Johnny Gargano, Ricochet, Tommaso Ciampa and Aleister Black In-Ring Segment:
Johnny Gargano wishes everyone a Happy New Year. 2018 was a bit of a roller coaster. Gargano had time during the holidays to reflect on things. Success around here is measured by two things. Wins and championships. It doesn’t matter how hard you try or how good a person you are. Gargano will be better in 2019. He will win and become a champion. He heard what Ciampa had to say a couple weeks ago. Don’t mistake a moment in the cage that meant nothing. It was a one time thing that will never happen again. Gargano calls Ciampa a piece of trash with the championship he wants. There is another championship out there.
As soon as Ciampa spoke this idea into the world of Johnny Gargano versus Ricochet for the North American Championship, Ricochet fired at him. Ricochet wants Gargano to get this smoke. Gargano doesn’t want the smoke, but if he wants the North American Championship, he is going to take it. You might fly around the ring like a superhero. Ricochet comes out to interrupt Gargano. If Gargano really wanted an opportunity at the North American Title, all he had to do was ask. Gargano is going to take Ricochet’s title? Will he do it face to face or after attacking him from behind in a parking lot?
Ricochet heard about Johnny Takeover. When it comes to Takeover, there will be one and only man who remains NXT’s North American Champion. Gargano is looking at him. Tommaso Ciampa makes his way to the stage. Let’s not get off track. Wins and championships. That is what this is all about. Gargano tells Ciampa to shut up because it is about him and Ricochet. Aleister Black appears on the TitanTron. Black hopes that Ciampa is more concerned about him that being more concerned about grooming his little dog of war. Black poses more of a threat than Gargano and in Phoenix, he will make Ciampa fade to black. The lights goes out in the building. Black is standing behind Ciampa. Black and Ciampa starts brawling around the announce table. Gargano SuperKicks Ricochet.
