Daniel Bryan Promo

We are so close, we are close to the biggest event of the year, WrestleMania. You see, I’m excited, everybody’s excited. And I’m excited about everything, I’m excited to see the set, I’m excited to smell the smoke of the pyro, I’m excited to feel the human air at Raymond James Stadium. But what I’m excited about most is to finally hear the roar of the WWE Universe in person. You see, don’t get me wrong, I love The Thunderdome. This, this is incredible, who even thought this could be a thing, right? Look at this, it’s amazing, but there is absolutely nothing like wrestling in front of a live audience, there is nothing like wrestling in front of a live audience at WrestleMania, and there is absolutely, positively nothing like winning the Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania. You see, that’s what I can’t wait for, walking down to the ring, with 25,000 people chanting YES in unison, there’s absolutely nothing like it.

And, you know, I’m often associated with the word, YES, but the reality is, most of my career has revolved around constantly being told, NO! Is Daniel Bryan big enough? No. Does Daniel Bryan belong in the WWE? No. Is Daniel Bryan a Superstar? No. Is Daniel Bryan best for business? No. Can Daniel Bryan be the face of the WWE? No. Does Daniel Bryan deserve to be in the main event of WrestleMania? If you ask Batista, if you ask Randy Orton, if you ask this year, if you ask Edge, if you ask Roman Reigns, they will tell you, no. But if you ask me, you’re damn right, I do. You see, because I’m lucky, I’m lucky because every time people told me no, my parents and my mentors, they told me to ignore the negativity, look deep inside myself and find the truth. And that is how I came to say, YES! YES! YES! Because every time life told me no, I said yes. Will Daniel Bryan ever be able to wrestle again? The doctors said no, I said yes. When I came back, will Daniel Bryan ever be world champion again, people said no, I said yes. At Fastlane, will Daniel Bryan be able to tap out The Untapoutable, Roman Reigns, Roman Reigns said no, I said yes. And can Daniel Bryan main event WrestleMania, one more time, at first, Adam Pearce said no and then Adam Pearce said yes.

You see, this Sunday at WrestleMania, this is by far the biggest match of my career. A triple threat match for the Universal Championship. On one side, you got Edge, furious because he thinks I’ve stolen a spotlight that belongs solely on him. On the other side, you have Roman Reigns, enraged because for the first time in his career, I made him tap out and if I make him tap out again, not only is he no longer Universal Championship, he’s not the head of the table, he’s not the tribal chief, he’s not anything he thinks he is. And when people are furious and when people are enraged, they are dangerous. Edge and Roman Reigns are two of the most dangerous men in WWE. But who are they gonna face? Which Daniel Bryan are they gonna face?

It’s not gonna be the Daniel Bryan who was General Manager. It’s not even going to be, family man, Daniel Bryan. This Sunday at WrestleMania,  they’re are getting the best damn Daniel Bryan that they’ve ever seen, the most dangerous Daniel Bryan that they’ve ever seen, the same Daniel Bryan that tapped out the Untapoutable Roman Reigns, the same Daniel Bryan that will kick Edge’s head in, despite his neck, this is the Daniel Bryan with fire in his eyes and fire is in his heart. And I am willing to do anything, which leads me to one last question. Can Daniel Bryan walk out of the main event of WrestleMania as Universal Champion? YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!

Edge Promo

I went to WrestleMania XI, Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior, on that night, I knew what I needed to do with the rest of my life. And when I dream things, I have to manifest them, that’s the way things work in my world, and some of you may relate, but a lot of you won’t because common sense isn’t very common. And I did, I became a WWE Superstar, a superstar who accomplished everything, everything, but ending my career on my terms. Now, some of you would also say, well, isn’t that enough? And if you have to ask, isn’t that enough, then you have no idea the mentality it takes to see the heights that I’ve seen, to fight back for your career for nine years. See, I didn’t walk away from this, I had this ripped away from me. I didn’t try to forge another career off the back of this, this is all I’ve wanted to do. And I fought, and I ripped my career right back out of fate’s hands. I didn’t come back for some greatest hits tour, to be a shell of my former myself, I came back to steal the show, to main event WrestleMania. I miss 9 of them, so I won’t apologize for that. So, Daniel Bryan, you come out here saying, this could be your last WrestleMania. Have you heard everyone? This could be Daniel Bryan’s last WrestleMania. A month in your career is like a year in mine, what do you think it is for me?

See, you use sympathy as a factor to weasel your way into this match. Before that, you have these ridiculous ideas. Well, why don’t I face the winner of Roman and Edge, I’m assuming right after we face each other, that got shot down, okay, fine. Well, how about I face Edge on the Saturday of WrestleMania, the winner will face Roman on Sunday, well that got shot down, too. But somehow, this has now been made into a triple threat match, which means Daniel Bryan could pin Roman Reigns and I have nothing to do with that, that could happen. So, instead of a one on one match, a clash of titans between two eras, now, we have some indy-bookstore clerk troll sticking his nose into our business. Now, Roman Reigns, you walk around here, man, like everyone owes you something, like you created this. I don’t owe you anything. In fact, you owe me, I mean, let’s run it back. You came to WWE in a three man group, you made entrance through the crowd, you use a Spear as your finisher, so who set that template for you? You’re Samoan Edge, but I will say, you’re good, you always have been, and I see what you’ve become. I came back to swing for the fences, and, Roman, you are the green monster.

Now we had our match ripped away from us, not only that, but the fans had it ripped away from them. And I think some of them are onto Daniel Bryan now, expect for the lemmings who chant yes just like they used to chant what. Somewhere in all of this, the fact that has been lost is that this match takes place 10 years from the day when I was forced to retire. It’s not mentioned, no video packages, no social media platforms, no touching videos with piano music as the bed, no nothing. Anyone else, if that’s Daniel Bryan, that narrative is driven into the ground. And why am I having to remind everyone of this? It’s because since I came back, I have not received the respect that I deserve. I fought back from a torn triceps to enter the Royal Rumble, starting first, outlasting 29 others superstars and punch my ticket to the main event of WrestleMania.

I shouldn’t have to jump through hoops. I have came back from something, no one in the history of sports, let alone sports entertainment has ever came back from year, 9 years, a triple fusion in my neck, you have no idea the pain that I’ve gone through to get this back. You want to call me some kind of part timer? You think I’m gonna come out here and phone it in? I am doing Hurricanrana’s off the top rope, I am competing at a level that no one has ever done from this type of injury, that is a slap to my face and my work ethic. So now, it’s time for me to take and demand the respect that I deserve. You will put respect on my name. In case you’ve forgotten or never knew, I am The Rated R Superstar, you could call it fate, you call it gods will, you could call it whatever the hell you want. I am the next Universal Champion, because I’ve dreamt it and now I will manifest it.
