Kofi Kingston & MVP Segment

Kofi Kingston: There are certain moments in our lives that occur and they change us for the better or for worse. And I’m not sure how last week has affected me yet. Inside Hell In A Cell, Woods showed the world what kind of a competitor that he is. And it’s time for everybody to start putting some respect on my boy’s name. Hearing my brother, my tag team partner, my best friend Xavier screaming and writhing in pain, locked inside that cell, with Bobby and MVP on the inside, me locked on the outside unable to do anything for him. I will make Bobby Lashley pay when I take everything from him, after I beat him at Money In The Bank and become the new WWE Champion. It’s going to be something.

MVP: I’m sorry, Kofi. I thought I heard you say that you were going to beat The Almighty Bobby Lashley at the Money In The Bank PPV, and become WWE Champion, is that what I heard? That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard you say. And, you know, with the whole booty o’s, unicorns, pancakes, you know, you say some really ridiculous things. What Brock Lesnar did to you will look like child’s play when the All Mighty is done.

Kofi Kingston: I didn’t work hard for the accolades that I had for my success? I didn’t work hard for it. Look, when I was WWE Champion for almost six months, I never took a day off. As a matter of fact, in between shows, I took the title all over the world to show people that anything is possible if they believed in themselves. I took the title to Ghana, to West Africa, to Kumasi where I was born to show little kids that anything is possible if they belied in themselves. And I brought the living proof and I went back to TV the next week and defended my title again because that’s the kind o champion that I was.

You, you got Bobby taking vacations in the middle of a WWE Championship reign. You got him taking days off, you got him distracted, you got him hanging around all these women, you got him taking his eye off the prize, bruh. Bobby might be getting a little soft. And that’s coming from a unicorn horn wearing, pancake tossing, twerking, hip-swiveling dude like myself! And you know what happens when you take your eye off the prize? You lose that prize. And when you lose that prize, somebody else gains that prize. And in three weeks, in Forth Worth, that somebody is going to be me.

MVP: So, let me get this straight, when you went back home to Ghana as the WWE Champion, so that you could bask in the glory of being a national hero, to feed your ego, you were working hard? That’s what you call that? No, let me make something clear to you.  I’ll tell you what, I respect your optimism, I really do. And as I recall last week, your personal court jester Xavier Woods, he was extremely optimistic about beating The Almighty WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in Hell In A Cell. Not only did that not happen, the extent of his injuries were so severe that he couldn’t even make it to work this week. And as I understand it, the odds of him making it to work next week are about as likely as you leaving Money In The Bank, WWE Champion.

Kofi Kingston: Well, you might want to check your numbers and check your odds because, spoiler alert, Xavier Woods will be back here next week, because Xavier Woods has heart, Xavier Woods is a fighter, Xavier Woods has resiliency, unlike you who has been milking this knee injury for the better part of six months. You ought to be ashamed of yourself, bruh.

MVP: Milking? Listen, my knee is hurt, it’s legitimately injured and I’m not cleared for combat. And if I was, I would come in that ring and I would whoop your ass. But, fortunately for you, and unfortunately for me, I’m not cleared. I’m hurt.

Kofi ducks a clothesline from MVP. Kofi nails MVP with The Trouble In Paradise to close the segment.
