Tom Phillips: Hi everyone i’m Tom Phillips and welcome to 205 Live here on the WWE Network. Of course we’re in the midst of the ongoing NXT Cruiserweight Championship Tournament to crown an Interim Champion. Of course the reigning champion, Jordan Devlin, not too happy that this is going on. He is stuck at home in Ireland. But as all that is going on, it’s given us time to reflect on how we got to this point with the cruiserweight division. We would not be here, 205 Live would not be here, without the effort of our originals, and that is superstars like the and only, Ariya Daivari.

Ariya Daivari: Hey this is WWE Superstar, Ariya Daivari, and welcome to the matches that made me. Today, we’re going to be talking about influential matches in our careers before we joined the WWE. And if you had to guess who i’m going to talk about, that’s right, The Texas RattleSnake Stone Cold Steve Austin. See when I was growing up, Stone Cold was my favorite WWE Superstar, and he’s had so many iconic matches. The match against The Rock at WrestleMania 17. The two matches that he had against Dude Love at Unforgiven and Over The Edge. But my favorite Stone Cold Steve Austin match has to be the one he had against Bret Hart.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, WrestleMania 13, The Submission Match, The Blood coming down his face, iconic. But my favorite Stone Cold Steve Austin match was against Bret Hart at Survivor Series 1996. It took place before their WrestleMania Match. Now leading into this match, Bret Hart had taken a hiatus from the WWE after WrestleMania 12. So Stone Cold was out there every single monday night talking all this crap, hyping up the fans, getting them ready for what is going to be one of the greatest professional wrestling matches of all time. Given the current opportunities that are being issued out within the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship Tournament, who knows when we could see potentially the cruiserweight title around the waist of Ariya Daivari. Thank you for joining me again here on 205 Live and i’ll see you next week on the WWE Network.
