First Match: Chase Owens vs. Katsuya Kitamura 

Kitamura starts flexing in the corner after the bell rings. Owens rakes the eyes of Kitamura. Kitamura drops Owens with a shoulder tackle. Owens responds with a knife edge chop. Kitamura drives Owens back first to the turnbuckles. Owens kicks Kitamura in the wrist to create separation. Kitamura lands another shoulder tackle. Owens tosses Kitamura out of the ring. Owens connects with the Wrecking Ball Dropkick. Owens bounces Kitamura head on the apron. Owens rolls Kitamura back into the ring. Owens with a forearm shot to the jaw of Kitamura. Owens applies a front face lock. Owens and Kitamura are trading back and forth shots.

Owens dropkicks Kitamura. Owens goes into a ground and pound attack. After the snap mare takeover, Owens applies a rear chin lock. Kitamura counters out of the irish whip and connects with a back body drop. Kitamura lands a leaping back elbow strike in the corner. Kitamura follows that with a Spear. Second Match: El Desperado, Taichi and Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Shota Umino, Tetsuhiro Yagi and Yuji Nagata 

Taichi attacks the referee before the bell rings. Nagata wants Sabre to bring it. Yagi will start things off with Taichi. Yagi fires off a series of running forearms. Yagi goes for a bodyslam, but Taichi blocks it. Taichi bodyslams Yagi. Taichi repeatedly kicks Yagi in the back. Yagi starts slapping the chest of Taichi. Taichi responds with a spinning heel kick. Taichi slaps Yagi in the face. Yagi goes for a dropkick, but Taichi holds onto the ropes. Yagi connects with a leaping basement dropkick. Yagi follows that with a bodyslam. Sabre and Nagata are tagged in.

Sabre is trying to measure up Nagata. After a standing switch exchange, Nagata applies a side headlock. Nagata drops Sabre with a shoulder tackle. Sabre responds with the Sleeper Hold. Nagata locks in the Abdominal Stretch. Sabre reverses the hold. Nagata heads towards the top rope to create separation. Sabre uppercuts Nagata. Sabre and Nagata are trading back and forth shots in the middle of the ring. Nagata lands a series of buzzsaw kicks to the chest of Sabre. Nagata follows that with the Helluva Kick. Nagata goes for a Exploder Suplex, but Sabre counters with the Guillotine Choke. Nagata escapes out of the hold with a Exploder Suplex.

Nagata goes for the Belly to Back Suplex, but Sabre counters with the Octopus Stretch. Desperado tags himself in. Desperado starts stomping on Nagata chest. Nagata drops Sabre with a Big Boot. Nagata follows that with a knee lift to Desperado. Nagata tags Umino. Desperado rakes the eyes of Umino. Umino responds with a running back elbow strike. Umino bodyslams Desperado for a one count. The Young Lions and Nagata are mauling Desperado in the corner. Umino with a back slide cover for a two count. Nagata tosses Sabre out of the ring. Umino locks in the Boston Crab. Third Match: Bad Luck Fale & Yujiro Takahashi vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Tomoyuki Oka 

Fale and Tenzan will start things off. Tenzan goes for a shoulder block, but Fale stands still. Tenzan kicks Fale in the gut. Tenzan repeatedly HeadButts Fale. Tenzan lands a series of Mongolian Chops. Fale drops Tenzan with a shoulder tackle. Takahashi and Oka are tagged in. Oka forearms Takahashi. Oka applies a side headlock. Takahashi bites Oka fingers. Oka responds with a hip toss. Oka stomps on Takahashi’s back. Takahashi side steps Oka into the turnbuckles. After a basement dropkick, Takahashi only gets a two count. Fale and Tenzan are brawling on the outside.

Takahashi repeatedly kicks Oka in the face. Takahashi is stomping on Oka’s chest in the corner. Fale and Takahashi are mauling Oka in the corner. Fale bodyslams Oka. Fale connects with a Seated Senton Drop for a two count. Takahashi lands a snap mare takeover. Takahashi connects with a leg drop for a two count. Fourth Match: Hiromu Takahashi, Bushi and Tetsuya Naito vs. Hirai Kawato, Tiger Mask and Togi Makabe 

Naito spits at Makabe before the bell rings. Naito ducks a clothesline from Makabe. Takahashi and Tiger Mask are tagged in. Takashi kicks Tiger Mask in the gut. Tiger Mask leapfrogs over Takashi. Both men trade back and forth arm-drags. Takahashi with a basement dropkick to the knee of Tiger Mask. Takahashi knocks Kawato and Makabe off the ring apron. Naito sends Makabe crashing into the steel guard rail. Takahashi lands a snap mare takeover. Takahashi applies a rear chin lock. Kawato attacks Takahashi from behind. Naito and Bushi are mauling Kawato in the corner. Bushi sunset flips Kawato into a Basement Dropkick from Naito. Bushi drops Tiger Mask with a Missile Dropkick. Bushi is choking Tiger Mask with his t-shirt. Takahashi tags himself in.

