NXT Superstars Dave Mastiff, Kenny Williams and more pick the favorite matches from their careers and from throughout WWE history.

Andy Shepherd: Hello and welcome to another special episode of NXT UK. Now, we all love to watch the superstars of this brand inside the squared circle. But the question that often gets asked is who do they like to kick back and see compete. Well, tonight we are going to find out as some of the NXT UK’s top stars pick their favorite and most influential matches. And who better to kick things off with than a superstar who influences any situation he’s in. The Proper British Heavyweight, Bomber Dave Mastiff.

Dave Mastiff: The match I have chosen for this compilation is Tiger Mask versus The Dynamite Kid from 1982 In Madison Square Garden. I personally believe that The Dynamite Kid is the most influential professional wrestler of all time. And you’ll see many superstars across our brands still emulating parts of his pioneering style to this very day. In 1982, this would have been the first that many fans in New York or even America have seen this style of matchup. Its aggression, its intensity, and its pioneering style make this a classic. And I could watch this on repeat all day.

Kenny Williams: The biggest opportunity I have had in NXT UK happened in Glasgow, my hometown. And it was in the same venue as my first ever WWE live event. It was the main event for the NXT UK Tag Team Championships. It was perfect. Everything was going as planned until my tag team partner got injured. It was all crumbling down and the bell hadn’t even rung. Lucky for me, there was someone waiting in the wings to have my back, like he’s had my back my whole career. I look back on that night in Glasgow, the atmosphere, performing with my best friend in front of my family on a stage like that, it really makes me realize just how lucky I truly am.

So far tonight we have seen a classic from 1982 between The Dynamite Kid and Tiger Mask and a hero’s welcome for Noam Dar and Kenny Williams as they challenged for The NXT UK Tag Team Titles in Glasgow. Right now, though, it’s time to turn our attention to NXT UK’s Women’s Division. And here’s Ligero to tell us about his pick.

Ligero: My choice comes to you from the NXT UK Women’s Division, a division that from day one has gone from strength to strength. My choice, which is one woman who is on a meteoric rise in staking her claim as the top superstar in NXT UK. The A-Kid: William Regal. Antonio Cesaro. These two men put on an amazing technical wrestling match that ends up just brutal and emotional. I remember Mr. Regal’s promo right before this saying how he could not possibly beat someone like Cesaro in his prime. But he was going to do it anyway. He was going to go in that ring and do it for his honor. So for me, that’s key here. It shows that the only thing that really matters is how much heart we put behind what we do.
