The PWT Flashback Series continues. This week i’ll be re-transcribing my 10 favorite promos from The Game, The King Of Kings, Triple H. Let me know in the comment section below, what are your favorite Triple H Promos??
10.) Jim Ross Interviews Triple H – Sunday Night Heat – July 25, 1999
Jim Ross: You asked Chyna not to be involved in this interview and i’m just wondering why?
Triple H: Why? Everybody wants to know why. You know what, because this one is about me, JR. It’s not about Chyna or anybody else. It’s about four weeks from now. It’s about 28 days from now. It’s about me getting what I want out of this business and that is becoming the WWF Champion.
Jim Ross: So, you’re saying that in four weeks at SummerSlam, you will become the WWF Champion without Chyna’s help?
Triple H: You’re right. I don’t need anybody else, Jr. This is about me. I don’t need to be in a kliq anymore. I don’t need to be in DX anymore. This is about me. It’s about me reaching my goals. You know, and while we’re at it. This goes back a long way, JR. This goes back to The Kliq. This goes back to Madison Square Garden. Me, walking in the ring and saying goodbye to my friends.
Jim Ross: That’s four years ago.
Triple H: You’re damn right, it’s four years ago and every day it’s eating a whole in my fucking stomach, JR, every single day.
Jim Ross: Watch your language a little.
Triple H: Why? You don’t want me to shoot with this interview? Oh well, I’m gonna shoot with this. I’m gonna tell you how I feel whether you like it or not. It’s about four years ago. Madison Square Garden, I walked to the ring to say goodbye to my friends. Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Shawn Michaels. Who got punished for that, JR? Me. I did. You know why? Because you didn’t have the balls, nobody in the office had that balls to do it to anybody else. They did it to me. And why? Because I was the easy one. I was the one that would take it.
Good old Triple H, he’ll rise to the occasion later on. Don’t worry about it, he’ll come through. We can take care of that. Now, punish him and get rid of that. He’ll come back later. Well, you know what, that makes me sick in my stomach. Every time I look at you guys, it makes sick to think what you did to me, holding me back. You guys talk about being students of the game, I am the fucking game, Jr. There is nobody that eats, sleeps, or breathes this business more than me. And now, it’s my time to prove that to the world. SummerSlam is my time to take what is mine and that is becoming the WWF Champion.
Jim Ross: You know, Hunter, SummerSlam is about a lot more than just you. It’s about the WWF Title. It’s about Jesse Ventura officiating that match up.
Triple H: To hell with Jesse Ventura. To hell with The Rock. To hell with Austin. To hell with The Undertaker I own all their asses. Jesses Ventura, I could care less. You wanna promote SummerSlam around him? Go right ahead. But when it’s said and done, SummerSlam is about me, it’s about nobody else, it’s about me getting what I deserve in this business and that is what I want and that is becoming the WWF Champion.
9.) The Creator – Monday Night Raw – January 30, 2017 – Laredo, Texas
Seth Rollins, Seth Freaking Rollins. The man I plucked out obscurity and made a star, handed him the world. I sang his praises and he became the first NXT Champion. Ironic, isn’t it? He would go on to be the leader of The Shield and then I would make him an offer to be the best and he bought in, and he bought in in a big way, and standing by my side, Seth Rollins would become the man, standing by my side, Seth Rollins would become the face of the WWE, standing by my side, Seth Freaking Rollins would become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, standing by my side, Seth Rollins would get everything he ever wanted out of this business and more, and all he had to do, all Seth Rollins had to do was hold up his end of the bargain and he couldn’t do it, couldn’t he?
No. Now, as soon as the pressure got to be too much, as soon as the pressure mounted, he collapsed under the weight of it. His leg gave away and he came in this ring and he stood here with tears streaming down his face, and he stood and he held out the world’s championship and he handed it back, and he handed back everything that I ever handed him on a silver freaking platter and he spit in my face. He spit in my face and then he hobbled up that ramp into obscurity, and he thought he was just gonna come back here later as if the world didn’t turn without Seth Rollins. Only the world did turn. And seven months later, when Seth Rollins stood in this ring without me by his side, Seth Freaking Rollins was an abject failure. Seth Rollins was a massive failure, and did he take any responsibility for that failure?
