Cody Rhodes & Paul Heyman Segment
Paul Heyman: Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman. There is so much for me to talk about, and all we have tonight together is two hours. For those of you that watch Unreal, that means anyone back in gorilla right now is going, oh, my god, Heyman is gonna go two hours, but I’m not. Everyone can relax, I won’t choose the subject tonight, instead, I will paraphrase, a pseudo, facto, wannabe secondary champion, and I will ask you, Orlando. So, what do you want to talk about? Would you like to talk about the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Freakin’ Rollins? Okay, his greatness is above your paygrade. Well, I would love, love to talk about The OTC, “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns, but it’s disrespectful to speak of the injured, when he got his ass stretchered out of Paris by “Big” Bronson Reed. So, hey, how about this, shall we talk about The Dog that is going to main event WrestleMania, 5, 10 straight years, the man that will lead WWE into the 2030’s, may even the 2040’s, Bron Breakker? Is that what we should talk about or perhaps we should talk about the conspiracy theories and the rumors regarding, Brock Lesnar? Well, since that seems to be the prevailing sentiment.
Cody Rhodes: Did all of us get a chance to watch that Wrestlepalooza recap? Did we see it? Oh, Mr. Heyman, I made a mistake last week. I called you a goon. And I think you know me pretty well. I don’t think you’re a goon, you’re one of the smartest men I know. And you love to disrupt, you love to stir it up, and you have an entire locker room stirred up, so I’ll go ahead and ask the question. Tell me about Brock Lesnar? No, no, no, I can’t just come out here without evidence, I suppose. We saw that same package, if you don’t mind, our friends in the truck, there it is. Now, here’s what concerns me. I know Brock Lesnar, and I don’t know him as well as you, but does that look like the face of somebody if it was just a one-night thing? So, I’ll be more precise, I love to know who I’m talking to. Am I talking to The Oracle, am I talking to a Wiseman or am I talking to The Advocate?
Paul Heyman: You’re talking to the goat. And as the greatest of all-time, I respect the fact that you’re confronting me about, Brock Lesnar, because you know, as well as everybody else knows, that when Brock Lesnar is here, everyone is in danger. A little bit of good news for you, Brock Lesnar is not here this evening. But Mr. Rhodes, what makes you think that you’re not in danger, right now?
– The Vision circles around the ringside area.
Cody Rhodes: I guess it’s about time. I keep hearing how you’re the future of the industry. I keep hearing how dangerous you both may be, that you’re gonna inherit all of this, and maybe you’re right. Bron, I’ll start with you, I’m sure that Mr. Heyman tells you all the time that you’re a WrestleMania Main Event waiting to happen. And I beat ya, he tells him the very same thing. And at your age, I would kill to be a Heyman Guy, but here’s a little unsolicited advice. I grew up the son of the booker, I’ve been around people like him, I studied Verne, I saw Bill Watts, I saw Eric, I saw it all. And you could always tell what they were doing it for, you could always tell why they were doing it. This one, nobody’s figured him out, yet. Who’s Paul Heyman loyal to? But one thing I can guarantee, it ain’t you. Alright, alright, okay, T-Book, hold the watch. The way you’re looking at me, the way you’re eyeing me up, it looks like you guys want to fight, huh? Probably not a good decision on my part, but what the hell?

Drew McIntyre, Nick Aldis, Jacob Fatu Segment
Drew McIntyre: You know, it just occurred to me when I walked out here, this is the same arena I returned to WWE in 2017. I sat right there at Takeover. It’s the same arena that I beat Randy Orton in front of a bunch of screens for my second WWE Championship, right there. It’s the same arena I should’ve walked out, for the first time in front of live fans, WWE Champion. But I’m not champion because of Cody Rhodes. I had Cody beat on Saturday. I could see it in his eyes, everybody could feel it, but Cody was one step ahead, wasn’t he? He’s a master chess player. Think back to the match, Exhibit A: The referee took a full six seconds to finally count a pinfall I had.
Exhibit B: I had Cody dead to rights for a Claymore. I was gonna put his head right through the announce table, because that’s the only way you’re gonna take out Super Cody. And what happened? The referee got between us, and why, why, is it a DQ? But let me ask you this, if I Claymore’d Cody’s head into those stee steps, is it a DQ? No, he protected him, he gave him a second chance, and it cost me the damn championship. Do the referees work for WWE or do they work for Cody Rhodes? I don’t blame the ref. Ryan Tran, I forgive you, you have a family to provide for. I blame Cody Rhodes, he’s got all the power. And with great power, comes great responsibility, and even greater corruption, and that’s exactly what’s going on here.
Nick Aldis: You know something, Drew, a lot of things you said makes sense. I actually see a lot of this from your point of view. But you and I know, this is wrestling, you win some, you lose some. Sometimes you’re the hammer, sometimes you’re the nail, it wasn’t your night. Don’t make excuses, I’ve known you a long time, you’re better than that. And speaking of, I saw you kick the table, but I don’t know where that boot came from, because it didn’t come from our medical team.
Drew McIntyre: The WWE Medical Team, what a shock, it might as well be the Cody Rhodes Medical Team. I’ve got my own medical team. Nick, all I want is what’s mine.
Nick Aldis: Oh my god, Drew, stop, enough with the excuses, okay. You’re trying to suggest that the reason you’re not WWE Champion is because of corruption? It’s insane, okay. I have to draw the line somewhere, because that’s not what happened. The referee decision was final, that’s it, that’s all of it, that’s all I have to say about it. If you want to stay out here, go ahead, but I’m done, enjoy the rest of your night.
Drew McIntyre: Really, you’re gonna walk away from me, Nick? You know this is BS, everybody knows this is BS. I’m the champion without a championship. They all know in the locker room that I’m the most dangerous on this mic.
– Jacob Fatu comes down to the ring. Fatu snatches the microphone out of McIntyre’s hand.
Jacob Fatu: Man, shut yo ass up. And you know what, just to double back a tap in with something else, stop bitching. You come out here every week, you cry, you complain, you’re blaming everybody for your own doing. Matter of fact, why don’t you sit your peg leg ass down?
Drew McIntyre: Who the hell do you think you are? Yeah, you’ve been on a great run the past year, but I’m Drew Freakin’ McIntyre, and you wanna come out here and try to punk me out? If I wasn’t hurt right now.
Jacob Fatu: If you wasn’t hurt, what? Because you must’ve forgot, Jacob Fatu is all gas, no brakes with it, Yadadamean?
McIntyre HeadButts Fatu. Fatu SuperKicks McIntyre. Fatu attacks McIntyre with his walking boot to close this segment.
– We see Tiffany Stratton talking to Stephanie Vaquer in the backstage area. Stephanie says that she may or may not see Tiffany in Perth, Australia. Stephanie says that we’ll see about that.
– Sami Zayn thanks Rey Fenix for the awesome match they had a couple weeks ago. Sami is unsure about who will answer the US Open Challenge? It could be someone from Raw or SmackDown. Plus, they’re in Orlando, maybe it’s someone from NXT. Fenix wishes Sami good luck.
