Daniel Bryan, Edge, Adam Pearce Segment

Daniel Bryan: So, everyone saw the truth, everyone saw the reality, everyone saw something that Roman said would never happened and has never happened before, everybody saw Roman tap out. Now, Roman has never tapped, never in his entire career has Roman Reigns tapped out. And last week, he said, he rather die than to tap out to somebody like me. Well, guess what, good news everybody, Roman Reigns is alive and Roman Reigns tapped out to Daniel Bryan. Now, in a perfect world, what that would mean is that I would be standing in this ring, right now, as the Universal Champion. I would be standing in this ring, right now, knowing that I was heading to the main event of WrestleMania. But neither of those things are true. And why? Because as I was making Roman Reigns tap out, Edge hit me across the back with a steel chair, just like this. Now, Edge over the last couple of weeks, he said, Bryan, you’re not doing this the right way, you’re not going about this the right way.

I should stand by and let everybody have their dream match of Edge versus Roman Reigns. But here’s the thing, I’ve had enough. I’m tired of doing it the right way. I’m tired of standing on the sidelines. I’m tired of letting everybody just have a dream that they didn’t even earned. I earned the Universal Championship Match. I earned winning the Universal Championship on Sunday. I earned being in the main event of WrestleMania. And I get it, I’m willing to earn it all again. So, here’s what I’m asking for. I’m not asking for anybody to give me the championship. I’m not asking for anybody to just give me a spot in the main event of WrestleMania. I’m willing to earn it and here’s how I’m willing to do it. I want a rematch against Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. And I want that rematch, tonight, and I am not leaving this ring until I get what I want.

Adam Pearce: Daniel, look, I could not give you a Universal Championship rematch, tonight.

Daniel Bryan: Oh, you can’t? Did you not see Roman tap out? I could get the truck to show you a replay if you need to see it, because I made Roman tap out on Sunday.

Adam Pearce: That won’t be necessary, I saw it. But, look, unfortunately, as you know, the referee’s decision is final. Roman Reigns is the Universal Champion. And his next championship defense will happen at WrestleMania. And it will be against Edge.

Daniel Bryan: Oh, so the next Universal Championship Match is against Edge. Okay, I got a solution for that one. How about you do, Edge vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, and I immediately face the winner for the Universal Championship?

Adam Pearce: Daniel, you of all people know how unfair it would be to force any man to go through two championship matches, back to back, you would understand that.

Daniel Bryan: Okay, so let me get this straight, it’s completely fine for me to fight for 40 minutes in the Elimination Chamber and then immediately fight for the Universal Championship after that. Yeah, I get it, there’s kind of a double standard here. Is that too hard for Edge and Roman? Is that what you think it is? How about this, WrestleMania is two nights. Night One, Edge vs. Roman Reigns. Night Two, the winner of that match faces Daniel Bryan for the Universal Championship. That’s reasonable.

Edge: You know, for the past month, I’ve sat back and watch you act altruistic, like you’re some kind of knight in shining armor. You want to talk about how this could be your last WrestleMania, every match in here could be my last match. For 10 years, I’ve dreamed of getting this back. The second night of WrestleMania is 10 years to the day that I announced my retirement. This is my dream. This is everything I’ve worked for, and you want to take that away. Oh, but you want to face the winner of the match from Night 1 and pick the bones? Very heroic of you, Daniel. You know what, here’s the thing, I won the Royal Rumble, I came in at Number One, I outlasted everyone in that match, you included. You lost, twice, to Roman Reigns and I won the Royal Rumble. So, here’s the deal, you don’t deserve the match at WrestleMania, you son of a bitch.
