First Match: Shota Umino & Katsuya Kitamura vs. Jushin Thunder Liger & Michael Elgin 

Liger and Umino will start things off. Collar and elbow tie up. Liger backs Umino into the ropes. Umino slaps Liger in the chest. Umino connects with a series of running back elbow strikes. Umino follows that with a dropkick for a one count. Umino kicks Liger in the chest. Liger responds with a clothesline. Liger tags in Elgin. Elgin is showing off his strength in the middle of the ring. Elgin connects with a Fallaway Slam for a two count. Elgin drags Umino to the corner tags in Liger. Liger gets Umino trapped in the SurfBoard Submission Hold.

Liger lands a clubbing blow to the back of Umino. Liger slaps Umino chest in the corner. Umino responds with another dropkick. Elgin and Kitamura are tagged in. Elgin and Kitamura starts running into each other. After a forearm/chop exchange, Kitamura drops Elgin with a shoulder tackle. Kitamura follows that with a Spear. Kitamura attacks Liger who’s standing on the ring apron. Kitamura plants Elgin with a Delayed Vertical Suplex for a two count.

Second Match: El Desperado, Taichi and Minoru Suzuki vs. Hirai Kawato, Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Satoshi Kojima 

Suzuki Gun attacks Kojima and Tenzan before the bell rings. We have ourself a pier six brawl on the outside. Suzuki is choking Kojima with his jacket. Desperado sends Kawato sternum first into the steel guard rail. Taichi is raking the eyes of Tenzan. Taichi lands a series of Mongolian Chops. Taichi is mocking Kojima. Taichi lands a snap mare takeover. Taichi goes for a SuperKick, but Tenzan ducks out of the way. Tenzan is returning the favor to Taichi with more Mongolian Chops. Tenzan connects with the Exploder Suplex. Suzuki and Kojima are tagged. After a slapping exchange, Kojima is lighting up Suzuki’s chest in the corner.

Kojima connects with the running forearm strike in the corner. Suzuki kicks Kojima in the gut. Suzuki and Kojima are trading back and forth forearm shots. Suzuki lands a snap mare takeover. Suzuki connects with the PK for a two count. Suzuki applies a side headlock. Suzuki blocks a lariat from Kojima. Suzuki gets Kojima trapped in the Sleeper Hold. Suzuki goes for the PileDriver, but Kojima counters with a Big Back BodyDrop. Suzuki responds with a knee lift. Suzuki tags in Desperado. Desperado rakes the eyes of Kojima. Kojima tags in Kawato. Kawato lands a series of of forearm strikes to Desperado. Kawato ducks a couple of clotheslines, then proceeds to dropkick Desperado for a two count. Desperado knocks Tenzan off the ring apron. Kawato is trying to fight off Suzuki Gun in the corner. Kawato drops Suzuki with another forearm strike. Kawato dropkicks Taichi. Tenzan starts HeadButting Desperado in the corner. Kawato connects with the sunset flip for a two count. Kawato follows that with a SpringBoard Basement Dropkick for a two count. Kawato gets Desperado trapped in the Boston Crab. Taichi breaks up the submission attempt. Kawato starts forearming Taichi in the corner. Suzuki slaps Kawato in the face. Third Match: Bushi & Sanada vs. David Finlay & Juice Robinson 

Robinson and Sanada will start things off with a collar and elbow tie up. Robinson applies a side headlock. Sanada is grabbing the dreadlocks of Robinson. Robinson kicks Sanada in the gut. Bushi is trying to trip Robinson from the outside. Bushi ducks a clothesline from Robinson. Sanada accidentally knocks Bushi off the ring apron. Robinson fires off with a series of left jabs. Robinson dropkicks Sanada. Robinson tags in Finlay. Robinson and Finlay connects with a Double Hip Toss.

Robinson follows that with a Senton Splash. Finlay drops Sanada with a Sliding European Uppercut for a one count. Finlay knocks Bushi out of the ring. Finlay lands a series of running back elbow strikes in the corner. Bushi drives Finlay crotch first into the steel ring post. Sanada knocks Robinson off the ring apron. Bushi connects with the Missile Dropkick. Bushi is choking Finlay with his t-shirt.

