for over 20 years. I have never in my life seen fear in the eyes of Brock Lesnar. Not in WWE, not in The Brocktagon, not on the operating table. Last week, in Madison Square Garden, you know what I saw in Brock Lesnar’s eyes?

Seth Rollins Promo

Last week, I had one of the greatest matches of my career, when I defeated the Hall of Famer, Edge, center of this ring at Madison Square Garden. And now, look, we all had a week to process our feelings regarding the end of that match. And if I’m being honest with you guys, what happened to Edge was unfortunate, and it was unsettling, it was scary. Look, what happened to Edge in the end of the match was scary. When my boot came down, right here, across the back of his neck. I heard a pop and I felt a crunch.

Rollins compares the feeling to stomping on a cockroach. And we see a video recap of what happened last week.

Now, I know that’s difficult to watch, it’s difficult for me to watch as well. And I understand why you guys are booing, I really do. But I have a question I’d like to ask you, it’s the same question that I’ve been asking myself all week, it’s very simple. What did you think was going to happen? No, really, what did you think was going to happen? Please, somebody give me an answer. That was one of the greatest wins of my career, and I didn’t even have a moment to enjoy it, because the second I walk backstage, everybody is looking at me out of the corner of their eye, I get on my phone, I go on social media, everybody is calling me a monster saying, why Seth why? My own employer, this company said, what I did was unconscionable, they asked if I went too far. So, let me ask you guys, did I go too far? Oh, really, because you know what I did? I used a legal move, in a legal match, and won it the same way I won matches for the majority of my career.

So, really, did I go too far? No, you know who went too far? Edge. Edge went too far because he’s a family man. He knew the risks, he knew the consequences and he still got in the ring with me. And you know who’s really to blame, honestly? Look to your right, look to the left, look in the mirror, you’re to blame for what happened Edge. Yes, you are to blame, because this entire time, you goaded Edge into goading me. You don’t believe me? You remember when Edge called me, Edge lite, you remember that? What did you do? Yeah, you cheered, don’t be shy now. What about when he dump black gunk on my head, ruined my $3,000 suit, what did you guys do then? You laughed at me. What about when he beat me at SummerSlam, what did you guys do then? Yeah, exactly, you’re starting to get it. I did nothing wrong. I’m not the one to blame. If anyone’s to blame, it’s Edge and it’s every single person in this rotten place and every single person watching at home. Oh, I’m the villain, I’m the monster, I get it.

You guys didn’t like that, you’re really not going to like this, I’m not done with Edge, not by a long shot and I’ll tell you why. You see, this past week on NXT, Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix said that Edge was at home recuperating. So, Edge, if you’re at home recuperating, I’d imagine you are watching right now. And I know what you’re thinking, because I would be thinking the exact same thing. I’m gonna ask you a very important question. Edge, are you physically capable to get back in this ring? More importantly, are you emotionally capable of getting back in this ring, because I saw the look in your eye when they had you on that stretcher, when they were loading you into that ambulance outside the Garden. Did you know what that look was? It was fear. And for one second, god one second, one single solitary second, Edge, I actually felt sorry for you and that feeling has been eating me alive in the back of my brain for the past week and I cannot live with myself feeling sorry for someone like you. I’ve got to move on. I’ve got to move on, Edge. And I can’t do that until I finish you. So this ends up in one or two ways, you stay in your little cabin, I come find you and I beat the life out of you in front of your family or you crawl back into this ring, and we dance, one more time. For my own sanity, I have to finish you. One way or another.

Bianca BelAir’s Homecoming

Kane: Well, that never gets old. Now, as Mayor of Knox County, it is my great pleasure to welcome The EST of WWE, back to her hometown, Bianca BelAir. So, Bianca, how does it feel to be back in Knoxville?

Bianca BelAir: It is amazing. When I tell you, there is no place like home, and I got to give shoutout to all my family and all my friends that came to see me tonight. Thank you. But you know, they say, that everything that happens in your past, it shapes your future. Well, Knoxville made me into the EST.

I mean it was right here, where my daddy, he taught me if somebody starts something with you, that you better finish it. Now, Becky, she did catch me off guard at SummerSlam. But you know what, I’ve been down before, but I’ve always fought, scratched and crawled my way back to the top. So, at Extreme Rules, I’m gonna take back my SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Kane: Okay, so here’s the deal. After you win back your Women’s Championship at Extreme Rules, you’ve got to come back to Knoxville because we are going to have a huge celebration in your honor. But speaking of honors, it is my honor to present with the key to our county.

Bianca BelAir: Thank you so much. From my family, to my high school to my alma matter, The University of Tennessee, I am proud to be Knoxville Made. But you know what? Enough about me, let’s celebrate you, Knoxville. And there’s only one way to do it, and that’s sing our song, Rocky Top, are you ready?

– Becky Lynch comes out to interrupt Knoxville’s Anthem.

Becky Lynch: No, this is awesome. Congratulations. Kane lied to you, you’re not going to be the champion after Extreme Rules. You’re Knoxville’s Champion, you’re not the real champion. Look at this, this is nice, you’re really cute. I’ve never been to a homecoming before. You got key, fortunately I got this championship on lock.

Bianca BelAir: You know what, girl, uh-uh. I mean why are you even here. You’re standing here and you don’t even go here.

Becky Lynch: I know I don’t go here. I didn’t come out to steal your thunder, tho you’ve been getting a lot of attention under my shadow. Look, SummerSlam was my night, Extreme Rules is probably going to be my night. but tonight is your night. I came to show you some respect. I’m being the bigger man here.

Bianca shakes Becky’s hand. Bianca ducks a clothesline from Becky. Bianca goes for The KOD, but Becky lands back on her feet. Becky drops Bianca with The Uranage Slam to close the show.