No. That failure was blamed on me. I was the reason that Seth Rollins failed. I am supposed to apologize to Seth Rollins, but I don’t feel like I owe Seth Rollins an apology. If anything, I am the one that is owned an apology. I gave you the world, Seth Rollins, and you spit in my face. Do you have any idea all of you, any idea how hard it is for me, not to come to this ring when Seth Rollins stands out here and calls me out? No, I don’t come out here because my wife asked me not to, and she’s right because it’s what’s best for business that I don’t, because I am trying. Whether anybody wants to believe it or not, I am trying so hard not to be that guy anymore.
I am trying so hard not to be that guy that ends careers, and crushes dreams, and injures people, and doesn’t give a crap about anybody or what anybody thinks. I am trying so hard not to be that guy anymore, to be something more. So, every day, I put on this suit. Every day, I tie this stupid tie and I go to the office. And every day, I try to put that behind me and I try to be a creator. I try to create something more for everybody here, and then a guy like Seth Rollins decides he wants to come to NXT. Seth Rollins wants to come where I am trying to create, where quite honestly I am trying to create the next Seth Freaking Rollins. So, I am done trying. I am so done trying. So, here’s the thing, Seth Freaking Rollins, you don’t have to worry about coming to my house because I am standing right here, right now. You already know who your creator is. Well then Seth Rollins, get your ass to this ring and meet your destroyer.
8.) Forming Evolution – Monday Night Raw – February 3, 2003 – Washington, DC
Today, marks the beginning of a new era. You see, in this industry, just like in life, everything evolves. And what you see in this ring before you is the greatest example of Evolution you will ever see. Ric Flair, 16 Times Heavyweight Champion of the world, The Nature Boy, the greatest professional wrestler of all time, a living legend, woo! Ric Flair has done it all and has beaten them all and done it with a class and a style like no one else. Look at him. Take it from me. There is no one better than Ric Flair. And all of the things that Ric Flair represents I am today.
I have taken all of those attributes and I have put them into the ultimate package, I have put them into a body that every man out there wishes he had and every single one of you women out there wants to be with. You top that off with a mind made for this business and you get the greatest ring general of all time, you get the best that there is, you get the game, you get the World’s Heavyweight Champion. Trust me, trust me when I tell you that there is only one diamond in this business and, baby, you’re looking at them. But Evolution always continues and you have to look to the future and I look to you, Dave Batista, 6’5, 325 pounds of genetic stopping power, unbridled destruction.
In a war when all seems lost, you take out your biggest gun and you blow them all away. And Randy Orton. The business is in his blood, third generation superstar, the man has every gift that a man can be given. Raw, raw genetic talent. Randy Orton is the diamond, Randy Orton is the coal that will be squeezed into the next diamond. You see in life, everything happens for a reason. It’s just a natural process of Evolution. You see, if you don’t have what it takes, then Evolution will leave you behind. So if you wake up one day and you’re lying in a hospital bed and you’re all beat up and you’re wondering to yourself, what in the hell happened? Then there’s just one answer for you, Evolution has just passed you by.
7.) Taking Over D-Generation X – Monday Night Raw – March 30, 1998 – Albany, New York
You know, a lot can happen in 24 hours. Let’s start with Mike Tyson. You know, I must have asked a thousand times, is he locked in? Is he with us? Is he a part of us? Are you sure? Is it sewn up? What I heard was don’t worry kid, I got it covered. Don’t sweat it, you worry too much, it’s sewn up. Let me make the decisions. Well, you dropped the ball. But don’t worry HBK because Triple H picked it up, and now the ball is in my court. I’ll take care of the worries. I’ll take care of the problems.
And i’ll make the decisions. This is the genesis of D-Generation X. Tonight live in front of the world, I form the DX Army, an army to take care of business that should have been taken care of right from the start. And when you start an army, when you set out to do what no one else can do, the first thing you do is you look to your blood. You look to your buddies. You look to your friends. You look to The Kliq. You know, when you’ve been an indentured servant for two years, you write up a lot of feelings, talk to them kid. Oh, yeah by the way I got two words for you, suck it!
6.) The New Regime – September 25, 2013 – Michael Cole Sit-Down Interview
Michael Cole: Okay, so Hunter, I want to ask you some questions, some very candid questions. And I’ve gotta be honest with you, I feel like if I do, that I will lose my job.