Takahashi lands a knife edge chop. Takahashi connects with a corner clothesline. Takahashi follows that with another basement dropkick for a two count. Tiger Mask starts slapping Takahashi’s chest. Takahashi rakes the eyes of Tiger Mask. Tiger Mask plants Takahashi with a Tilt-A-Whirl Back Breaker. Takahashi tags in Naito. Naito goes for Gloria, but Tiger Mask counters with the Tiger Driver. Kawato ducks a clothesline from Bushi. Kawato dropkicks Bushi. Kawato with a Head Scissors Takeover to Takahashi. Kawato lands another dropkick for a two count. Kawato locks in the Boston Crab. Takahashi breaks up the submission attempt. Takahashi SuperKicks Tiger Mask. Makabe runs through Naito and Takahashi with the Double Clothesline. Kawato lands a running european uppercut in the corner. Bushi responds with a enziguri. Bushi drops Kawato with the CodeBreaker for a two count. Fifth Match: Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto and Yoshi Hashi vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi and David Finlay 

Ishii and Tanahashi will start things off. Collar and elbow tie up. Tanahashi backs Ishii into the ropes. Tanahashi lands a forearm strike across the jaw of Ishii. Tanahashi follows that with a deep arm-drag. Tanahashi drops Ishii with an axe handle strike. Tanahashi starts playing air guitar. Tanahashi and Ishii are trading back and forth forearm shots. Ishii is mauling Tanahashi in the corner. Ishii drops Tanahashi with a shoulder tackle. Ishii slaps Tanahashi in the face. Ishii tags in Hashi. Hashi with a clubbing blow to the back of Tanahashi. Hashi chops Tanahashi in the chest. Tanahashi knocks Ishii off the ring apron. Chaos are triple teaming Tanahashi in the corner.

Ishii repeatedly HeadButts Tanahashi. Goto lands a snap mare takeover. Goto kicks Tanahashi in the back for a two count. Goto applies a rear chin lock. Goto tags in Hashi. Sixth Match: (4) Tama Tonga vs. (4) Toru Yano in a Block B MatchUp in the G1 Climax Tournament 

Tonga chases Yano around the ring before the bell rings. Tonga appears from under the ring and attacks Yano. Tonga is taping Yano’s wrist on the steel guard rail. Tonga wraps tape around Yano’s mouth. Yano gets back into the ring at the count of nineteen. Tonga goes into a ground and pound attack. Yano backs himself into the ropes to create separation.

Tonga starts mocking Yano. Yano rips off a turnbuckle pad. Yano hits Tonga in the face with turnbuckle pad. Tonga goes for the GunStun, but Yano blocks it. Yano teases a low blow attempt. Tonga misses on the Spear. Tonga hits Yano in the gut. Tonga grabs the ring bell hammer. Yano snatches the hammer away from Tonga. Yano low blows Tonga. Yano rolls Tonga over to pickup the victory.

Winner: Toru Yano Gains 2 Points via Pinfall 

Seventh Match: (8) Sanada vs. (0) Satoshi Kojima w/Hiroyoshi Tenzan in a Block B MatchUp in the G1 Climax Tournament 

Collar and elbow tie up. Sanada backs Kojima into the ropes. Sanada applies an arm-bar. Kojima reverses the hold. Kojima with a side headlock takeover to Sanada. Sanada gets back to a vertical base. Clean break in the corner. Kojima drives his knee to the chest of Sanada. Kojima goes for a snap mare takeover, but Sanada lands back on his feet. Kojima blocks a dropkick from Sanada. Kojima goes for a elbow drop, but Sanada ducks out of the way. This leads us to a stand off in the middle of the ring. Kojima goes back to the side headlock. Kojima drops Sanada with a Shoulder Tackle. Kojima and Sanada trades back and forth dragon screw leg whips.

Sanada chop blocks Kojima. Sanada gets Kojima trapped in the Paradise Lock. Sanada connects with a Basement Dropkick for a two count. After a forearm exchange in the corner, Sanada drops Kojima with a big haymaker. Sanada starts lighting up Kojima’s chest in the corner. Kojima side steps Sanada into the turnbuckles. Kojima starts chopping Sanada in the corner. Kojima connects with a running forearm strike. Sanada kicks Kojia in the hamstring. Kojima responds with an atomic drop. Kojima plants Sanada with a DDT. Kojima goes for the Koji Cutter, but Sanada blocks it. Sanada connects with a SpringBoard Basement Dropkick. After a slapping exchange in the corner, Kojima fires off more forearm shots.

