NXT Prime Target: Kyle O’Reilly

Santos Escobar & Isaiah “Swerve” Scott Segment

Tom Phillips: Swerve, I’ll start with you. We’ve heard you talk about how you have Mr. Escobar’s number, yet despite the opportunities you’ve had to win the Cruiserweight Championship, Santos Escobar still has the title.

Isaiah Scott: You know what, Tom? You’re right. I’ve had opportunities before at the NXT Cruiserweight Title, but I really find it hard to believe that they were fair opportunities, if you know what I mean. Quite frankly, I still believe that I am the better competitor, and i’ve always been the better competitor. I’m still the only man in NXT that has pinned Santos Escobar. I’m the only man in WWE that has pinned Santos Escobar. So, quite frankly, when we step in the ring at TakeOver this Sunday, yeah, i’m gonna come out on top, again.

Tom Phillips: Mr. Escobar, is Isaiah right that in a fair one one one match, he’d come out on top?

Santos Escobar: Is he right?

Isaiah Scott: Yeah, I am.

Santos Escobar: Don’t make me laugh. Swerve, you’re a parasite that I can’t get rid of. It doesn’t matter what I do to you, you continue to linger, and there’s nothing I hate more in life than things that linger. You’re a loose end, and I tie up loose ends. So instead of being a man, you want to complain about what’s fair and what’s not fair? Well, I can promise you this, our match at TakeOver is gonna be fair.

Isaiah Scott: Will it, tho? I have a really hard time believing that, because every time me and you are in the same ring together, and that NXT Cruiserweight Title is on the line, there’s always something going on. Whether it’s Legado Del Fantasma running out by ringside, interfering or you have a manipulated lucha mask underneath the ring hidden and hitting over  the head with it, there’s always something with you, bag of tricks. Why is that? Because I’m better than you, that’s why.

Santos Escobar: All i’m hearing is excuses. The problem is, when it really counts, when it really matters, you can’t deliver.

Isaiah Scott: What you call excuses, Santos, i’m calling reality. The reality is, I have adapted to everything, everything in this business. I’ve adapted to everything in my life, whether it be roadblocks, pitfalls, I’ve overcome them, so I’m ready for whatever you try to throw at me at TakeOver this weekend.

Santos Escobar: Well, i’m glad you’ve taken the time to prepare for this “opportunity.”

Isaiah Scott: You’re damn right, I’m prepared. I’m ready to showcase to the world, what I’m truly capable of. And while i’m doing that, I’m gonna showcase to the world, that our NXT Champion Santos Escobar is a fraud.

Santos Escobar: You see, that’s the difference between me and you, you’ve made all this about yourself. What’s fair, what’s not fair, you’re showcasing, you’re adapting, and that’s where you’ll fail.

Isaiah Scott: No, I won’t.

Santos Escobar: Now look at what I’ve done since winning the Cruiserweight Championship. I have build the entire cruiserweight division in my image. And I’ve infused it with the respect of lucha culture, from which the cruiserweight title was born, a culture for which you have no respect. So, at TakeOver, all of your showcasing won’t be enough. What you call a bag of tricks, I call a century of tradition, and I’m gonna bury you in it.

Isaiah Scott: I wanna see you try.
