Roman Reigns: I don’t think it’s a secret, we put a lot of eyes on SmackDown, Paul. So for the new viewer, what don’t you tell them about the men that I beat in the main event on Sunday at WrestleMania for the Universal Championship?

Paul Heyman: Yes sir, it would be an honor. Well, first of all, there’s Edge, a 11 time former World Heavyweight Champion, married to a hall of famer, a hall of famer himself. There’s Daniel Bryan, a 5 time former World Heavyweight Champion, married to a hall of famer, who will yes his way to straight into the hall of fame himself when he retires, which should be soon after you stacked them and pinned them both at WrestleMania. You take all of their accomplishments, my god, the enormity of the accomplishments of both of these men who came up against you. It was tantamount to a handicap match, let alone a triple threat match, in the main event of WrestleMania.

Roman Reigns: And I took a page from your playbook. I Babe Ruth it. I called it. I called my shot. I’m gonna smash them, I’m gonna stack them and I’m gonna pin them, 1-2-3, then they acknowledge me. And let’s be honest, it’s embarrassing. If I was another man, I would never want to be put in that situation, they’ll probably never put me in a triple threat match again because of what I did. Nobody wants to face me. Nobody wants me to do that to them. These are hall of famers, smashed them, stacked them, pinned them, 1-2-3 and then these hall of famers acknowledge me in front of the whole world. And if I’m doing that to men like that, who’s gonna want it next? Nobody, nobody. Don’t nobody want to step to me now. Don’t nobody want to put their reputation on the line for this, it’s not worth it. Can’t nobody stack up to me. Nobody is on my level. So, we fulfilled our obligation, we open my show, SmackDown. Paul, tell them to cut the check, fire up the jet, it’s time to go.

Cesaro walks down to the ring. Reigns refuses to acknowledge Cesaro. Reigns heads to the backstage area.

First Match: Rey Mysterio w/Dominik Mysterio vs. Otis Dozovic w/Chad Gable 

Dozovic with a Body Block. Dozovic punches Mysterio in the back. Dozovic with The Press Slam. Dozovic slings Mysterio out of the ring. Mysterio with clubbing shoulder blocks. Mysterio is throwing haymakers at Dozovic. Mysterio slams Dozovic’s head on the top rope. Dozovic gets Mysterio tied up in the tree of woe. Dozovic with heavy bodyshots. Dozovic repeatedly stomps on Mysterio’s chest. Mysterio side steps Dozovic into the turnbuckles. Mysterio with a Flying Seated Senton.

Mysterio with a running knee strike for a two count. Mysterio kicks Dozovic in the gut. Dozovic reverses out of the irish whip from Mysterio. Mysterio ducks a clothesline from Dozovic. Mysterio goes for a SpringBoard Crossbody Block, but Dozovic counters with The Worlds Strongest Slam. Dozovic goes for The Flying Splash, but Mysterio ducks out of the way. Mysterio dropkicks Dozovic into the middle rope. Mysterio connects with The 619. Dozovic rises back on his feet. Mysterio plants Dozovic with The Rolling Crucifix to pickup the victory.

Winner: Rey Mysterio via Pinfall 

Second Match: Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

Zayn is playing mind games with Owens. Owens is throwing haymakers at Zayn. Owens slams Zayn’s head on the announce table. Owens rolls Zayn back into the ring. Owens unloads two knife edge chops. Owens with heavy bodyshots. Owens repeatedly stomps on Zayn’s chest. Zayn kicks Owens in the gut. Zayn with two haymakers. Zayn with the irish whip. Owens clotheslines Zayn. Owens with a Senton Splash. Zayn avoids The Running Cannonball Strike. Zayn slams Owens head on the top rope. Zayn with a running haymaker. Zayn transitions into a ground and pound attack. Zayn puts his knees on the back of Owens neck. Owens with a blistering chop. Zayn kicks Owens in the gut. Zayn is choking Owens with his boot. The referee admonishes Zayn.