Triple H: Michael, is that image of me right now? That if you ask a question, you lose your job? You know, I asked for this interview, right? I personally asked for you to do this interview. You’re the voice of the WWE, I love what you do. I have no problem with anything you have said. That is your job, your job is to ask the hard questions, to have the opposing point of view, that’s great. It’s why I asked you to do this interview. If that’s the impression of me, right now, I want to get that out in the open, I want to clear the air because that is not me. There’s a lot of fear and a lot of unknown, and I want to get it out in the open, so you ask whatever question that is you want to ask, you should have zero fear of repercussion, okay? Zero. Ask the question you want to ask and I will tell you the truth.
Michael Cole: So, the first thing I want to ask, it’s about your message, because it seems to be rather confusing. The fact that you’ll allow me to voice my opinion, and ask you questions, but then others, Cody Rhodes, Big Show, Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan have been punished for voicing their opinions.
Triple H: I think it’s all on how you look at that. They haven’t been punished for voicing their opinions, they’ve been either, they’ve had repercussion for being insubordinate or not following what they’ve been asked to do, not being the employee we want them to be, not being the talent that we want them to be. People can put their own spin on this, however they want, and voicing their opinion. Nobody here has been punished for voicing an opinion. Everyone is allowed to have their opinion, everybody is allowed to have their opinion of everything that goes on here, but you have to pose it in a respectful way, you have to be respectful of the company, respectful of the people that are above you and that controls this company. And then, you have to actually do the job that you’re asked to do.
Michael Cole: Hunter, at SummerSlam, no one is questioning the way that Randy Orton won the WWE Championship. For the most part, every single person that’s ever cashed in the contract, has done it when the champion is vulnerable, which is what Randy Orton did. The precedent that was set, however, at SummerSlam, is what has everyone talking and where the confusion seems to lie. And that’s the fact the COO of this company, who was the special guest referee for that match got involved and made a decision on that moment, to pick and choose who he wanted to be champion, you affected the course of history in WWE at SummerSlam, did you not?
Triple H: It’s not to pick and choose who I wanted, it’s to pick and choose who is right for business, who is best for this company. I am the COO of this company, it is my job to ensure the best product for the WWE Universe, for everybody. It is on me to ensure that happens and I made sure that happen. Daniel Bryan is not the right representation of the WWE, at that time at SummerSlam, Randy Orton was. Randy Orton had a legitimate opportunity to cash in money in the back and he did. Randy Orton is now the WWE Champion, it’s as simple as that.
Michael Cole: No disrespect, but why do you get to make that decision, in what seems like a vacuum, where no one else seemed to be asked about the decision?
Tripe H: This is where people struggle, because it’s my job. I have been handed the responsibility, the burden of making that decision for everybody. That is not an easy decision, it’s one I don’t take, lightly. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, that’s a saying, right? And it’s the truth, when you are burden with making the decision, when you are burden with not only the talent here, but the 700 plus employees that work in corporate WWE, to ensure there is food on their table every night, to ensure that they’re in the most prosperous company they can be in, that’s the burden I have.
That’s the burden I had at SummerSlam, that’s the burden that I have everyday, with every decision I make to make the WWE everything that it can be and that is the decision I made. Why am I the person that was chosen to do that, ask Vince McMahon? Because I was the best candidate? Because I have the best mind for the business? Whatever that reason is, the reality of it is, the fact is ..
Michael Cole: Or maybe because you’re his son in law?
Triple H: Maybe that’s the reason, but it doesn’t change the fact that at this present time, I am the COO of this company and I am in charge of making those decisions.
Michael Cole: Okay, so let’s say that you thought about this decision, to allow Randy Orton to win the championship, that you sat down and you played all these scenarios out in your head, and you decided at SummerSlam that if Daniel Bryan was going to win the WWE Championship, i’m gonna take him out, and i’m gonna make sure that Randy Orton becomes the face of this company. Let’s say you thought about that. What happens with what we saw on Raw this past Monday Night, where it seems like it was a knee-jerk reaction from you, where you didn’t give it any thought, when Cody Rhodes made a comment about Orton vs Daniel Bryan being the match the world wants to see. And then, like that, you put him in a match, where his entire career, his livelihood, his personal life is put on the line in a manner of moments?