Bushi tags in Sanada. Bushi lands a double knee strike. Bushi and Sanada connects with a Double Basement Dropkick for a two count. Robinson responds with a Double Crossbody Block. Robinson connects with the Body Avalanche to Sanada. Robinson follows that with a Cannonball in the corner. Finlay plants Sanada with a Back Breaker for a two count. Fourth Match: Hiromu Takahashi & EVIL vs. Chase Owens & Kenny Omega 

EVIL and Omega will start things off. Takahashi attacks Omega from behind. EVIL knocks Owens off the ring apron. Omega lands a back elbow strike in the corner. Omega dives over EVIL. Omega connects with a head scissors takeover. Takahashi lands a clubbing axe handle to the back of Omega. Takahashi follows that with a knife edge chop. Owens attacks Takahashi behind the referee’s back. Omega connects with the Kotaro Krusher for a two count. Owens sends EVIL crashing into the steel guard rail. Omega drives Takahashi face first into the boot of Owens. Omega tags in Owens. Omega and Owens connects with a double elbow drop for a two count.

Omega and Owens are cutting the ring in half. Omega drops Takahashi with a SpringBoard Double Axe Handle to the back. Omega repeatedly drives Takahashi back first into the turnbuckles. Takahashi starts slapping Omega in the chest. Omega goes for a Rolling Senton, but Takahashi lands back on his feet. Takahashi blocks a Big Boot from Omega. Takahashi connects with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip. EVIL and Owens are tagged in. Owens drops EVIL with a Reverse Cutter.

EVIL responds with Bulldog/Lariat combination to Owens and Omega for a two count. EVIL goes for a Back Breaker, but Owens lands back on his feet. Owens with a spinning heel kick to the midsection of EVIL. Owens follows that with a enziguri. Owens plants EVIl with a neck breaker for a two count. Takahashi comes and attacks Owens in the corner. Takahashi SuperKicks Owens. EVIL connects with a big lariat for a two count as Omega breaks up the pin attempt. Takahashi tosses Omega out of the ring. Takahashi connects with a Missile Dropkick off the ring apron. EVIL plants Owens with the STO to pickup the victory. After the match, Omega attacks EVIL and Takahashi. Omega is choking EVIL with a bullet club t-shirt. Omega goes for the One Winged Angel, but EVIL counters with the STO.

Fifth Match: Yujiro Takahashi & Tama Tonga vs. Toru Yano & Kazuchika Okada w/Gedo

Takahashi is choking Yano in the corner before the bell rings. Tonga attacks Okada from behind. Tonga puts Okada’s jacket. Tonga starts mocking Okada. Tonga kicks Okada out of the ring. Takahashi puts on Yano’s jacket. Tonga is brawling with Yano on the outside. Tonga bounces Yano’s head on the ring apron. Takahashi hits Okada with the pimp stick. Tonga is choking Yano with a microphone stand. Tonga tags in Takahashi. Takahashi is ramming his boot across the face of Yano. Takahashi goes for a low blow, but the referee gets in the way. Takahashi stomps on Yano’s chest. Takahashi bounces Yano’s head on the top turnbuckle. Takahashi tags in Tonga.

Tonga is mocking Yano. Yano grabs Tonga by his hair. Tonga fires off a series of shots. Yano tags in Okada. Okada knocks Takahashi off the ring apron. Okada ducks a clothesline from Tonga. Okada connects with a leaping back elbow strike. Okada plants Tonga with a DDT. Okada follows that with a european uppercut for a two count. Okada ascends to the top turnbuckle. Tonga connects with the TKO. Okada gets Tonga in position for the Tombstone. Tonga pokes Okada in the eye. Tonga goes for the GunStun, but Okada blocks it. Yano ducks a clothesline from Takahashi. Takahashi starts biting the fingers of Yano. Takahashi drives Yano face first to the canvas. Takahashi plants Yano with a Fisherman’s Brain Buster for a two count. Tonga tosses Okada out of the ring. Tonga is choking Okada on the outside. Takahashi side steps Yano into the exposed steel. Yano shoves the referee into Takahashi. Yano connects with the low blow behind the referee’s back. Yano schoolboys Takahashi over to pickup the victory.

Sixth Match: (6) Bad Luck Fale vs. (2) Yoshi Hashi in a Block A MatchUp in the G1 Climax Tournament 

Hashi dropkicks Fale before the bell rings. Hashi side steps Fale into the turnbuckles. Hashi rolls Fale over for a two count. Hashi fires off a series of forearm strikes. Fale responds with a shoulder tackle. Hashi goes for a shoulder tackle of his own, but Fale stands still. Fale drops Hashi with another shoulder tackle. Fale drags Hashi out of the ring. Fale launches Hashi back first into the steel guard rail. The fight spills into the crowd. Fale sends Hashi crashing into a collection of chairs. Fale is arguing with the referee. Fale is choking Hashi with his boot. Fale bodyslams Hashi. Fale follows that with a seated senton for a two count. Fale repeatedly stomps on Hashi’s back.

