Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura Segment
Josh Briggs: You know, your boos mean nothing, because I see what you guys cheer. You know what? When someone shows you who they really are, believe them. Inamura said that he was my friend, and he wasn’t. He was just selfish. He was spineless. They ain’t turning it off, it’s on all night. When Inamura came back to NXT, he acted like it was for me. But it wasn’t for me, the only thing he cared about was his big plan to become NXT Champion. He didn’t care about our friendship.
Look, I tried to be the best friend that I can be, but he didn’t care. I tried to make him a champion, but he failed, because he lives his by this stupid code of honor that everyone in here likes. Bro, there is no honor in NXT, how many times do I have to tell you? I am not a man of honor, I am a man of mayhem. And I should be the NXT Champion, because of Inamura, I am not. Inamura needs to learn that the only way you survive in NXT is by fighting dirty. So, buddy, next week in Philadelphia, let’s put that honor on the line, in a Philadelphia Street Fight.
Yoshiki Inamura: Briggs, I saw that you were my friend, but now you are just, how do you say it in English, a jackass. You are a jackass. I fight my way with honor. But no fear, with The Street Fight, the match is no lose, the honor will be in beating you.
Briggs and Inamura gets into a massive pull apart brawl to close this segment. Inamura chops Briggs into a multiple security guards. Inamura wipes out everybody with a Flying Crossbody Block to the outside.
Jordynne Grace Sit-Down Interview
Kelly Kincaid: Jordynne Grace, thank you so much for your time today. Now, we are all wondering, how you’re feeling after the very harsh words from Blake Monroe, not only just about you, but also about your physical journey getting to the WWE?
Jordynne Grace: Kelly, this is probably going to surprise a lot of people, but Blake was actually right.
Kelly Kincaid: No, no, what do you mean?
Jordynne Grace: I’ve spent most of my life avoiding mirrors, because I just didn’t like what I saw. And it’s not that I wasn’t beautiful, it’s not that I wasn’t strong, but I could never see myself like that. If my journey was just physical, you know, lifting weights, counting down numbers on a scale, then it probably would’ve been easier, but the real battle has never been with my body, it’s always been with my mind, my self worth, that little voice in my head saying, that I would never gonna be good enough, no matter how hard I try.
Kelly Kincaid: You know, I think that’s a feeling that a lot of women can relate to, actually. And then whenever you let Blake in, I feel like we started to see this softer side of you.
Jordynne Grace: And I let my guard down, and that’s 100% on me, that’s my fault. But I’ve always felt like an outsider, especially now. So, when someone like Blake came along, someone who I thought was an outsider in her own right, I wanted to connect, I did, I wanted to feel like we can maybe understand each other, but I see who she is now. We share the same weakness, except hers is wrapped up in desired confidence. She doesn’t think that she’s good enough, so she projects that on another women, tearing them down, so that she can stand taller. There’s real power in being able to see through someone like that. And to all the little Jordynne’s watching, remember this, real strength doesn’t feed on someone else’s weakness.
Kelly Kincaid: Now, in two weeks at Heatwave, you get Blake Monroe, one-on-one, so what can we expect?
Jordynne Grace: I’m not gonna be stepping in that ring with Blake to prove that I’m better than her or try to get revenge, I’m gonna be stepping in that ring to remind her and the WWE Universe that there’s no blueprint for a champion. Champion come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, and more importantly, champions are able to silence the doubts in their minds, and silence bullies like Blake Monroe. At Heatwave, I’m going to show Blake exactly what a champion looks like.
– We see Blake Monroe talking to AVA. Blake can’t believe that Jordynne Grace is calling her insecure. AVA tells Blake that she’ll have a face-to-face confrantation with Jordynne next week ahead of their big match at NXT Heatwave. Blake is completely flabbergasted.
– Vic Joseph & Corey Graves recaps Jacy Jayne recent title defenses in TNA over the last couple of weeks.
– Blake Howard had a backstage interview with Fatal Influence. Blake asks Jacy how important is it for them to win this match? Fallon Henley cuts Jacy off as she was about to answer. They’ve already taken care of Lola Vice, and they’ve defeated Kelani Jordan in the past, so what else is there to say? Jacy would like to thank Fallon for answering for her, and she would also like to thank Jazmyn Nyx for putting them in this match. If you want to eliminate two women from title contention, what better way than to do it all by yourself. If Lola and Kelani think that they can hang with the double champ, Jacy would love to see that. Jacy finds out that Ash By Elegance and Masha Slamovich are in the house. Lainey Reid joins the conversation and wishes Jacy good luck in her match.
– We see Oba Femi holding court with Trick Williams, Moose and Je’Von Evans in the locker room. Oba knows that they’ll never be friends, but tonight they have to co-exist against DarkState. They need to rectify this DarkState Problem. They’re not just any four men, they’re the alpha male of their species. Moose agrees with that. Moose doesn’t have to be friends, but he wants to beat up DarkState from pillar to post. Je’Von Evans points out that Trick Williams is being quiet. Trick says that it is what it is, but come TNA Emergence, Moose is holding that L, Je’Von will be holding the L in Philly next week, and Oba will be holding the biggest L at Heatwave. Robert Stone had to kick Hank & Tank out of the locker room. They’re continuing to ignore AVA’s demands.
