AJ Lee, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch Segment
AJ Lee: Thank you. So, for those who weren’t here 10 years ago, and who were really confused as to why your millennial parents were very excited on Friday, allow me to introduce myself. My name is AJ Lee. And I am your favorite wrestler’s, favorite wrestler. And 10 years ago, I retired. I said I was sorry, oh my god. I felt like I had accomplished all of my dreams in wrestling, and I was content, and I hung up my Chuck Taylors, and I thought that was the end of my story. There was no way I was going to step back in a ring again wearing jean shorts that were two sizes, too small. I was so sure, and so I went on a journey to accomplish all these other crazy dreams that I had, and I did it. But most importantly, I went on a mental health journey.
I wasn’t healthy, I needed to take care of myself, I needed to get right. I went to therapy, I got treatment. Cheer for therapy. Fantastic. And I found a way to turn all this mental chaos into my superpower. And man, the fight is not easy, every day is a fight, but let me tell you, if you’re going through the same thing, that fight is worth it, you are worth it. And I was doing really good for a long time, and then I watched Monday Night Raw, and look, healing isn’t linear, because it’s one thing to see your husband fighting Drew McIntyre or Seth Rollins or John Cena, but it’s another thing entirely to see him in the ring with Becky Lynch. Yeah, I mean, look, I wanted to like Becky, I thought that we had so much in common. I mean, she’s a leader, she’s a rebel, she’s a New York Times Best-Selling Author. I did it first, yes. I am everybody’s favorite reference, I know, thank you. Back on track, there’s a world in which me and Becky could’ve been friends, but then she had to go on motorboat my husband, she put her hands on him, she berated him, she defamed him.
Becky Lynch: This has nothing to do with your stank ass husband. Is everybody insane? Has anybody notice, are you all stupid? Of course, you are, you live in Milwaukee. She’s wearing my title. That is my title, that is the title I had made the most important title in the division. And you and me, we are nothing alike, okay? We are nothing alike, because I, shut up, shut your face, I am the greatest female wrestler of all-time, and it’s not just me saying it, other people say it, Sports Illustrated says it. I do not suck, because The Chicago Tribune says it, The Milwaukee Journal says it. I’m gonna need to go to therapy after this. You do not deserve to put a finger on my title.
AJ Lee: Oh my god. It works, I swear, it’s wonderful, I have some names I can give you. This is so embarrassing, I completely forgot I was wearing this. Oh my god, for real, I’ve just been like skipping around the house with it, I slept in it last night, yeah, things kind of got weird this morning when I was getting dressed.
Becky Lynch: Cut the crap, okay, do not put your grubby hands on my title.
AJ Lee: Becky, you’re sporting quite the shiner there. Oh my god, was that me? Was that one my tiny fist of fury? Sometimes I go feral, and I black out, and I didn’t realize I did that. But since you’re the greatest of all-time, why don’t you come in and get it?
Becky Lynch: I’m not a chicken. Okay, okay, you listen to me, you Jersey trash bag weirdo. You keep your hands off my title, I already had to bathe in bleach after touching your greasy husband, okay. Which, by the way, where is he? Yeah, exactly, where is he? What kind of man hides behind his wife, because this had nothing to do with you before he got you involved. This had everything to do with me and my husband, and our family, and our business, and our vision, okay? You did not need to stick your neck in where it doesn’t belong. In fact, actually, why don’t we bring him out here? Why don’t I show you what a proper champion looks like? Why don’t we get my hot husband out here? Hit his music.
Seth Rollins: Hey, hey, hey, quiet down, quiet down. Pump the brakes, look, this is very simple, we can make this super easy. AJ, just give Becky her Intercontinental Championship back, and we can all leave this dump of a city, as soon as possible. Very simple, easy greasy.
AJ Lee: Oh, you want me to give the title back? Oh, no, that’s a really good idea, I didn’t about that, to just give you back the title?
Seth Rollins: See how easy that is, great idea. Now, hand it over.
AJ Lee: But I do, just really quick, we can do that, but I have a better idea. Two options here, okay? One, Becky, you can come in this right now, and take your title, but you will risk me giving you another black eye on the other one, or I will give you this title if you agree to a tag match. AJ Lee & CM Punk versus Becky Lynch & Seth Rollins. Pick your poison.
Seth Rollins: AJ, look, I know you’ve been 10 years, you don’t understand how things work, let me explain it to you. I am the World Heavyweight Champion. This is my show. These are my people. You’ve been back for a cup of coffee, you don’t call the shots, I call the shots. So, I’m gonna come into this ring, and I’m going to take that title, give it back to my incredible wife, and that’s gonna be the end of it, understand?
AJ Lee: Thanks for mansplaining that, everybody loves that.
Seth Rollins: Very easy, very simple.
AJ stops Seth in his tracks.
Seth Rollins: Alright, you listen and you listen real good, that does not belong to you, that is my title. This is my show, you don’t get to hold it hostage, you don’t call the shots, I run the show, you understand me.
CM Punk goes for The GTS, but Rollins lands back on his feet. Rollins retreats to the outside.
Seth Rollins: Hey, this doesn’t work. You want a match? You get the match at Wrestlepalooza. You’re both done for.
AJ gives the Women’s IC Title and throws it at Becky to close this segment.