Fale goes for the cover, but Hashi kicks at two. Hashi forearms Fale. Fale responds with a clubbing haymaker to the midsection of Hashi. Hashi starts landing a series of knife edge chops. Fale drops Hashi with another haymaker for a two count. Hashi connects with a Basement Dropkick to the knee of Fale. Hashi plants Fale with the Bunker Buster. Hashi is lighting up Fale’s chest in the corner. Hashi follows that with a corner clothesline. Hashi goes for a sunset flip, but Fale stands still. Fale misses on the proceeding elbow drop. Fale uses his power to escape. Fale connects with a Splash for a two count. Fale goes for the Bad Luck Fall, but Hashi counters with a Sleeper Hold. Seventh Match: (6) Zack Sabre Jr. w/El Desperado vs. (6) Togi Makabe in a Block A MatchUp in the G1 Climax Tournament 

Both men are exchanging words before the bell rings. Sabre and Makabe starts shoving each other. After a forearm/uppercut exchange, Makabe drops Sabre with a shoulder tackle. Makabe tosses Sabre out of the ring. Makabe sends Sabre back first into the steel guard rail. Makabe launches El Desperado into the crowd. Sabre connects with a dropkick to the knee of Makabe. Sabre stomps on Makabe’s knee on the outside. Sabre continues to apply more pressure to the knee of Makabe. Sabre places Makabe’s leg on the steel guard rail.

Sabre kicks Makabe in the leg. Sabre finally rolls Makabe back into the ring. Sabre locks in a Modified Scorpion Death Lock. Sabre once again kicks the back of Makabe’s knee. Sabre applies a Single Leg Boston Crab. Sabre transitions into the STF. Makabe crawls to the bottom rope to create separation. Sabre uppercuts Makabe. Makabe responds with a series of forearm smashes. Makabe clotheslines Sabre. Makabe follows that with a corner clothesline. Makabe goes into the Corner Mount. Makabe goes for a Northern Light Suplex, but Sabre counters with a Over Head Kick.

Makabe drops Sabre with another lariat for a two count. Sabre responds with a running european uppercut. Sabre gets Makabe trapped in the Guillotine Choke. Makabe drives Sabre back first into the turnbuckles. Makabe connects with the Northern Lights Suplex with a Bridge for a two count. Sabre locks in the Octopus Stretch. Makabe reaches the bottom rope to create separation. Sabre stomps on Makabe’s shoulder. After another forearm/uppercut exchange in the middle of the ring, Makabe clotheslines Sabre. Eight Match: (6) Tomohiro Ishii vs. (0) Yuji Nagata in a Block A MatchUp in the G1 Climax Tournament 

Collar and elbow tie up. Ishii applies a wrist lock. Nagata reverses the hold. Ishii HeadButts Nagata. This leads us to a long forearm exchange in the middle of the ring. Ishii dodges a Big Boot from Nagata. Ishii lands another forearm smash. Nagata responds with the Big Boot. Nagata goes for the Shining Wizard, but Ishii ducks out of the way. Ishii dodges a leg lariat from Nagata. Ishii lands a series of knife edge chops. Nagata responds with a buzzsaw kick to the chest. After a long chopping exchange in the middle of the ring, Nagata fires off more forearm strikes in the corner. Nagata repeatedly drives his knee to the chest of Ishii. Nagata lands another buzzsaw kick. Nagata applies a rear chin lock. Nagata kicks Ishii in the back. Ishii responds with a HeadButt. Ishii talks smack to Nagata. Ishii starts mauling Nagata in the corner. Nagata is pissed off.

Coming out of the second forearm exchange of the match, Ishii has Nagata staggering in the corner. Ishii repeatedly kicks Nagata in the face. Nagata responds with a knee lift. Nagata lands a series of buzzsaw kicks to the chest of Ishii. Nagata slaps Ishii in the face. Nagata connects with the Helluva Kick. Nagata plants Ishii with a Exploder Suplex for a two count. Ishii responds with a snap vertical suplex. Ishii starts landing some of buzzsaw kicks of his own. After the third forearm exchange of the match, Ishii connects with a fisherman’s suplex. Ishii follows that with a corner clothesline. Ishii places Nagata on the top turnbuckle. Ishii plants Nagata with an Avalanche Brain Buster for a two count. Ishii goes for a lariat, but Nagata counters with the Fujiwara ArmBar. Ishii crawls to the bottom rope to create separation.

