Daniel Bryan, Shelton Benjamin, Chad Gable, Aiden English, Rusev and The New Day In-Ring Segment:

Bryan says that it’s great to be back in Chicago. Last weeks SmackDown Live was quiet a roller coaster. One of the most shocking moments of 2017 came from an unexpected place. We see the video of Dolph Ziggler dropping the US Championship. Ziggler has refused to respond to any Bryan’s text messages.

Due to his actions, Ziggler has voluntarily relinquished the US Title. Everyone in the WWE Universe wishes you the best of luck. Bryan calls Ziggler one of the all time greats, but we do need to move forward. There will be a tournament to crown the new US Champion. The tournament starts right here tonight. Baron Corbin will face Bobby Roode in one of the first round matches.

Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin comes out to interrupt Bryan. Gable wants to know what Bryan is going to do with the Tag Team Situation?  Didn’t Gable and Benjamin had a title opportunity two weeks ago at Clash of Champions? Gable says that’s not fair.  They never got their one on one match against The Usos. Why was New Day and Rusev Day added to the match? Benjamin says that they’re the true SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions.

Rusev Day makes their way to the ring. Why does Rusev Day deserve to face the Usos, they will disclose. They beat the champs two weeks ago.  At Clash of Champions, did they lose?  No. You know what days comes right after Christmas. Gable says that it’s Boxing Day. Rusev calls Gable a fool because its, RUSEV DAY!

The New Day joins the conversation.  All these other teams are wasting Bryan’s time. Let’s take the Kofi Kingston True/False Challenge. Did Chad Gable and Old Jason Jordan get pinned at Clash of Champions?  True. Did the oddly charismatic team of Rusev Day get pinned last week?  True. Who else but the New Day deserve a title shot?

Logic states that it’s the New Day who are the rightful number one contenders for the Smackdown WWE World Tag Team Titles. No one wants to see Bryan spinning his hips. Will Bryan make up his mind or does he have to ask his mommy, Shane McMahon? Everybody has made valid points so there will be a Triple Threat Match with the winners facing The Usos for the Tag Team Titles.