Triple H: Yeah, here’s the thing, you can’t take the human component out of this. Have I made snap decisions in my life, sure. There’s an emotional factor to this, that plays into everything. Cody Rhodes, the decision, could’ve been seen as a snap decision. Was it the right decision, was it the wrong decision? I guess time will tell, the WWE hasn’t collapsed since that time happened. This is bigger than any one man. I think that there was a bit of venom, and a bit of intent in the words that Cody carefully chose when he spoke to me.
At this point in time, with a new regime in the WWE, you have to carefully look at people’s attitudes and how that effects everybody else in the locker room. You have to break eggs to make an omelette, Michael. And if Cody Rhodes had to be the egg that got cracked, to make the WWE a better place, then as much as it pained me to do, then i’m willing to make that sacrifice, because i’m trying to force this company to grow. I’m trying to force the talent to grow, i’m trying to force the WWE Universe to grow, and growth is painful.
Michael Cole: Hunter, does any of this bother you, personally? I mean, for instance, not only Cody Rhodes, but your wife went down to the ring and aired all of Big Show’s dirty laundry, all his financial problems to world, does that not bother you?
Triple H: No, it’s a fair question, Michael. But let me ask you this, you look at it in your simple little vacuum, in your simple world, this is so much bigger than you can even fathom. Put yourself in my position, Big Show is a 20 year veteran, a locker room leader, everybody in that locker room looks up to him as The World’s Largest Athlete, they see him as a legend in this business, larger than life, they all look up to him. And I asked him to do something, as his boss, I asked him to go and perform his job and he tells me no. Now, if you work at IMB, and the COO of the company tells you to go do your job, and you tell them no, you get fired. Maybe that’s what I should’ve done, but this is where the personal becomes the issue. I’m friends with Big Show. I’ve known him for 20 years, since the moment he started in this business, I helped trained him.
We have a long history together, an emotional history together. And I know the facts, I know everything about his life, now I have two opportunities, I can go out and I can force him to do the right thing and do his job or I can let him get fired, knowing that is destroys his life, knowing that he can’t put food on the table any longer. What is he gonna do? Is he gonna be a movie star? He’s gonna get another job, like my wife said, The World’s Largest Gas Station Attendant? No, I know his personal situation, i’m burden with that, you’re not. If he gets fired, he is done, life over, game over. I saved him, I spared him. And you can look at it and say it’s harsh, no different when a parent has to discipline their child in front of other kids.
It’s harsh, it’s embarrassing, it’s all those things, but it’s a fact and they learned an important lesson, he learned an important lesson. And the reality of this, I did what I did because I care about Big Show. But yet, everybody, and this is where it becomes difficult, and this where I try to be above all of this, everybody looks at that, and they think that i’m the bad guy. And that’s okay, I’m willing to accept that burden. Who do you think it was harder on? My wife and I, knowing that we had to go out there and crush our friends soul in front of the world to get him to do what was right or his? I think it was harder on us, I had to emotionally to go out there and devastate my friend to do the right thing.
Michael Cole: You really believe that?
Triple H: Michael, at the end of the day, all I was asking him to do was his job. Nothing more, nothing less. Go to the ring, do your job, he refused. What kind of precedent would that set in a locker room? A 20 year veteran just looks at me and says no i’m not gonna do my job, I would have anarchy, I can’t have that.
Michael Cole: So what point is enough, enough? I mean, take Daniel Bryan for instance, this kid worked, you know, 15 years of his life to climb the top of the mountain. At SummerSlam, he beat one of the greatest of all time in John Cena, fair and square, you called the match as the referee right down the middle and he earned the WWE Championship. You ripped that away from him, okay? Now, each and every week, this pour guy is getting pummeled, and beat up, and punished, and destroyed. And Monday Night on Raw, you had a giant knock him out, when he was already defenseless.
Triple H: Because he has made this personal. This was a business decision, right? The Daniel Bryan not being the face of the WWE is a business that is right for the WWE.
Michael Cole: Hunter, wait a minute. You said that he’s made it personal because he’s thrown some lines out there and maybe he’s made fun of your suit or what not. I remember the Hunter, I’ve been with you nearly 20 years, I remember the Hunter where 10-15 years ago, if somebody said something personal about you, you used to laugh it off.