Naito attacks Goto before the bell rings. Naito rakes the eyes of Goto. Naito starts stomping on Goto’s back. Goto responds with a hip toss. Goto follows that with a shoulder tackle. Goto stomps on Naito’s chest. Goto lands a series of forearm strikes. Goto is mauling Naito in the corner. Goto lands a boot across the jaw of Naito. Naito responds with a clothesline that sends Goto crashing to the outside. Naito lands a clubbing blow to the back of Goto. Naito irish whips Goto into the steel guard rail. Naito places Goto on apron. Naito connects with a draping neck breaker. Naito is laying down in the ring. Goto gets back into the ring at the count of seventeen. Naito applies a Standing STF. Tenth Match: (4) Kota Ibushi vs. (8) Hiroshi Tanahashi in a Block A MatchUp in the G1 Climax Tournament 

Collar and elbow tie up. After a standing switch exchange, Ibushi applies a wrist lock. Tanahashi responds with a double leg takedown. Tanahashi is grappling around Ibushi. Ibushi applies a hammer lock. Ibushi follows that with a side headlock takeover. Now we have a stand off in the middle of the ring. Back to the collar and elbow tie up. Ibushi backs Tanahashi into the ropes. We have a clean break. Tanahashi slaps Ibsuhi in the chest. Tanahashi applies a rear chin lock. Tanahashi transitions into a side head lock. Tanahashi drops Ibushi with a shoulder tackle. Ibushi responds with a buzzsaw kick to the chest. Ibushi lands a series of forearm strikes. Tanahashi chop blocks Ibushi. Tanahashi drives Ibushi face first to the top turnbuckle. Tanahashi wraps Ibushi knee under the second rope. Tanahashi kicks Ibushi in the knee. Tanahashi connects with a Shin Breaker. Tanahashi continues to apply more pressure to the knee of Ibushi.

Ibushi crawls to the bottom to rope create separation. Every time Ibushi starts regaining the slightest bit of momentum, Tanahashi continues to target the injured knee. Ibushi goes for a dropkick, but Tanahashi holds onto the ropes. Ibushi finally connects with a dropkick. Ibushi lands a series of buzzsaw kicks across the chest of Tanahashi. Ibushi follows that with a Standing MoonSault for a two count. Tanahashi goes for a German Suplex, but Ibushi counters with a back elbow strike. Tanahashi lands a Big Boot in the corner. Ibushi responds with a Head Scissors Takeover. Tanahashi rolls himself out of the ring. Ibushi connects with the Golden Triangle MoonSault. Tanahashi and Ibushi are trading back and forth shots. Ibushi goes for a SpringBoard German Suplex, but Tanahashi blocks it. Tanahashi connects with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip. Tanahashi drops Ibushi with a Flying Crossbody Block to the outside.

Ibushi gets back into the ring at the count of nineteen. Tanahashi lands two more Dragon Screw Leg Whips. Tanahashi locks in the Texas CloverLeaf Submission Hold. Ibushi crawls to the bottom rope to break up the submission attempt. Ibushi connects with a snap vertical suplex. Tanahashi goes for a German Suplex, but Ibushi lands back on his feet. Ibushi lands a Double Stomp across the midsection of Tanahashi. After a forearm exchange, Ibushi lands another stiff buzzsaw kick. Tanahashi connects with the SlingBlade. Tanahashi goes for the High Fly Flow, but Ibushi blocks it.

Tanahashi and Ibushi are fighting for position on the top rope. Ibushi connects with a Over Head Kick. Ibushi launches Tanahashi face first into the turnbuckles. Ibushi plants Tanahashi with a SpringBoard German Suplex for a two count. Ibushi goes for a PowerBomb, but Tanahashi counters with a Swinging Neck Breaker. Tanahashi follows that with a German Suplex with a Bridge for a two count. Tanahashi plants Ibushi with the SlingBlade for another two count. Tanahashi drops Ibushi with a Flying Crossbody Block. Tanahashi goes for a High Fly Flow, but Ibushi gets his knees up in the air. Tanahashi blocks a knee strike from Ibushi. Ibushi drops Tanahashi with a leg lariat. Ibushi connects with the Last Ride PowerBomb for a two count. Ibushi follows that Kamigoe to pickup the victory.
