The New Day, The Miz, John Morrison, The Lucha House Party and The Forgotten Sons In-Ring Segment
Kofi Kingston: It’s real, yes. Last week, your boys, The New Day became your WWE World Tag Team Champions for the eight time, baby. Hey, we got to put some respect on this man’s name because this is the man who’s responsible, the man who defeated the odds. This man, my brother, Big E, baby. Put some respect on his name. Chest bump me, dog, put your hands together for Big E.
Big E: Kofi, there’s no one here to clap, not a soul. But speaking of eight times, man, there’s nothing like having our girls back wrapped around waist. And speaking of which, late last night …
Kofi Kingston: Woah, sir, let’s not get into those details. Not here, okay? But what I do want to get into the historical significance of what we have accomplished. And I don’t mean to come across as braggadocios, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being proud of what you’ve accomplished. We have more tag team championship reigns than great teams like, The Hart Foundation, The British Bulldogs, The New Age Outlaws, Demolition, Edge and Christian. And I don’t say this to brag, no, I say it because I am proud, we are proud to have our names etched forever next to some of the greatest tag teams in the history of this industry.
Big E: Yes, man, 8 times. 8 times, that’s more championships than future hall of famer, Tampa Bay Buccaneer, Tom Brady. Yes, Tom Brady baby is in Tampa. It’s a new day in Tampa Bay. It’s beautiful, it’s a beautiful thing, Kofi. Hey, i’m just joking, it’s fine.
Lince Dorado: We just wanted to come out and say congratulations to The New Day. 8-Time Tag Team Champions, yo, that’s what I call, Lucha Lit. Lucha Lit, Papa. But you know what’s not lucha lit? Sitting in the back and watching team after team get opportunities that are clearly not coming to The Lucha House Party. But tonight, I guess that we wanted to come and congratulate you and be the first team to challenge you for those tag team titles.
The Miz: Really? Really? You guys come out here acting like you’re legitimate champions? You beat me in a singles match for the tag team championships.
John Morrison: We’ve been getting the short end of the stick, every time. Our first title defense, inside the elimination chamber.
The Miz: Our second title defense, a singles triple threat ladder match.
John Morrison: Our third title defense, but we’ve already talked about another travesty of justice. But see, you two have never beaten us in a traditional tag team match. Your win, was cheap. Hey hey, ho ho.
The Miz: I don’t know who’s pulling strings for you two, but you don’t deserve those championships, we elevate those titles. We elevate the entire tag team division. You make those titles look like jokes and we are sick of it. We want our titles back and we want it back, right here, right now.
– There’s a momentary pause cause we’re trying to figure out what Gran Metalik said. The Forgotten Sons joins the conversation.
The Miz: All right, can we help you? I mean, who the hell are these guys?
Steve Cutler: Who we are? Yeah, laugh it up. I’ll tell you exactly who we are. My name is Steve Cutler, this is Jaxson Ryker, and that’s Wesley Blake and we’re The Forgotten Sons. We actually served our country. And ever since we’ve come home, we’ve been treated like trash, tossed to the side. And you may not know who we are now, but you will. Y’all will, because we’re the ones who are gonna reign over the SmackDown tag team division and it will be forgotten, no more.
The Miz: How dare you come out here and interrupt me? There’s a thing in WWE called, respect. I have been here for 15 years. I have main evented WrestleMania.
Jaxson Ryker: You’re a poser. You see, Miz, you played a marine in the movies, but standing in front of you is a real life marine, so maybe you should shut your mouth.
Wesley Blake: See, we’re cut from a different cloth. We’ve been gifted with a different set of skills, both mentally and physically. Some would even call us, savages. And the thing about us is that we can strike anywhere, at any time and you wouldn’t see it coming.
A pier six brawl ensues. The Forgotten Sons connects with The Memory Remains. Jaxson Ryker PowerBombs Kofi on top of Big E to close the segment.
