Johnny Gargnano & Candice LeRae In-Ring Segment:
"I have my life back; I am BACK where I belong!" – @JohnnyGargano #WWENXT pic.twitter.com/WkvlmlDYiD
— WWE (@WWE) April 19, 2018
Going into Takeover, Gargano dreamt of this moment. Now that he has goosebumps, he cannot use words to describe it, but it’s good to be home. Gargano has been defined by two words, Tommaso Ciampa. He was his best friend and he broke his heart. Ciampa costed him the NXT title and stole his career. For the longest time, Gargano couldn’t even say Ciampa’s name. After 37 of the most intense minutes he ever spent inside a professional wrestling ring, he’s standing here proud to say that he has his life back.
Gargano is where he belongs. Johnny Wrestling is back in NXT. The past few months have been the toughest of his career, but seeing the NXT Universe shoving their signs into Ciampa’s face gave him solace. Gargano thanks everyone for having his back. Gargano turns his attention to his wife. These past few months have been tough on both of them, but he wouldn’t have been able to do this without her.
Enough of the mushy crap. He’s back in NXT and Johnny Wrestling and Candice Wrestling have one last piece of unfinished business. Tonight Candice will be handling that because she will be facing Zelina Vega. If Andrade Cien Almas tries to get involved, he will drop him like his name is Tommaso Ciampa. After they move on from Zelina and Almas, there’s one more place to go. We have a new NXT Champion. Aleister Black is looking at his first challenger because he’s Johnny Wrestling and We Are NXT!
