Tom Phillips: Thanks for joining us here on the WWE Network. This is 205 Live. I’m Tom Phillips. This is a great opportunity right now within the cruiserweight division in all of WWE. Of course, we’re in the middle of a tournament to crown an interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion, while the reigning champion Jordan Devlin unable to participate because he is stuck in Ireland. So, it has given us an opportunity to look back at so many of the superstars that have helped build the cruiserweight division. I got to say, i’m giddy about this one because we get to look at the greatest tag team in the history of 205 Live, Samir and Sunil, The Singh Brothers. For all we know, next year, it’s not going to be WrestleMania Hollywood; it’s going to be WrestleMania Bollywood. So without any further ado, lights, camera, bollywood action.

The Singh Brothers: WWE Universe. 205 Live, it is your boys from bolly, bolly, bolly, bolly, wood. The Singh Brothers and we’re going to talk about the match that made us. It stands out immediately to us. Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels WrestleMania 12 Iron Man Match. I was about six, you were about, nine years old. It’s etched in our minds. Yeah. It was just so real, so raw, so emotional. It spoke to us. It reached out to us and even more so now being in the industry. It’s a match that inspired us to be where we are. Ya know, we wanted to get to the WWE and this is all we ever dreamed of. I mean that match alone. Not only did it go 60 minutes, it went 60 plus minutes because it went into sudden death overtime. And just the emotional roller coaster that match was.

That’s what it is. When you realize that journey that could take you on. For 60 minutes on that, that’s very hard to do. And the fact that those two did it and captivated the audience. Even in the entrances and the build up. That match though, it shaped our childhood. You look back 20 plus years from now, you’re like wow that’s the match that made us get into this business. Spend time in The Hart Family Dungeon. Exactly. I mean, we’ve been blessed to build a relationship with a guy like Bret, and help and guide our careers. Shawn down at NXT.

Even years later you appreciate the match so much more just being in this industry. It just speaks volumes of how passionate those two guys were. It’s professional wrestling at its best. And that’s the best way to put it because that was the match that got us into professional wrestling. And that’s what it is. When we graduated high school, there was never an, “ok what are we going to do now?” It was ok, time to do that. Time to rock and roll. That’s what it is, so that match speaks volumes to us. We hope you enjoy it because it obviously shaped our childhood and it got us this far. We always try to look for ways to take this further. In the words of Howard Finkel, ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall.

First Match: Bret Hart (c) vs. Shawn Michaels In The Iron Man Match For The WWF Championship – WrestleMania 12

The Singh Brothers: 205 Live, WWE Universe. It is your Singh Brothers. The boys from Bollywood. The boys with the castle, the boys with the charisma, the boys with the personality and here to talk about a match that made us. Lucha House Party vs. The Singh Brothers. Tornado Tag Match. What day was that? Do you remember? July 2, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. That was an important match for us solely because we had just transitioned back on to 205 Live and it was important for us to be able to keep up with guys like The Lucha House Party who are phenomenal. We all know their ability and for us it was like, okay, can we keep up with them?

And we felt like that was a big test for us and it stands out vividly for both of us. And not only that, but we had a series of matches with them that summer. So we were going back and forth, a pinata got involved. Don’t forget, we are award winning bollywood actors, our trophy got broken in half. Which is why the outcome wasn’t what we wanted, we were distracted, but it’s okay, we’re all about the performance. We’re movie stars. It’s about the craft. It’s not take one, take two or take three, it’s the final take that everyone remembers. And the final take, it didn’t have The Singh Brothers victorious, but we kept up with them. What a performance though. Award winning performance by both of us and The Lucha House Party, we’ll give them that much. We’ll do it again, but for now, check it out.

Tom Phillips: Listen, listen, listen, even though Sunil and Samir may have lost that doesn’t change anything. They are still the greatest tag team in the history of 205 Live. The Singh Brothers, there’s a reason that they’re bollywood award winning actors. And they’re friends with The Rock, so everybody shut up, it’s fine. Listen, I hope you guys have been enjoying the interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship Tournament on NXT. And we hope you’ll join us next week here on 205 Live on the WWE Network.
