Charlotte Flair & Sonya Deville Segment

Sonya Deville: Charlotte, due to your actions, you were suspended indefinitely and given a hundred thousand dollar fine. That being said, I think Adam Pearce’s decision was a little rushed. I don’t think he heard both sides of the story before making the decision. The floor is yours, say what is you need to say.

Charlotte Flair: First of all, thank you Sonya for the opportunity to repent. You know, I spent a week reflecting and I really do understand the error of my ways and I would like to make a sincere apology. First, to WWE Management, to the WWE Universe, but most importantly to the referee, Eddie Orengo for my childish ways. You know, I really don’t understand what happened, instinct just took over. But I’m here tonight to take the high road and to right the wrongs that I committed. So, Eddie, I’m really sorry for putting my hands on you. I’m so sorry for manhandling you last week.

Eddie Orengo: Charlotte, I accept your apology. I didn’t see Rhea interfere, had I did, you would have won the match.

Sonya Deville: Okay, great. Eddie accepts your apology, Charlotte. You’ve paid your hundred thousand dollar fine, in full. That being said, I am happy to announce that, Charlotte Flair’s suspension has officially been lifted. And tonight, she will return to in-ring action. And, Eddie, you’re gonna be the referee of that match.

Charlotte Flair: Wait, Sonya, there’s one more thing. Eddie just said it was his mistake. So, Eddie, I need you to apologize to me.

Eddie Orengo: Charlotte, I’m sorry.

Charlotte Flair: Good boy.

Bobby Lashley & MVP Segment

Bobby Lashley: Listen, a few weeks ago I did exactly what I said I was gonna do. I walked into WrestleMania and I walked out of WrestleMania, the WWE Champion.

MVP: You did that.

Bobby Lashley: I held this title up high and I commanded respect. And the respect that I received from the live audience that we haven’t seen for over a year was like a dream come true. And it felt better because Drew was at my feet, crumpled up like a dollar bill that had been thrown on the sidewalk that nobody cares about. But now Drew is like this piece of bubblegum that’s stuck on the bottom of my shoe that I can’t get rid of. Because now, at WrestleMania Backlash, I have to defend my title against Drew McIntyre, again, and I will beat Drew McIntyre, again. But this time, there’s a possibility that this a triple threat match?

MVP: See, I’m offended by that. I’m offended by that. And I’d like to know why would the WWE treat their most prestigious, most dominant champion so poorly? Why would they do that? Bobby Lashley is The Chief Hurt Office of The Hurt Business and The Almighty WWE Champion, so any business that the WWE would like to conduct that involves that championship, can’t be conducted without first consulting the chief. And the champ, Bobby Lashley, has been The Almighty WWE Champion for 56 days. And now you’re telling me that his reign could potentially be in jeopardy because of a triple threat match that he wasn’t even consulted about? Look, we’ve seen this play out before. That’s how he lost the United States Championship because somebody beat somebody else. Nobody pinned Bobby. Nobody submitted Bobby. So now here we are. Drew could beat Braun and regain the WWE Championship. Braun could beat Drew and become the WWE Champion. So you’re telling me that potentially, The Almighty WWE Champion could lose his title and not even have a hand in the immediate outcome? That’s disgusting. That’s unacceptable. But most of all, that’s just not fair.

Bobby Lashley: Look, fair or not, both Drew and Braun know that I can beat them in a head to head competition any time. But after tonight’s match, our Backlash match changed into a triple threat match, I’m gonna have to come out there and observe my business interest. Because after chasing this title for 16 years, nobody’s gonna stop me. I will leave Backlash, still the WWE Champion.

MVP: The champ has spoken.