Triple H: If you are willing to do the crime, you have to be willing to do the time. I was willing take whatever repercussion came my way, whatever fight came my way, for what I said. If I opened my mouth, I was willing to take the fight. You cannot open your mouth, have the fight come to you, and then whine about it. Daniel Bryan was in a business situation. Yes, he scraped and he clawed, so did everybody else, everybody has worked hard to get where they are. And you know what? Cold hard fact of life, some guys get to the top, some guys don’t, that’s a fact.
Michael Cole: Hunter, he got to the top?
Triple H: And he shouldn’t have been there. He overachieved and was now in a position that he should’ve never been in. It was taken away from him, maybe he should never got the taste.
Michael Cole: Do you know how many times in your life when you started in this business, that people thought you overachieved, that you were never going to make it, that you were riding Shawn Michaels coattails, that’s the only reason why you were in position that you were?
Triple H: And I proved them wrong. If Daniel Bryan proves me wrong, I will be the first guy to walk up and shake his hand and say you proved me wrong. He’s not the face of the WWE. He’s not the man we want as the face of the WWE. He is the wrong corporate image for the WWE. Are you saying that Randy Orton is an undeserving champion? I guess you would be saying that his nine other title reigns were undeserving as well, a lot of this come down to ego.
John Cena’s ego, that he was so great that he can step into the ring with a torn tricep and still defend the WWE Championship. Daniel Bryan’s ego, that if he became WWE Champion, he became the face of the industry. That’s all ego, this is all ego. If Daniel Bryan would take a step back, realize that what I’m doing for him is what’s best for the entire WWE Universe. If he would accept that, this would all stop. This is all on him. He has the ability to stop this, at any point of time and it’s just knowing his spot in life.
Michael Cole: So my final question to you is this, a number of superstars when they found out that I was going to conduct this interview with you, came up to me and they all asked me to please ask Hunter, what to expect? They are all walking on egg shells, Hunter. They don’t know what to do or what they can say. Are you ever going to talk them?
Triple H: It’s understandable that they would feel that way. And maybe that’s a mistake on my part, maybe I should’ve had this conversation with them earlier. But Friday Night on SmackDown, i’m gonna hold, for lack of a better term, a town hall meeting. I’m gonna invite all the talent out, i’m gonna stand in that ring, and with no repercussions, i’m gonna let everybody do exactly what you’re doing. If somebody has something they want to get off their chest, I’m gonna let them to do it. If someone has a question they want to ask me, i’m gonna let them say it. This is an open book. What I want them to understand is that i’m doing what is best for him.
Michael Cole: And they don’t have to worry about being thrown into a handicap match against The Shield or being punched by Big Show?
Triple H: There will be no repercussions on anybody’s side. Now, it will business as usual for the rest of SmackDown, talent will be expected to do their jobs, talent will be expected to go out to the ring and perform, but there will be no direct repercussions for anybody’s questions or statements regarding anything I or my wife have done in the last few weeks as all of this has shaken out.
Michael Cole: Well, thank you for answering the questions, and thank you for allowing me this time.
Triple H: Thank you, Michael. You know, at the end of the day, I hope this really just clarifies stuff, for everybody. I’m not the enemy here. I want these people to understand, I want the talent to understand, I work for them. If they do the right things, it makes me want to work for them. And I want to help them, that’s what i’m here for. If they just let me work for them, I promise them they will get things they never dreamed of. Growth is painful, I want everybody here to grow and if they’ll just listen and come along, everyone will grow, and everyone will prosper, that’s it.
5.) Triple H Return – January 7, 2002 – Madison Square Garden – Monday Night Raw
Just in case you’ve forgotten. Let me tell you just in who the hell I am. I am the game. And you can bet your ass i’m back. And I am the guy that tonight officially enters the Royal Rumble.
4.) Monday Night Raw – March 17, 2014
I want you to understand something, when this is all said and done, this is your fault. All of this is your fault. It didn’t have to come to this, but now, i’m gonna crush your dreams, i’m gonna end The YES! Movement, i’m gonna end Daniel Bryan, and that is on you because you forced my hand. Now, i’m not upset about it, I’ve had a week to calm down, i’ve had a week to relax, i’ve had a week to think about this, and quite honestly, i’m gonna do what I do in this ring at WrestleMania to Daniel Bryan, cold, calculated, and without remorse, just like I always have. But until then, I have a couple of things that i’d like to say to Daniel Bryan, and i’m gonna say them to his face later tonight, man to man. But until then, we’ve got a hell of a show here for you tonight.