Eight Match: (8) Minoru Suzuki w/Taichi and El Desperado vs. (4) Michael Elgin in a Block B MatchUp in the G1 Climax Tournament 

Elgin dodges a big boot from Suzuki. Elgin with a Wrecking Ball Dropkick to Desperado. Elgin drags Suzuki out of the ring. Elgin lands a series of haymakers on the outside. Elgin rolls Suzuki back into the ring. Elgin is distracted by Taichi. Suzuki locks in the Cross Arm Breaker as Elgin was getting back into the ring. Suzuki lets go off the hold at the count of three. Elgin gets Suzuki in the fireman’s carry position, but Suzuki lands back on his feet. Desperado starts slapping Elgin in the chest. Suzuki irish whips Elgin into the steel guard rail. Suzuki drives a folding chair to the elbow of Elgin. Suzuki wraps the chair around Elgin’s shoulder. Suzuki continues to apply more pressure to the shoulder of Elgin.

Taichi and Desperado are beating up Elgin behind the referee’s back. Suzuki fires off more chair shots to the back of Elgin. Suzuki drives Elgin’s shoulder to the steel ring post. Suzuki rolls Elgin back into the ring. Suzuki connects his lightning quick offense. Elgin connects with a PowerSlam. Elgin follows that with a SuperMan Punch. Elgin bodyslams Suzuki. Elgin connects with a SlingShot Splash. Elgin with a corner clothesline to Suzuki. Elgin drops Suzuki with a Discus Forearm Smash for a two count.

Elgin lands a series of short-arm lariats. Suzuki locks in the Fujiwara ArmBar. Taichi and Desperado attacks Elgin from the outside. Suzuki gets Elgin back into the Cross Arm Breaker. Elgin PowerBombs Suzuki. Suzuki locks in the Sleeper Hold. Elgin responds with a Back Body Drop. Suzuki continues to target the shoulder of Elgin. Collar and elbow tie up. Robinson lands a series of deep arm-drags out of the gate. Robinson applies an arm-bar. Omega backs Robinson into the corner. Omega pats Robinson in the chest. Omega then proceeds to slap Robinson in the face. Back to the collar and elbow tie up. Robinson fires off a series of jabs. Omega applies a side headlock. Omega drops Robinson with a shoulder tackle. Robinson leapfrogs over Omega. Robinson monkey flips Omega to the other side of the ring. Robinson clotheslines Omega over the top rope. Robinson dumps Omega’s ribs on the steel guard rail. Robinson rolls Omega back into the ring. Robinson bounces Omega’s head on the top turnbuckle. Robinson connects with a High Crossbody Block for a two count. Robinson applies a side headlock. Robinson drops Omega with a shoulder tackle of his own.

Robinson kicks Omega in the chest. Omega responds with a suplex that sends both men crashing to the outside. Robinson is favoring his injured knee. Robinson gets back into the ring at the count of six. Omega repeatedly drives Robinson’s knee to the steel ring post. Omega locks in the Ring Post Figure Four Leg Lock. After the bell rings, Evil kicks Okada in the gut. Evil applies a side headlock. Evil drops Okada with a shoulder tackle. Evil goes back to the side headlock. Okada reverses the hold. Okada drops Evil with a shoulder tackle. Evil rakes the eyes of Okada. Okada responds with a Big Boot. Okada follows that with a snap mare takeover. Okada connects with a Basement Dropkick. Okada drops Evil with a neck breaker for a two count. Okada applies a straight jacket hold. Okada dumps Evil on the canvas. Evil knocks Okada off the ring apron. Evil launches Okada into the steel guard rail. Evil wraps a folding chair around Okada’s neck. Evil connects with the Conchairto. Okada gets back into the ring at the count of fourteen. Evil is mauling Okada.

Evil connects with a Discus Lariat in the corner. Evil and Okada are fighting for position on the top turnbuckle. Okada connects with a Flying Basement Dropkick. Okada lands a clubbing blow to the back of Evil. Okada goes for the TombStone, but Evil blocks it. Okada ducks a clothesline from Evil. Okada dropkicks Evil in the back of the head. Okada follows that with another dropkick. Okada goes for the Rain Maker, but Evil blocks it. Okada lands a series of uppercuts. Evil responds with a Inside Out Lariat.