Haymaker Exchange. Zayn decks Owens with a JawBreaker. Zayn with a knife edge chop. Owens reverses out of the irish whip from Zayn. Zayn kicks Owens in the chest. Owens clotheslines Zayn. Owens dumps Zayn ribs first on the top rope. Owens with forearm shivers. Owens puts Zayn on the top turnbuckle. Owens is lighting up Zayn’s chest. Zayn hammers down on the back of Owens neck. Zayn with The Sunset Flip PowerBomb for a two count. Zayn argues with the referee. Zayn has complete control of the match during the commercial break. Owens and Zayn are trading back and forth shots. Zayn dives over Owens. Owens SuperKicks Zayn for a two count. Owens lands The Swanton Bomb for a two count.

Owens goes for The Pop Up PowerBomb, but Zayn exits the ring. Owens throws Zayn into the ringside barricade. Owens rolls Zayn back into the ring. Owens drives his knee into the midsection of Zayn. Owens whips Zayn across the ring. Owens goes for The Pop Up PowerBomb, but Zayn lands back on his feet. Owens denies The Half & Half Suplex. Owens hits The PumpHandle Ushigoroshi for a two count. Zayn is trying to escape the Thunderdome. Owens ducks a clothesline from Zayn. Owens kicks Zayn in the gut. Zayn negates The Stunner. Zayn rake the eyes of Owens. Zayn gets himself intentionally counted-out. After the match, Owens tees off on Zayn. Owens rolls Zayn back into the ring. Owens connects with The Stunner.

Winner: Kevin Owens via Count-Out

Third Match: Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode (c) vs. The Street Profits For The WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship 

Dolph Ziggler and Angelo Dawkins will start things off. Hand fighting display. Dawkins with a waist lock go-behind. Dawkins backs Ziggler into the ropes. The referee calls for a clean break. Ziggler decks Dawkins with a back elbow smash. Ziggler dropkicks Dawkins. Dawkins with a straight right hand. Dawkins tags in Ford. Dawkins whips Ziggler across the ring. Dawkins drops down on the canvas. Ford dropkicks Ziggler for a two count. Following a snap mare takeover, Ford with a low dropkick for a one count. Ford applies an arm-bar. Ford tags in Dawkins. Street Profits works on the left wrist of Ziggler. Ford mocks Roode. Ziggler kicks Ford in the gut. Ziggler tags in Roode. Ford reverses out of the irish whip from Ziggler. Collar and Elbow Tie Up. Natalya applies a side headlock. Baszler whips Natalya across the ring. Baszler drops down on the canvas. Natalya ducks a clothesline from Baszler. Natalya applies a waist lock. Baszler with forearm shivers. Baszler kicks the left hamstring of Natalya. Natalya denies The Sharp Knee Strike. Natalya with a double leg takedown. Natalya goes for The Sharpshooter, but Jax pulls Baszler out of the ring. Natalya with a double leg takedown. Natalya applies a front face lock.

Baszler transitions into a hammerlock. Wrist Lock Exchange. Baszler grapples around Natalya. Natalya denies The Cross-Arm-Breaker. Baszler goes for The Elbow Stomp, but Tamina pulls Natalya out of the ring. Natalya slams Baszler’s head on the top rope. Tamina argues with Jax. Cesaro with a waist lock takedown. Cesaro applies a side headlock. Jey whips Cesaro across the ring. Jey drops down on the canvas. Jey goes for a leapfrog, but Cesaro counters with The Tilt-A-Whirl BackBreaker for a one count. Jey heads to the ring apron. Turnbuckle Pad Exchange. Jey attacks the right hand of Cesaro. Cesaro denies The SuperKick. Cesaro kicks Jey off the ring apron. Jey SuperKicks Cesaro in mid-air. Jey has complete control of the match during the commercial break. Jey applies an arm-bar.