– Triple gets interrupted by Batista and Randy Orton.
What the hell are you thinking? You think for a second that Daniel Bryan has a chance in hell of beating me? A possibility, you think there’s a possibility that Daniel Bryan’s gonna beat me? Is that what you’re saying? Let me say this slowly so you can both understand it, so all of you can understand it. That is not gonna happen. What the hell is the matter with you guys, huh? What is the matter, huh? Is Daniel Bryan really gotten that far inside your heads? That’s not a bad idea, Randy. You want Daniel Bryan, No DQ tonight, you’ve got it. You want to know where i’m going? You want to know what i’m sick of? I’m sick of everything around here. I’m sick of little troll faced gremlins like Daniel Bryan. I’m sick of them cheering for him, i’m sick of all of this crap.
You want to know what else i’m sick of? I’m not just sick of them, i’m sick of Hollywood movie stars coming back here thinking they could tell me what’s right for this business. Thinking that they know more about this business than I do. You know what else i’m sick of? I’m sick of technically gifted guys who are so screwed up in the head that they can’t win a match without me holding their hand. You know what i’m thinking right now? I’m thinking the old man was right. The only one you could trust in this world is yourself. There’s gonna be a triple threat match at WrestleMania. Daniel Bryan is not gonna be in it because he is not gonna get past me. But when I beat Daniel Bryan, the triple threat match is gonna be Batista, and Randy Orton, and me.
– Here’s the part where Triple H talks to Daniel Bryan.
As I said earlier, I would like to ask Daniel Bryan to come out here, I’ve got somethings that I would like to get off my chest. And i’d like to do it face to face, man to man. So, Daniel, if you don’t mind, come down to this ring right now. First of all, thank you for coming out here, I appreciate it. I want to get a couple of things off my chest. And trust me, this is not a popular decision I had made to stand out here and talk to you in my circles. I’d be lucky if my wife talks to me tonight. But I want to say to you tonight and look in you in the eye like a man. A lot of things have led to this moment, Daniel. A lot of things have happened between the two of us. Since SummerSlam until now. A lot has gone on. And I want to explain to you that everything that I did, everything i’ve done to you up to this moment. I have done because I believed it is best for business.
None of it is personal. And here’s the thing Daniel, i’m gonna say this, you might tell me to go to hell. It doesn’t really matter to me, but I want you to hear this and I want you to understand. None of this was personal. This was about what is best for the WWE. Now, you might not understand that. And i’m not gonna stand out here and debate with you the difference between right and wrong. And to be quite honest, I can’t expect you, I can’t expect them, I can’t expect anybody else to understand the burden of having to make the decisions that I have to make day in and day out of what is best for this company. But that being said, a lot has happened. Last week, you crossed a line. You crossed a line that you don’t come back from. But i’m willing to let it all be in the past. I’m willing to let it be water under the bridge because the truth is, it doesn’t matter what lead us to this moment, Daniel. It just matters that now, we are in this moment and somehow it feels like it was just supposed to happen this way.
Like we were supposed to be in the ring together, but this is the fact. In three weeks, on the biggest stage that man has ever known at WrestleMania, you and I are gonna step in this ring together, and we’re gonna fight. And i’m not gonna apologize one bit for what I’d do to you in that ring, nor should you apologize to me. We are gonna do what we do better than anybody else on this planet at WrestleMania. But when it’s all said and done, Daniel, you crossed the line, and now I have no choice but to put an end to all of this. I don’t necessarily want to. I have no choice. I have no choice but to end this little yes movement. I have no choice but to put an end to this uprising. I have no choice but to shut that down. And if shutting that down means I have to put an end to you, Daniel, then no apologies, that’s what I have to do. Because it’s what’s best for business and I will do what is best for business every single time.
