Asuka, Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Sasha Banks and The Iconics In-Ring Segment

Bayley: Relax, relax. First of all, you guys should be thanking us for being here and gracing you with our star quality, and so should you, Asuka.

Sasha Banks: That’s right, because, you know, i’m sure most nights would be fitting for the Raw Women’s Champion to open up Monday Night Raw, but tonight is not that night, sweetheart.

Bayley: No, no, no. So, in case anybody has been living under a rock, which is probably a lot of you, last Friday night on SmackDown, we defeated Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross to become the brand new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Sasha Banks: That is right, you are in the presence of the reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley.

Bayley: And, The Boss, The Blueprint, Sasha Banks, a two time women’s tag team champion, WOOO!

Asuka: This is my ring, punks. Shut up, I don’t want to talk. Let’s fight, come on.

Bayley: Shut up out there. We know that, normally, this is your ring, but as the Women’s Tag Team Champions, we are allowed to go to any single brand that we want.

Sasha Banks: So you need to back up, shut up, and get out of our ring.

Charlotte Flair: Asuka, nice to see you. Ladies, look at you, going brand-to-brand-to-brand just like The Queen. I mean, good luck keeping up with my stamina. No, but I understand why you have to come out here and celebrate. I mean, please get your victory lap in, make it quick, because you know what happened last time before someone comes in and swoops those titles off you, remember? WOOO! So ladies, please enjoy the attention, please enjoy the spotlight, but can you make it quick because, Asuka and I have a match, and that’s really what the people want to see. So, hurry along, enjoy the spotlight.

Billie Kay: Oh, Charlotte, you aren’t the sharpest tool in the shed, are you.

Charlotte Flair: The most good looking, tho, that’s for sure.

Billie Kay: The only match everyone wants to see, isn’t happening tonight.

Peyton Royce: No, actually that match is happening this Sunday at Backlash. And, it is a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Match.

Billie Kay: Featuring: The champs, Sasha and Bayley.

Peyton Royce: Who we actually beat for the Women’s Tag Team Titles at last year’s WrestleMania.

Billie Kay: And also, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.

Peyton Royce: But, most importantly, us.

The Iconcis: Making Backlash, ICONIC.

– Asuka has had enough of the talking.

Charlotte Flair: What she said.

Bayley: Woah, Woah, Woah. Wasn’t Charlotte the person, who just a few weeks ago, was trying to drive a wedge between us and ruin our friendship? But look what happened, WOOOO!

Charlotte Flair: I don’t know how to put this nicely, but at least I don’t need a title or two to be relevant. And no matter how many titles you hang around your neck or your waist or or accessories, how do I say this, you two are still going to be garbage.

That comment leads us to a pier six brawl to close the segment.

Seth Rollins & Rey Mysterio Segment

Tom Phillips: Rey, first of all, thank you for joining us. The thought on all of our minds is, of course, your damaged eye. Do you have any further medical update after we spoke last Monday?

Rey Mysterio: I really appreciate your concern, Tom. As for my eye, I saw my doctor this morning, and he still doesn’t want to make any promises, but the prognosis is promising. My eye is definitely heeling, but any further damage to the cornea or an infection, is always high risk. You know, Tom, I still don’t know when I will be medically cleared to compete, but when I do, here’s a warning. Seth, I’m not gonna wait till the end of the match to hit you with The 619. Oh, no. The second that bell rings, there’s a 619, with the name: Monday Night Messiah, written all over it. You’re gonna pay. You’re gonna pay for what you did to me and what you put my family through. I’m gonna kick your ass, Seth.

Seth Rollins: Woah, Woah, Woah! Rey, you don’t understand the power of your words. If you continue to spread these lies about what happened to you, about your sacrifice. Rey, you had the opportunity to walk away, gracefully, after your greatest moment here in WWE. You can walk away a champion, a legend, a hero, but you continue to spread misinformation. Rey, I am a peaceful man. I gave you an opportunity to walk away, a legend. I want to give you one more chance. I want to personally invite, you and your son, Dominic, to come to Raw next week. And I hope, I hope you come in peace, so that I could tell you and show you, face to face, that the sacrifice that you made, was for the greater good of Raw.

