The Kevin Owens Show With Special Guest: Asuka, Charlotte Flair, Natalya and Nia Jax

Kevin Owens: Welcome to Monday Night Raw. Welcome to all the NXT Superstars, some of you are undeniably the future of WWE, especially the ones wearing Kevin Owens shirts, it’s great to have you. And more importantly, welcome to The Kevin Owens Show. You’re all so lucky, you know why, because you’re in for a treat tonight. Later on tonight, I will be taking on Angel Garza in a match, aren’t you excited? That’s what I thought. Before that, though, I’m here to discuss tonight’s triple threat match. The winner will be getting a title opportunity at Backlash for the Raw Women’s Championship. And who better to discuss that with than the current Raw Women’s Champion, please welcome my guest, Asuka.

Asuka: Becky! Becky! Becky!

Kevin Owens: Yeah, Becky. You’re still chanting for Becky. Yes, she does deserve it. Because not only, as we all know, she’s not just The MAN, now, she’s also The MOM, the t-shirt is available right now on WWEShop.com, you’re welcome, Becky. Now, Asuka, let’s talk about you. First of all, congratulations on becoming Raw Women’s Champion. Now, before we get your thoughts on the triple threat match that’s happening tonight, I’d like to get your reaction to what happened last week, so we’re gonna look at the screen.

– Asuka is upset that Nia Jax physically harmed her friend, Kairi Sane. Asuka proceeds to get interrupted by Charlotte Flair.

Charlotte Flair: Asuka, I need to get this off my chest, and I want to be honest with you. That Raw Women’s Championship, it should’ve been handed to me. And do I really need to reminder you what happens every time you face me? WrestleMania 34, New Orleans, or SmackDown, you’ve never beaten me. I think you need to manage your expectations.

Kevin Owens: Sorry, there’s no chairs for you to throw out, I figured I would clear the ring because of last week.

Natalya: Don’t worry, Kevin, you have nothing to be concerned about. I’m not here to cause any trouble. I’m actually here to formally apologize, to you and your entire KO Show Crew for the temper tantrum that I had last week, I don’t know why I did what I did. I’ve just been so frustrated as of late.

Charlotte Flair: Nattie, stop. Not even sucking up to Kevin Owens is gonna help you win this match.

Kevin Owens: I don’t think she was sucking up, I mean, it’s a nice gesture.

Charlotte Flair: Oh, Kevin. No, you’re right, that was rude. I’m sorry, I should’ve told Nattie that she was irrelevant.

Nia Jax: Can we stop, please? We all know that I’m gonna be the next Raw Women’s Champion. And you two know  what I’m gonna do to you later on tonight, so you might as well get ready. And Asuka, you should remember what I did to Kairi, because that’s just a fraction of what’s gonna happen to you when I bulldoze over you at Backlash.

Kevin Owens: Asuka, I know those are fighting words, and you already took off your jacket and your title. But please, whatever you do next, don’t hit Nia in the face.

Asuka clocks Nia with The Spinning Back Fist. Natalya starts brawling with Charlotte. Charlotte transitions into a ground and pound attack. Jax exits the ring. Charlotte and Natalya are tearing each other apart on the outside.

Seth Rollins, Buddy Murphy, and Austin Theory Promo

Seth Rollins: Tonight is a night for celebration, because the Monday Night Messiah is here, and I am better than I have ever been. And that’s all thanks to one man, Rey Mysterio. Some weeks back after Money In The Bank, I was in a dark place, but Rey Mysterio presented himself to me in a time of need. He was chosen to be sacrificed, and he fulfill his duty to the greater good, so valiantly. I can’t imagined the pain that Rey went through. His eye pressed against those steel steps, his cornea pushing back into his head, blood vessels popping, I can’t begin to imagine how painful that was for Rey and for his family.

His son, Dominic, who had to sit home and couldn’t be there to support his father, in his finest hour. I don’t know what the future holds for Rey Mysterio, but if that act was his final act as a WWE Superstar, then it was a courageous one, because it allowed us to move forward into the future. Now, let me introduce to you, my newest disciple, Austin Theory. Much like I was discarded by the WWE Universe, Murphy, Theory, they understand what it’s like to be underutilized and under appreciated. But under my guidance, their ceilings are limitless.

Buddy Murphy: See, in my career, I have faced obstacle upon obstacles, and I needed guidance. I needed a mentor,  needed a leader, I needed The Monday Night Messiah, to lead me into the future. And for that, Seth, I thank you.

Austin Theory: When I came to Monday Night Raw, I thought I had friends. But when they abandoned me, The Monday Night Messiah found me. And for that, Seth, I thank you.

Seth Rollins: Gentlemen, gentlemen, you’re both so very welcome. But this is just the beginning of a wonderful night. Because later this evening, we get to show, Rey Mysterio, first hand, the goodness that he has brought to Monday Night Raw, when we make examples out of Humberto Carrillo and Aleister Black, and show them what happens when you stand in the way of The Monday Night Messiah.

The Iconics, Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross Segment

Peyton Royce: Billie, I have to apologize to you. Last week, I cost us an opportunity at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles

Billie Kay: No, Peyton, I’m the one who needs to apologize to you. I just got so caught up in my emotions last week, that I slapped you. And it makes me sick to my stomach that I hurt you, because I don’t want there to be any animosity between us. We have came so far, together.

Peyton Royce: Thank you so much, I appreciate you apologizing. And I agree with you, we grew up, together.

Billie Kay: We signed our WWE contracts, together.

Peyton Royce: Hey, we won the Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania, together. Hell, we never even had an opportunity to defend our titles. We were overlooked.

Billie Kay: Had our opportunities stripped and thrown into the trash.