But as a man, I just wanted to look you in the eye. And let you know, no hard feelings in all of this. May the best man win. Nah, that’s cool. Hey, listen, if I was you, I’d do the exact same thing, probably a lot worst. You know what? Before I leave, I do want to let you know one more thing. And that’s, man, I have dump a ton on you since SummerSlam. I have stopped you, I have thrown roadblocks in front of you, I have beaten you, I have done everything possible. I have dump a world on top of you, and yet, you’re still standing here. You know what? You know why they say that? Because they respect you, they have seen you go through it all, they have seen you walk through a mountain of crap that I have dumped on you when anybody else would have folded a long time ago, and took their ball and go home. Not you. And I got to tell you, you got a big set, and if nothing else, Daniel Bryan, you have earned my respect. Guys, enough. Hey, enough. All right. Get off him. Hey, this is not what I want. This is not what I want, let him go. All right? You guys just need to back off. I mean, after all, you’re not even real cops. Get out of here. And besides, i’m really looking forward to doing this myself. My ring, our ring, our house, our show. This belongs to us. There is no yes movement.
3.) Me And My Friend, Mark – Monday Night Raw – July 21, 2014
It’s funny all day long i’m walking around backstage, no one wants to me look me in the eye. They’re all scattering around on eggshells, scared as if i’m gonna blow a gasket over what happened last night, as if i’m gonna blow a gasket over the fact that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship did not come back to The Authority. No, it stayed on John Cena. Now, i’ll admit, i’m mad, I am very mad today. I am madder than I have ever been in a long time, but I have options on how I handle this. I have options. Do you know what i’m gonna do about it? Do you know what i’m gonna do? I’m gonna tweet my displeasure. That’s right. I’m gonna jump on social media and i’m gonna tweet about it until my fingers bleed. I might even send an instagram or a vine.
That’s right. And on that tweet, in that tweet, and however many characters I get, I am gonna threaten. That’s right, if I don’t get what I want, i’m gonna riot. And if that doesn’t work, then my god, me and my friend, Mark, we’re gonna stop watching. That’s right. Or you know what, or hell, I have options or I could just fire everybody back there. I’ll fire all of you, maybe I just throw you out of the building, throw you out in the weather. That’ll end all of my problems, right? Or you know what, or I could just relax. I could relax knowing that sooner or later, I always win. And if I have to wait four more weeks until SummerSlam to win, then so be it. But like a true genius, once said, at SummerSlam, I can guarandamntee that John Cena will no longer be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. But the question is who? Who gets the opportunity?

1.) It’s Time – Monday Night Raw – March 28, 2011 – Chicago, Illinois
Do you wanna know the truth? Truth is you got soft. The truth is somewhere along the way you decided it was more important to be The Showstopper and Mr. WrestleMania, which you are, but you realized a long time ago, Shawn, you don’t have to win every night to be one of those things. I’m not Shawn Michaels, not even close. I have to win. And I will win. 16 years ago I walked into that locker room for the first time. It was filled with legends, future icons of this business. You know what I saw? I saw one guy who that stood head and shoulders above everybody else. One guy that I could clearly see was the glue that held this all together. I watched that guy do things that no human being should be able to do. I watched him duck taped a flak jacket to himself because he’d broken every rib and was still gonna go to the ring that night. I watched him wrestle with broken bones, torn ligaments, I watched him crushed one entire side of his face and wrestle the next night.
I learned real quick that that’s what this business was about. He did it not because he was told to or because he had to, because that’s who he was. I learned that if I should pattern myself after anybody in this business, it should be that guy. That he represented everything that the WWE was and should be. That guy was you, dead man. I learned to respect you more and more every single day. And there’s only one guy in this entire business that I respect more, as much, as you and that’s him. Fix or six years ago, Shawn and I were driving down the road and we made a pact with each other, that if one of us ever got to the point that we could no longer perform at the standard we had set for ourselves then the other guy would look that guy in the eye and tell him, it’s time, and if the guy couldn’t accept it, we’d end it for him. That’s how much we respect each other.
I came back after a year off for one thing. I came back and stood in this ring for one reason only. And that is to stand here out of respect, to look you dead in your eyes, and tell you, it’s time. Now that might not be a popular decision, a lot of people probably can’t see that, you probably can’t see that, but I can see that. Here’s the thing, you will always be a legend. You will always be an icon. You will always be the phenom, you will always be the deadman. And I will always respect you more than any other. But in six days, you will no longer be undefeated at WrestleMania. Because whether I want it to be or not, I am the one, as in 18-1. At WrestleMania 27, Deadman, you and your streak, with all due respect and well deservedly, will rest in peace.
