Shane McMahon, Adam Pearce, and AJ Styles Segment

Adam Pearce: Welcome to Monday Night Raw. And please welcome back to the Thunderdome, Shane McMahon.

Shane McMahon: Well, it is great to be back here in the Thunderdome, especially during my favorite time of year, because we’re on the road to WrestleMania. Which crosses a double yellow line as we’re heading straight into the Elimination Chamber. I’m out here tonight with my esteem colleague, Adam Pearce, to make a blockbuster announcement about the main event, if you wouldn’t mind?

Adam Pearce: You’re right, Shane. Huge news, Drew McIntyre will defend the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber.

Shane McMahon: The Elimination Chamber, where six superstars will enter, and then one by one, eliminate each other until there’s one left standing. And that one will emerge the WWE Champion. So, Adam, we obviously have the WWE Champion Drew McIntyre competing, but I’m curious, who else do you have competing, the other five superstars, if you will?

Adam Pearce: More huge news, Shane. All of Drew McIntyre’s opponents will be former WWE Champions. Starting with Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, The Miz, and Sheamus.

Shane McMahon: Adam, I have to say, it’s a pleasure being out here with you, you’re doing an amazing job and this blockbuster card that you just put together, you’re doing an amazing job. Great idea you have. Thank you.

AJ Styles: Adam, before you leave, one second of your time, if you don’t mind? Hey, Shane was right, you’re doing an amazing job. I’m not kidding either, it’s really good, man. This idea that you just came up with, I don’t know if it was yours or someone else’s, but I’m gonna give you the credit. Let me get this straight, I just want to make sure that I’m correct when I say this, Drew McIntyre has to defend the WWE Championship inside Elimination Chamber, right? Genius. I mean, think about it, the chances of Drew McIntyre losing that championship, are pun intended right here, phenomenal.

It’s good, right? And a perfect time, too. It’s the Road to WrestleMania, even perfect timing for me to be a three time WWE Champion. And, listen, don’t take this the wrong way, I don’t want too many people to hear this when I say it, I’ll whisper it in your ear, I always thought of you were a dumbass with your decisions. That’s neither here or there. Hey, listen, Omos and the future WWE Champion are gonna give you a snippet of what’s gonna happen in the Elimination Chamber, tonight. So, if you don’t mind, start stepping, get out of my ring.

Edge, The Miz, and John Morrison Segment

Edge: Last week was a hell of a long week, but an amazing week. And it all started with wining the Royal Rumble, which leaves me with a massive decision to make. Which world champion do I challenge at WrestleMania? Now, that may seem simple on the surface, but if you’re like me, you got to dig deeper. So, that’s why I came to Monday Night Raw last week. I just wanted to get the lay of the land and I also needed to finish my business with Randy Orton, then I went to NXT, then I went to SmackDown. I came face to face with all three champions. And I was this close to making my decision, but then in that few days the entire landscape changed, because now Drew McIntyre has to defend his WWE Championship in the Elimination Chamber against five former WWE Champions.

So, I know a few things, but there’s one thing that I don’t know. So, I know as of now, Roman Reigns is the Universal Champion. I know Finn Balor is the NXT Champion. I know Elimination Chamber is one of the most brutal matches in the history of the WWE. But what I don’t know is, who’s gonna walk out of that chamber as WWE Champion? I say kudos to every man who’s step foot in the chamber, but I like my odds against every single one of them. I got to be a realist at this point in my career. I don’t like Drew’s odds of walking out of the chamber as champion. I like Drew, I respect Drew, but I know firsthand how hard that is to do, so it doesn’t make sense for me to make my decision as to who I’m gonna challenge at WrestleMania. I’m gonna wait for the dust settle from the Elimination Chamber, and then I’ll make my decision.

The Miz: Wow, what a great speech, epic speech, dare I say, it reeked of awesomeness. You have so many decisions to make. But you’ve always been the ultimate opportunist. And I know that you are waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. Me, I’ve always been more of a strategist. So, let’s strategize, shall we? Even if your grand come back leads to you winning a WWE Championship or Universal Championship at WrestleMania, I’ll be there, with this. And I will cash in my Money In The Bank Contract on you, and I will leave WrestleMania as champion. Welcome back.

Edge: Miz, do you know who you’re talking to? I’m the guy who put that money in the bank briefcase on the map. I know a thing or two about the money in the bank. I know that at WrestleMania, as soon as I raise that championship over my head, I need eyes in the back of my head. But in case I forgot, you just reminded me. I’m out here as the master manipulator, keeping three world champions on high alert, and you just told me what you’re gonna do? You need to worry about the chamber.

You definitely need to worry about Damian Priest. Hell, you need to worry about Bad Bunny. See, I’m out here playing high stakes poker, you’re playing old maid. There’s fundamental differences with the way we think, I think at a different level than you. You’re content with being awesome, I’m not, did that 20 years ago. You want to talk about being champion, well, I need to see this story through, I need to be champion, notice the difference? Think about it.