Rey Mysterio: Enough, Seth, Enough. You know damn well that the reason is you’re inviting me, is only because i’m not medically cleared. But I will be cleared soon. And when I am, not just you, but the whole world will know about it. Te haré la vida un infierno, cabrón.

Seth Rollins: Rey, you got this all wrong, you got this whole thing backwards. You need to understand what I’m trying to tell you.

The Peep Show With Special Guests: Edge & Randy Orton

Christian: Let’s get right to it. My guest tonight on The Peep Show, ahead of what might be the greatest wrestling match ever, The Rated R Superstar, Edge. You know how excited I was for your return to the ring, after nine long years, after coming back from a career ending injury, and how genuinely happy I was for you at WrestleMania, that big moment at WrestleMania. But I have to be honest with you, right now at this point, I think you’re running on fumes. I got to be honest with you, the greatest wrestling match ever, I don’t even think you could pull that off in your prime. Look, we’re best friends, and we have to be brutally honest with each other here, right? Those are some high lofty expectations. And if you think for one second that you could live up to that, you’re lying to yourself. You’re starting to buckle, and I don’t think you could handle the pressure.

Edge: You know what, why don’t you just pump the brakes right now, okay? Have you ever thought, what it’s like to be in my shoes right now, huh? Have you ever thought what i’m going through emotionally, when I haven’t had a straight up wrestling match, no bells and whistles for nine and a half years? Not only that, now it’s being called the greatest wrestling match ever? Do you know what that feels like? It’s the equivalent of being dropped at the bottom of Mount Everest, saying you got no crew, you got no gear, now climb it. Just do it, go.

So pardon me if this Edge is a little bit different. If this Edge has some self doubt, this isn’t the same Edge that use to look you in the eye, every night to give you confidence, when you were so nervous, you didn’t know if you could go out there before everyone of our tag team matches. Pardon me if this Edge has some self doubt, because he’s about to face a guy in Randy Orton at Backlash, who has been here for those nine and a half years, and is firing on every cylinder. And I don’t even know how many cylinders I still have under the hood.

Christian: Excuses, that’s what i’m hearing right now, excuses. What do you think was gonna happen when you came back, huh? You were just gonna come back and give them a greatest hits, huh? You’re gonna hit a spear, hit a spear there, flash a smile and go home? Did you think that’s what was gonna happen here, huh? What happen to you? Where’s the belief? I know somebody that used to believe in you more than anyone, and that was your mom. She was there for everyone of your big matches, for all of your title wins, she was sitting right there at ringside.

And if you don’t think she’s gonna be sitting there for this one, then you’re wrong, you know she is. So let me put to you like this, Adam, if Edge isn’t gonna show up at Backlash, then step through these ropes, and go home right now. That’s what I was looking for, there’s those eyes. We believe in you. We saw something at WrestleMania. We saw something that you never done before, when you lock in Randy Orton, he never seen it either, when you lock in that submission, you put him down. We have confidence in you. We think you could do this. We think you’re as good now as you ever been, we think you could win, we think you could have the greatest wrestling match, ever.

Randy Orton: Edge, Christian, I am begging you both to please shut the hell up. If I have to listen to both of you spew these words out of your mouth any longer, I am going to be sick to my stomach. We think, we think, we think. All I am hearing right now is what you two think, and not what you two actually know. Edge, you made one guarantee for this match between you and I this Sunday at Backlash, that guarantee Edge was that you were going to try, and I think that is absolutely pathetic. The expectations on this match are astronomical.

What are you going to do when you don’t live up to those expectations, huh? I am going to embarrass you. I am going to humiliate you. I am gonna take every ounce of passion, every ounce of grit away from you, until you, at the end of the day, when it’s all said and done, are a broken man, who is forced to be sent back home, where he belongs with his wife, Beth, and his daughters, his beautiful little girls, Lyric and Ruby. And Edge, all because this Sunday at Backlash, in the greatest wrestling match ever, the redemption of Edge is over.

Edge: No, it’s not.