Peyton Royce: We should still be the Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The Iconics: And over our dead bodies, is some crazy lady, and the office’s favorite blonde gonna hold over their hands, what’s ours.

Alexa Bliss: Oh, the office’s favorite blonde, cute. Ladies, you’ve had every opportunity. Now, you’ve complained, taken cheap shots, and shortcuts to get them. But you’ve had every opportunity in the world, and, honestly, you blew it.

Peyton Royce: No, Nikki, you don’t get to talk, hunny.

Billie Kay: Sweetheart, you just need to stand there and just look grateful.

Nikki Cross: Grateful? You two are telling me to stand here and be grateful? Every step that she has taken with these WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, I have taken the same steps. I left Glasgow, Scotland, with absolutely nothing, with nothing in my pocket. When I got to WWE, and I had nobody, it was okay for you two, you guys always had each other, I had nobody. I had to scratch, and claw, and dig, and scratch for everything.

And then Lexi came along, Lexi actually gave me time, she gave me respect, she was actually there for me while I was a little mascot, little outcast, little misfit you guys could always laugh at and make of fun of that cute little accent. Oh, that’s funny. You know what’s really funny? You always want to talk about your friendship. Me and Lexi’s friendship, we are the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Do you know why? It’s because Lexi actually stops me from flying off the wall, she actually helps me focus, she helps me balance. You know what? I’d like to think that I thought her a little something about friendship. And I can’t name anything more iconic than that.

This segment concludes with The Iconics laying out Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.

The VIP Lounge With Special Guest: Drew McIntyre & Bobby Lashley

MVP: Welcome back to the worlds famous VIP Lounge. And I would like to extend a very special welcome to the Performance Center trainees in attendance tonight, enjoy yourselves, your tab is on me. Now, let’s get down to business. The VIP Lounge, probably not be the only night club open in town much longer, but it will be the only night club that could boast the superstar power of the current WWE Champion, or as I like to call him, the soon to be former WWE Champion. So, please, help me welcome the soon to be former WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre.

Drew McIntyre: Okay, now that we got that bit of business out of the way. MVP, where is he?

MVP: Who?

Drew McIntyre: Who? You know who i’m talking about. Is he under the ring? Is he backstage?

MVP: Oh, is that what all this was about? No, you don’t have to worry about an ambush. I assure you, as I said famously, some time ago, no contract, no contact. Lashley will not be putting the submission on you tonight. The Full Nelson won’t happen tonight or next week or the week after that, we’re gonna save that for Backlash. What I would like for you to do is to remember. Remember the last time I invited you to The VIP Lounge, where I graciously hosted you, and selflessly offered to give you my guidance, to lead you to the top of the WWE Mountain, to navigate the chaos so that you could become WWE Champion? Do you remember that? Yeah, I remember that too. I remember trying to be a friend to you, and you repaid me with a ClayMore Kick to the face.

Drew McIntyre: You can just say, Claymore, it’s clearly a kick.

MVP: No, that’s irrelevant. After finding myself flat on my back, being on the business end of The ClayMore Kick, I had two thoughts. One, Drew McIntyre is defintiely gonna become WWE Champion. And two, when Drew McIntyre loses the WWE Championship, I will personally play a role in that outcome. It took Lashley 13 years, and after 13 years, Lashley has a WWE Championship opportunity because of me.

Drew McIntyre: 13 Years? It took me 19 years to get my first WWE Championship opportunity. And you know what happened? I was in the main event of WrestleMania. And I beat Brock Lesnar, and I beat him in five minutes.

MVP: This is true.

Drew McIntyre: Yeah, I don’t think Lashley is gonna be so lucky. But I do remember the last time I was in The VIP Lounge, it’s all coming back to me now. A few of the things I said that night, actually apply perfectly to yourself and Lashley.

MVP: Oh, refresh my memory.

Drew McIntyre: Here we go. Are you ready? I don’t need anybody thinking for me, I don’t need anybody talking for me, and I sure as hell don’t want someone like you kissing my ass. There’s one thing that Lashley last week that caught my attention, it’s 100% true, the only way he will ever take this title from me, is by prying it from my cold dead hands.

MVP: That could be arranged. Ladies and gentlemen, the future WWE Champion, The All Might, Lashley.

Edge Promo

Randy, a few weeks ago on Raw, you caught me flat footed, tongue tied. I don’t know, maybe I was basking in the glow of WrestleMania still, I don’t know. But it doesn’t happen often, so congratulations. You laid the bait, I bit. And now I find myself doubting my ability, to be fully transparent, can I hang? You know, I was retired for 3,212 days. In that time, you competed in 1,126 matches, I did the research. And now, i’m looking at it, and I realize I have to prove myself to myself. So strangely, Randy, I want to thank you, because you made me contemplate things I hadn’t contemplated or that I had buried very deeply. So the same night, I got home, and I watched the first installment of The Last Ride Documentary Series.

And I watch myself on there, pontificating about when is it time to hang up your boots, I was still retired at this point. And now, here I am. So, Deadman, I get it. Randy, you want to doubt my wrestling ability? I have hung, hold to hold, toe to toe with The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Christian, William Regal, Owen Hart, Mr. Perfect, Davey Boy Smith, the list goes on and on. Randy, every style, I adapted. When it was my job, I pulled people up to my level. I taught guys how to get to the next level, because that was part of my job, and I was damn good at it. I was a five tool workhorse for this company. Now, if you’re paying attention, and I know you are, Randy, you’ll notice that everything I said was in the past tense, because I don’t know if I could do any one of those things anymore. But, at Backlash, I’m gonna dig to the very depths of my soul, to try, it’s all a man can do.
